Third person point of view
" Let's go. They all should be looking for us ". Aravind said and Dev nodded. They walked out of the room and locked it. Dev took Aravind's hand in his as they were the only ones around. Dev let go when they were closer to the crowd. They went to find Akshay to give the keys. " Was that planned ? " Aravind and Dev looked at each other not knowing what to say.
" Was it bad ? " Aravind asked back. Akshay shook his head quickly. " I was thinking about why you never participated in the audition back then. You almost finished four years silently without even letting us know you could sing. It just came as a big surprise. The whole crowd loved it, so there is no issue at all ". The both of them were relieved.
They then went to join the crowd. Their friends came to find them and they were already dancing. The both of them also joined and had a nice time. It was around 11 that they were finally done. Everyone started leaving. It was too crowded at the parking lot, so Dev told Aravind to wait outside. Aravind waited and Dev finally came out.
He removed his shirt and coat. Aravind looked at him and nodded suggestively. Dev chuckled. " I got too sweaty ". Aravind smiled and took the helmet, putting it on. They got on the bike and drove away. There weren't many vehicles as it was already night. Aravind looked at Dev through the mirror. He was fully concentrating on the road.
He carefully put his hands around Dev's waist and hugged him. Dev was surprised at the action. His back was feeling cold from all the sweat being evaporated and also the night temperature. But he felt warm as soon as Aravind hugged him. He put his hand on Aravind's, smiling at him from the side. Aravind also smiled.
Dev put his hand back on the handle. " How do you feel about having your wish come true ? " Aravind asked making Dev laugh. " On cloud nine. Like I am dancing on clouds. It almost feels surreal actually ". Aravind chuckled. When they reached their colony, Aravind texted Atharva. Atharva told him that he would be at home.
So they asked him to be awake to open the door for them. Dev decided to not disturb his parents and spend the night at Aravind's. Dev went to park the bike. Aravind went to the door and texted Atharva that they were there. The door opened almost instantly. Dev quickly went inside too. They went to their own rooms.
The both of them sat down on the bed; the fatigue finally kicking in. " You want to take a bath first ? " Aravind asked and Dev nodded. He took out his change of clothes from the bag and went to the bathroom. Aravind took the coat and shirt putting them on the chair to let them air dry. He also took out Dev's other clothes and put them aside too.
He put both of their bags away and sat down on the bed. Dev finished and walked out dressed in t-shirt and shorts. Aravind picked up his things and went to the bathroom. He also took a quick shower and walked out. He put the clothes in his hands away. He saw Dev plugging his phone for charging.
" The other switch ". Aravind said and Dev did as he was told. He turned to the side and noticed Aravind standing in hand's distance. He quickly took a step forward, putting his hand around Aravind's waist and pulling him closer. Aravind totally did not see that coming. His breath caught in his throat and he coughed a little.
" What are you doing ? " He whisper yelled. Dev moved forward to kiss but Aravind dodged letting out a giggle. Dev tried once again but failed. " Why ? " Dev asked not knowing what to do. Aravind said in a hushed tone. " This is my house and my room. My parents are right next door ". " And ? " Dev asked and Aravind scoffed. " How can - "
He didn't get to finish as Dev put a hand behind his head and pushed it forward with no chance for him to escape this time. Aravind's eyes went wide. He just stared at Dev's eye lashes which fluttered as he continued to kiss with his head lowered. Aravind slowly let out a breath and kissed Dev back. Dev pulled him closer.
Aravind let out a sigh and kissed back. He put his hands on Dev's shoulders. Dev kissed harder and tilted his head to the side. Aravind tilted in the opposite direction. Their breathing slowly started getting heavier. Aravind felt his heart racing and could also feel Dev's which seemed to be just as fast.
Even though they spoke it out loud, they were not able to say or do anything. It was as if they were still friends till a few minutes ago. But now Aravind finally seemed to register that they were dating. Dev kissed hard, the sound resonating in the silent night. Aravind pulled away as he couldn't breathe well and the embarrassment made his cheeks burn.
Their chests rose and fell in sync. Aravind gulped and felt better. " Since we are dating now, want to go on a date tomorrow ? " Dev asked and Aravind nodded without lifting his head. He was too shy to look up at Dev. Dev noticed this and chuckled. He reached out and turned the light off. There was only a dim light left.
" I have one more thing I want to do ". Dev said. " What ? " " Cuddle ". Dev answered with a grin and pulled Aravind to the bed. He slept and pulled Aravind into his arms. " Isn't this pacing too fast ? " Aravind asked and Dev grinned. " I have waited long enough. So let me be ". Aravind chuckled.
" Your arm will go numb ". Aravind said, looking at Dev. " It is fine ". Aravind shrugged and slept. He did feel a bit awkward but didn't change his position. Besides the awkwardness, it also felt good. His heart felt sweet like honey. His nerves were taut but now he finally relaxed. As he was slipping into dreamland, he snuggled closer to Dev.
Dev smiled and observed Aravind's face even though he couldn't see well with the little light that was there. He just couldn't believe it. He never expected such a surprise. He kissed Aravind's forehead and closed his eyes too. He thought he would be too excited to sleep but all the tiredness finally caught up to him and he fell asleep in a few seconds.
