Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: New Start

Morning arrived in the Toyonaka region of Osaka, where his uncle, Takeshi Renji, lived with his daughter, Aoi Renji. The air was crisp, the sky a pale blue, and the sound of cicadas buzzed through the quiet neighborhood.

Dirga sat at the breakfast table, still adjusting to his new surroundings. The scent of miso soup and grilled fish filled the air, grounding him in the reality that he was no longer in Indonesia.

"So, where do you want to go to school?" Takeshi asked casually, sipping his tea.

Before Dirga could answer, Aoi leaned forward with a grin.

"Come to my school! It'll be fun!" she said, practically bouncing in her seat.

Dirga glanced at her. Aoi was a year older, already in her first year of junior high. In his previous life, he had waited until April to start at Toyonaka Kensei Junior High with her. But this time, he had a better idea.

He turned to Takeshi. "Ojii-san, I want to go to your school instead."

Takeshi raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? It's an international school, the curriculum's different. But if you're serious, you won't have to wait until April. We accept students in September."

Exactly what Dirga had planned.

He couldn't afford to waste time. This was the year the school would form its basketball team. Three years from now, under a legendary coach, they'd reach the national tournament. That was the door he needed to kick open.

"That's fine, Ojii-san. I want to start as soon as possible."

Takeshi smiled. "Great! I'll handle your application. Oh, and you'll be happy to know—we're starting a basketball team this year."

Dirga feigned surprise. "Really? That's awesome!"

"Hmph. If you join their team, you'll lose to my school, blehh!" Aoi teased, sticking her tongue out.

Dirga chuckled. "We'll see about that."

"Don't get ahead of yourselves," Takeshi said with a laugh. "First things first—let's get you enrolled."

Dirga nodded, but his mind was already racing. He had no time to waste.

After breakfast, he returned to his room and shut the door. The sunlight crept through the curtains, but all he could see was the path ahead.

This was the first step toward his new future. But before anything else, he had to understand the system.

But first—let's see what skill I get.

"System, spin the skill wheel."

A digital roulette spun rapidly in front of him, shimmering with dozens of options. Then, it stopped.

[Congratulations! You have acquired: 'Form Speed Lv1'.]

['Form Speed Lv1' increases the speed of your shooting, running, blocking, and overall movement efficiency by 10%.]

Dirga's eyes widened.

That's... actually kind of broken.

It didn't boost his raw stats—but it made everything he did smoother, faster, and cleaner. For someone rebuilding from the ground up, that was massive.

He jumped to his feet, eyes burning with new energy.

But then Damn it. Finding a basketball court wouldn't be easy. This wasn't Indonesia, In indonesia He already know where he can play. He couldn't just walk outside and find one on every block.

He looked out the window.

The driveway wasn't big, but it would do for now.

"Guess I'll start here."

He grabbed the ball from his bag and stepped outside. The early sun glinted off the pavement. He bounced the ball experimentally—once, twice. Then a crossover. Another. Faster.

It felt... different. Sharper. Tighter.Like he wasn't just moving—he was flowing.

Dirga grinned.

This time, I won't fail.
