Chapter 3 - A Name Only I Own

That figure seemed to stare straight at me, as I had popped out my head to look back at him. Was there something wrong with me? I wondered, my attention shifting to the soft hands of mother, which suddenly caressed me. "You're a curious one. Wait till you meet Moisi."

Haaa, wait what? Moisi— meet Moisi? Am I not Moisi instead, I looked up to her, tilting my head and scanning her face to check if all was ok here. Seeming to notice my concern, she chuckled softly before speaking. "You are named after your father, he was also named after his father and the other also. A tradition among for the first sons of Clan Tyro, Moisi Tyro.

That sounded like a cool name, it was nice and better than numbers at least. Bambins were named randomly on the ceremonies, all Binies would be sent to the naming grounds and a Namer since that's what we called them. I Darak67, was the 67th Bambin to have the namespin land on that name. I even recalled seeing another and he was Darak48— haha, hmmm.

"But I didn't want my son sharing all his names, it didn't make him as special as he deserved it."

Huh? Really? Does she mean I get to have my own name, what if its another number?

"Elorm."

'Elorm?' I managed to say it like she did, not sounding stupid like earlier.

"Mmmhm, Moisi Elorm Tyro— you like it?"

Like it? Hah, this mother of mine, I love it!

'Yekp Yekp!' Not again with these words, I needed teeths already. Ugh, at least it didn't kill my excitement one bit, cause I got my own name.

"Hehe, I knew you'd like it."

I had a big smile up my face, as I wanted it even wider though it seems my lips were smaller than a biny's.

Relaxing back in her arms, I could see we were in a well-built area which had well smoothened soil forming the walls and ceilings, not forgetting the flooring. Torches burning with an orange flame, could be seen around also among others.

'Eeek?' I squeaked loudly, drawing mother's attention unawares as she stopped in her tracks, curiously turning to look at what had me squeaking.

"Ah, that's a painting of Tumni Tyro. Founder of The Clan, a big short man he was." Mother informed, giggling at her last words, being right after all.

The figure I could see was indeed short, adorned in armour though not a full metal— supporting a hand on a sword while giving a left sided pose. But that wasn't what caught my attention, as I wondered how they had gotten a young version of this founder up there. Was that his body? Did he die young? My latter question being answered the next second by mother, who somehow knew what I was thinking. "The founder was a strong mouse, living up to 20 good years— did have lots of adventures in his time."

'Eh...' I was out of words, and thoughts also. The words resounded in my ears again— 20 years. Did I hear it right? This founder had lived for that number of years. Wasn't that the duration from a Biny to a Bino[Toddler] then a Binola[Child] was another 30. I couldn't believe this, how? I can't live such a short lifetime— would I be able find out what I needed?

[You Won't]

'Eh? You're back?' I was surprised to see a screen suddenly appear before my eyes.

[Never Left]

"You're hungry? Let's hurry up then." I heard mother say, though I hadn't shone any signs.

'What, I didn't—' I paused mid-squeak, as I'd realized something, I was speaking fluently. Why did she misunderstand my words then? It was fluent but, –my eyes widened– in Bambi, rather than the language she knew.

Of course, I could speak it without the need of teeths. This had been my only language for hundreds of years, I could even do it without a mouth — that was pure exaggeration. But it all made sense now, still the fact that I had to learn another language, seemed stressing. Why can't everyone learn mine instead, haha.

'Oh?'

[Updating Stats]

-Name: Moisi Elorm Tyro

-Age: 2 years old

Whaaat?! I'm like this and already 2? Isn't that like 18 years left for me, she even said the founder was a strong one. Something must be up here, I'll have to find out what caused this— wait, if so, how old is mother then?

-Health: Average

-Strength: Absolutely Weak

Eh? Someone hit me cause I don't think I'm seeing everything right here. Wasn't the worst very, when did absolutely join in the list? I didn't even have my strength tested and you're already jumping into conclusions.

-Agility: Fast

Okay, now that caught me off guard? That means I'm as fast as the word itself — yesss...

-Endurance: Very Low

What was they use of fast when I couldn't go far without tiring? My endurance was high as a Bambi. Hah, I could lift mountains— pure exaggeration of course.

That was that on the screen, no more or less. It was considerable— apart from being absolutely weak— for my current age at least. Binies would be as fragile as glass at this age, so it wasn't much of a bother though.

"Mi Lady."

"Mi Lady."

The voices of two figures who stood on both sides of the wall drew my attention, as my eyes shot open. I had shut them to study my stats, being clearer in the dark.

These voices belonged to another fullmetal armoured figures, however, one of the voices didn't sound masculine and I could tell. The one to the left was shorter than the other, probably the same as mother's height. Making me wonder how I'd ever become that tall, when suddenly something came to mind— are they some type of security? As these two had pointy metal rods in hand.

"Thank you for protecting this litter." I heard mother say to the two figures, one responding.

"Nah problem, Mi Lady." The feminine one said, mother nodding and continuing on her way when a hand suddenly stopped us.

"I don't mean any offense mi lady, buh..." The voice of the short one was heard again, pausing as she turned to look at the other for a second, before resuming.

"...there's nah way yad taking him outta here at the moment."
