Chapter 11 - Chapter Ten: Princess Fiona

Adrian's POV

Today is the morning I'm gonna take Lily home, after the little drama last night with dad. I just want to sneak her out before anyone noticed anything suspicious.

I had woken up an hour early and sent a maid to get her an outfit for travelling

I was about leaving my room when a maid informed me that my presence was required for breakfast

I walked down the stairs and saw my parents with an unwanted visitor as far as I was concerned. Princess Fiona. My worst Enemy!

"Good Morning Father, Mother" I greeted, deliberately ignoring Fiona as I sat down, dad nodded as an acknowledgement to my greeting

"Good Morning Adrian, how was your night?" Mom asked

"Fine thank you" I said

"Adrian. Fiona just arrived from Westeria and we thought it would be a good idea if you both spent some....."

"I have plans for today Father. I'm afraid I will not be spending any time with Princess Fiona. Can we eat now? The food is getting cold" I interrupted

Dad was about to say something but mom signaled him to calm down. I ate my food quickly as possible cause I didn't want to be in the same place as Fiona for too long

"I'm done with my meal. May I be excused!?" I asked and mom nodded. I left the table and Fiona also excused herself before following me

"Adrian, I've missed you so much. You're even more..."

"Princess Fiona! Do not Ever call me by my name! It's " Your Highness " I said, not hiding my disgust

"But we're soon to be engaged Adrian. And when you become King, I'll be your Queen" she said and I couldn't help but laugh

"You? My Queen? Oh please. That's ridiculous. I can't even stay in the same space with you for ten minutes, you'll never be my Queen Princess Fiona" I said and she burst into tears, speaking softly

"Adrian please, I know I was wrong, and I know you're mad at me, but please here me out. I....."

I walked away before she could even explain. I didn't want to here any explanation of any sort. We used to be friends. Well, that was until she betrayed me

"I'm not interested in your explanation Princess Fiona" I said and left as she sobbed

I dressed up in a casual outfit and went to the room I prepared for Lily and saw that she was already ready in the outfit I had prepared for her. She was wearing her blonde wig but honestly. I preferred her strawberry blonde hair

"Ready?" I asked

"Yeah. But your parents....."

"Won't know a thing" I said and I locked my room door, pushing my bookshelf to reveal a secret passage. We walked through it until we got to the stables. Unfortunately my horse had been seized so I had to use another horse.

I spotted my dad's horse Vincent and smirked. Vincent was a very Proud horse and most times could be stubborn. He wouldn't let anyone ride him but Dad and of course me.

I approached him carefully and mounted him and helped Lily up, although he was reluctant to have another person, but he didn't neigh much in complain

We rode out of the castle and into the town, the plan was to drop Lily off at the entrance of the forest and she assured me she could find her way

We were almost there when I heard a mocking voice behind me

"Well Well Well. If it isn't Prince Adrian of Floramund. I see you haven't stopped sneaking outside the castle walls. And with a Blondie this time" The voice said and I turned

"Jason!" I said gritting my teeth in anger

"Ouch! Adrian. It's been three years. You're not really still mad at me. Are you?" He asked

"I am, Jason. Sometimes I do wonder how you intend on being King someday. I mean if you're already..."

"Look who's talking. I'm not the one sneaking out of the castle walls. With a Blondie and oh! Is that Vincent? You're even riding your father's horse!" He said

"Look Adrian, Wake up, everyone knows your Parents are gonna get you engaged with Fiona so cut short every dream you have concerning this low life Blondie!" He continued
