Chapter 18 - A desperate escape

Ino pushed forward, his body aching from exhaustion. The exit was right there. Just a few more steps—

BOOM!

A massive blast exploded behind him.

Fire. Water. Earth. Wind.

The four elements swirled together in a devastating wave.

Ino barely reacted in time. He leaped, twisting his body midair, but the force of the impact still sent him crashing to the ground.

He groaned in pain, trying to push himself up.

Footsteps.

Hook and Matthew stood over him.

Hook smirked, spinning a kunai. "You fought well, but this is the end."

Ino clenched his fists, ready to fight even in his weakened state.

Then—

SLASH!

A blur. A flash of silver.

Dark soldiers collapsed instantly.

Munfa.

He landed beside Ino, adjusting his wrist-blades. "Sorry I'm late… again."

Hook narrowed his eyes. "Tch… Two against two now. Seems fair."

Matthew took a step back, gripping his wand tightly. He wasn't a fighter—he needed to escape.

But before he could react—

Munfa moved.

Vanished.

He reappeared behind Matthew in a blink.

SWIPE!

Matthew's eyes widened—his wand was gone.

Munfa held it up, smirking. "Oops… my bad."

CRACK!

The wand shattered in his hands. Matthew's greatest weapon was gone.

Matthew took a step back, his face pale. He turned to run—

But Hook wasn't panicking.

He raised his hands—telekinesis.

Everything around them lifted into the air.

Weapons. Stones. Bodies.

Then—they all came flying forward.

A deadly storm of debris.

Ino and Munfa dodged. Spun. Weaved through the chaos.

A blade barely missed Ino's face. A sharp rock cut Munfa's arm.

But they kept moving.

Then—Ino struck.

He closed the distance—fast. Precise. Deadly.

One kick to Hook's ribs. A punch to his jaw. A spinning kick—sending Hook flying.

Hook crashed hard.

He coughed, wiping blood from his lips. He looked up at Ino and Munfa, both standing strong.

Matthew was already running deeper into the base.

Hook gritted his teeth. "You're not getting out of here."

He signaled, and more dark soldiers arrived—blocking the exit.

Ino narrowed his eyes. This wasn't over yet.
