Lily's POV
I must have fallen asleep or something somewhere along the way, because when I woke up, I was in an unfamiliar room and my body still ached a little from the bruises
I tried standing up to examine my surrounding when I heard that icy voice
"Stay in bed. You're not strong enough to walk around"
I turned and saw it was the mysterious guy who saved me yesterday, he was sitting on a chair and writing something, I wondered how he knew I was awake even without looking at me
"Thanks for saving me yesterday, I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't come along" I said and he only nodded as an acknowledgement. Ugh! This guy was kind of annoying
"I'll have a maid get you something light to eat" he suddenly said
"Oh, thanks, but um... I'm not really hungry" I said. He turned and I could see he was no longer wearing the mask
"It's not an option" he said icily "I have some issues to take care of. Make sure you eat before I'm back, and don't attempt moving for now" he continued and grabbed a pair of gloves before leaving whatever he had been writing
Few minutes later, a young girl, probably a year or two older than me came in with a tray of light pap. She bowed and placed it on the bedside table
"Um, Thanks, but I don't need it, I already told your master I'm not hungry" I said
"But miss, you have to eat, the Prince specifically asked me to prepare this for you, and no one disobeys Prince Adrian's order" she said
So he was a prince huh? No wonder his sword skills were top notch
"Okay then, you can leave it here, I'll eat it later" I said. I had no intention of eating it later, but I didn't want the poor girl to get into trouble either
"Thank you, my Lady" she bowed and left
After she left, I got busy with my thoughts, I wondered what William and Mom were doing. Mom would definitely be furious, and William might feel guilty. But I had to admit to myself, I had no regrets whatsoever for coming out. Sure, I got kidnapped, injured and probably would have been killed. But on the bright side, I was in a castle, met a kind maid and a mysterious Prince
But Alas! I couldn't stay here forever, I needed to get back home, I'll talk to the Prince about it when he returns. But for now, I could just enjoy some rest
