Bulma's lips curled into a small smile. "Please take care of my baby. He is my everything. I love him more than life itself."
King Kai chuckled. "I'm sure he misses you too, Miss Bulma. And don't worry about him too much, I've never seen someone so naturally gifted when it comes to the spiritual arts. By the time I'm done with his training, I'll send him back to you. Honestly, depending on how far he goes… Ah, no, that might be expecting too much actually… Anyway, trust that you'll be able to see him again. There in the living world, I mean. Not over here in other world…"
"When you get the chance, please tell him that his mothers love him, his daddy loves him, his brothers and sister love him, we all miss him, and that there might be some more little siblings on the way."
"Oh my, I bet he'll be excited to hear that. Anyway, I'll contact you again sometime later to give you an update. Take care, oh, and be wary of those two on their way to earth, they are dangerous beings who only want to kill…"
King Kai disconnected the telepathic link, and let out a sigh of relief. "There, did that make you feel better, Bosa?"
Bosa, still a little confused about everything that's been going on, had asked to see his mother. "I… I wish I could be there."
King Kai chuckled, and stood up straight facing Bosa. "You will soon, Bosa. But I want to train you in a special art. Few ever get to see this art, and even fewer can even learn it. Once you master this technique, you should be able to manage a return trip in an instant. There's also a few other people I'll have you meet once you learn a little bit more."
Bosa was a sucker for rare techniques, so this was right up his alley. His eyes sparkled with passion and intrigue. "Well then, what are we wasting time for? Let's start this training."
And with that Bosa began his training with King Kai, there was no need to pass a bar for jokes because King Kai is the one who willingly took Bosa in. Furthermore, it was odd, but Bosa was almost running around freely on King Kai's planet. The gravity certainly affected him quite a bit, but it wasn't enough to worry too much about.
"Bosa, how exactly are you able to move around so easily?"
"Huh? Oh, my mommy made a chamber at home that went up to 5 times gravity. There was an accident one day, a few years ago. After that, my sister Ushichi and I started to increase the gravity we were used to while the adults were away." Bosa then paused and thought about it. "I think it was also right around the time that daddy got his tail back from Shenron."
King Kai thought for a moment. "Alright, now let's begin. I'll start by saying I usually teach my specialty moves of the Kaio-ken and the Genki-dama. But these cause far too much strain on the body. Seeing as you're still a child, these moves are definitely not a good match for you. Instead I'm teaching you Spirit Control. I'll add in a few other Kai abilities, but we have to get there first."
With a calm mind, Bosa began the spirit control training. While performing the training, King Kai would tell his punny jokes, as well as all those dad jokes he had been storing for a rainy day. Of course, in between the jokes, Bosa would get explanations of the history of this art, as well as a few pointers. Though, with Bosa, the pointers needed were few and far between.
That brain of his… He really did get a great mixture from his parents. A shame his real father is such a pathetic man. I wonder if it's possible for that man to change?
~ Gravity Chamber ~
Goku and the others were sparring at 5 times gravity. Even Ushichi was in the mix too, the way she felt that day, and constantly waking up to the sound of crying, only to realize it was her own crying that woke her up. She was determined to play a part in taking the two bad guys down a peg or two.
Gohan and Chosho, weren't part of the sparring match, but they were in the chamber, actively putting in effort to improve. Their goal was similar to Ushichi's, though they were beating themselves up for not having joined Ushichi and Bosa in their earlier training. Had they been there when it happened, it might have been different. And they might have been able to; bathe, eat, play and sleep with their beloved big brother. The big brother that had been a big part of their lives, for their whole life.
Bulma, Chichi, and Launch all worked in Bulma's Lab, helping her out with the deconstruction and reconstruction of things.
Dr. Briefs was also helping out with the alien tech. Though he was more focused on building a portable gravity chamber. For a few reasons, the most obvious one being the ability to set one up anywhere.
Chiaotzu and Yamcha, they had finished locating the dragon balls. Yamcha went his separate way to visit Korrin Tower. Something that sparked an idea, one that was once thought impossible before.
"Then again, no one ever asked Master Korrin, did they?"
A Capsule Corps employee raised their brow. "Huh, what's that about Chiaotzu?"
"Those pouches you have in your breast pocket, they have a bean that restores you to full power in an instant. We don't have too many of them right now, but…"
"Wait, really? So these are rare resources then? But why give one to us? We're nothing in the face guys like you."
"That's exactly why. You guys might die without such measures. Kinda wishing Yamcha was the one who kicked the bucket this time, Bosa didn't deserve that…"
"Then… Is there some way to grow more of them or something like that? I'd really prefer to do that if at all possible. Holding such a powerful treasure makes me mourn on a whole other level. I'd be more than willing to go without one for a while longer if it means more of them can be produced. I'd much rather be the dead one, than a kid, any day of the week."
