Third person point of view
Dev parked the bike and they both got down. They walked into the campus and went to the stage to find Akshay. " Hey ". Dev greeted and he turned to them. " Hey ". He looked a little nervous. " Did something happen ? " Dev asked and Akshay sighed. " I checked the forecast and it said no rain, but I am still worried. I swear I will cry if it rains ".
The both of them laughed. Akshay would indeed do what he said if it turns out that way. " It is fine. Don't worry. It will not rain most likely ". " I wish so too ". Akshay said and put his hands together praying. Dev and Aravind exchanged a look. Akshay then went back to looking after things. The fest would start at 5:30 and students will be coming from around 4:30.
And now it was around 3:40 so they had some time. Aravind just wanted to accompany Dev and came with him. Their friends are only going to come after a while. Aravind followed Dev to their band practice room. They all greeted Dev and then Aravind. " So what is the theme for your outfit this year ? " Their drummer asked looking at Dev.
" You should ask him ". Dev said showing Aravind. Aravind thought about it for a second. Previously he always had a name for the outfits he made Dev wear. " I am not sure this time. You guys can give it a name when you see it ". They all laughed and chatted about various things. Soon their gang also arrived.
They got volunteer badges from Akshay to be able to come in since it was still early. The practice room was lively with all of them. When it was time, they all got up and took the instruments to put them in a nearby class. They finished that and walked out. They saw Akshay has gotten busier as students started coming in.
" Hello ". They all turned to the voice and saw Rashi. She looked well dressed. " You are the host ? " Aravind asked and she nodded. " All the best ". " Thanks ". She smiled and walked away. The show soon started. They started with a dance performance and then their principal gave a small speech. They then had a skit and another dance performance.
They had a game for the crowd and the sun set. They turned the lights on and it was the real party mood now. They soon gave a break for an hour so that everyone could go and have dinner. The band had food supplied directly there itself. Akshay brought one for Aravind too. Aravind refused but Akshay insisted.
" We always have extra, so it is nothing ". Aravind couldn't refuse anymore. Their gang went out to have dinner and also look around. They all had in the classroom itself and put the boxes away. They then had to change their clothes. Aravind was standing guard outside the door while they changed inside. They were done and knocked on the door.
Aravind walked in and noticed Dev was wearing only the jeans and t-shirt. As it was a tank top, his arms and a little of the chest area were all visible. Aravind gulped and looked away. " Woah, look at all the muscle ". Their band mate teased making Dev chuckle. He indeed looked really eye pleasing.
He tried on the denim coat first and then the shirt. " Which do you think is good ? " They all looked conflicted. " Both are fine ". " Just put the coat on the shirt ". Aravind said and Dev did as he was asked. " Good ? " All of their eyes lit up and they nodded. It would soon be their turn. They took out all the instruments and walked out.
They slowly got on the stage and started arranging the instruments. They were done with the arrangement and got down to be on standby. The students were all gathering slowly. Aravind gave two water bottles to Dev. " Do well ". Dev smiled and drank some water. Their gang arrived and wished them all luck.
Rashi announced about the performance and the crowd cheered. The lights were dimmed a little and they all got into positions. When they turned brighter, the crowd cheered louder. Dev smiled making them scream again. " Hello everyone ". They all cheered. Dev chuckled. Aravind found it particularly nice on the ears.
" Looks like you guys had nice food. We did too. And we have quite a few songs lined up, so don't waste too much of your energy now itself. There is also the ending event. Look forward to it. With that being said... " He glanced at his band mates. " Shall we start ? " He asked and they all gave an okay sign.
" Alright. Are you guys ready ? " He asked the crowd and they gave a big yes. He smiled. " Let's go ". The lights dimmed again. Dev was confident about it. He performed quite a few times, so he was not nervous at all and just enjoyed it. Aravind watched as the light fell on Dev. He started singing and the crowd went nuts.
Aravind covered his ears at the deafening sound. Their gang already left his side wanting to watch from the front. He was the only one left on the side. He enjoyed as Dev sang and liked it just as much as the crowd; maybe a little more actually. Dev kept interacting with the crowd and also sang one song after the other.
