With those final words, the dragon began fading away into a dark mist. At the same time, the sounds of the frozen world returned.
Still unable to wrap his head around everything, Jin took a deep breath to calm down and was about to turn around when he felt a burning sensation on his hand.
Looking at the back of his right hand, he had the mark of a dragon's face with a crown above it. Rubbing his finger over it, the realization that what the dragon spoke of was true. That in two months, the world would be invaded.
"Jin, what's wrong? Why did you drop everything on the floor?" Granny Seiko asked
"Sorry about that, Granny Seiko, I felt something bite my back, it was just a small bug," Jin said, making up a lie.
"Really, you should have the doctor check you out. I have heard lots of cases of people getting sick from bug bites," Granny Seiko said, concerned.
"Don't worry, Granny, I will be fine, but we should get home soon," Jin replied, picking up the bags of items and walking home.
Pushing aside her concern, she walked with Jin, and they made their way to Jin's home. After a five-minute walk, they arrived at a slightly larger cabin. Walking inside, they went straight to the kitchen and began unpacking all their food.
"Okay, I will get started on the curry. You go take a shower, I know you probably didn't after your morning hunt," Granny Seiko said
"How did you know I went hunting today?"
"The patch of blood outside, and you didn't buy any fresh meat today."
"Even at your age, you are very perceptive," Jin laughed as he made his way to the bathroom.
Walking inside, Jin turned on the water and let the tub fill up. Because he enjoyed cold baths in the morning, he did not place any hot coal under the bath. Sitting in the bath, Jin finally acknowledged the floating black and red screens before him.

Giving the system a nod, Jin listened as it explained all its other functions. Missions would provide him with daily and event-based missions that would reward him with boosts to his strength. Inventory was a subspace that allowed him to store and retrieve items. The kingdom function would enable him to manage his kingdom once it was registered. Lastly, the teacher's section allowed him to summon his teachers, who were chosen by Oroboro, to learn from them.

"No, I understand it all for now. I will call on you if I have any questions," Jin replied, getting out of the bath and wiping himself down with a towel.
Getting a new change of clothing, Jin went downstairs and began helping Granny Seiko cook the large dinner.
