When inside, he welded the bases of both artefact together. The runes on then alligned perfectly. COULD YOU THROWN ME THE BARS? NO NEED TO SHOUT WE CAN HEAR YOU. THEN WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING? BECAUSE YOU SHOUTED FIRST. THEN STOP. NO YOU STOP. NO YOU STOP. YOU STARTED IT, YOU STOP IT.
Could you two idiots shut up, said Yamino. Fabro looked up, there she was up in the air with bars in her hands, she took one in her right hand. No, no, no don't do it Yamino, don't you dare, she grinned and threw the bar at the speed of actual lightening.
Fabro raised his hand and caught it, then came another and another and another. Yamiko was laughing her tears out, shouting you go little sis. Fabro was really not enjoying this.
Not only did he have to catch object moving at the speed of lighting, he had to neutralize the shockwaves lest they destroy the entire structure, it needed quite a bit of skill even though he was much stronger than Yamino.
When she was done, the sleeves of his jacket were burnt by the heat released by the friction. He looked at aggrieved, she just grinned at him, it a bit cute if he says so himself, Yamino doesn't usually smile let alone grin like that.
After catching all the bars it was time to get back to business. The bars were around 4 metres long and 8cm thick. He welded them together between the two structures in a net like formation.
At first glance it looked simple but anybody who knows anything about rune inscriptions would see that it was actually a formation pattern. Formation are formed when a group runes are arranged to work together as whole.
Although the bars themselves are not runes the runes on them are what forming the formation. What even more impressive is the formation on the bars connect with the formations on both structures forming something called a parallel rune sequence.
Sequences are formed when formation work together in a system without interfering with each other. There are parallel and series sequences. Parallel meaning if one formation break the others will continue working whereas in a series is one goes all goes.
A prerequisite for a formation is a singular energy source, each rune of a formation must draw energy from the same source. Whereas that is not necessary in a sequence. Each formation can have it own energy source but they are most likely to interfere with one another so it better to have something called a source point.
That create a glaring weak point though, since if the source point breaks the entire sequence loses it energy source but without a source point a sequence would never reach it full potential.
Satisfied with his work Fabro went out of the heater. He realised he had to build a ladder of some sort inside since people who will be operating this either won't be able to fly like him or jump as high like Yamino.
By the time he was done it was already morning, he just had to test his creation, he went back inside and near the base at the height of an adult man was a small hole with runes surrounding it, this was the source point.
It had a man gathering formation, normally it would be useless to draw a mana gathering formation on a formation core, since the mana gathered by it is inert, it only concentrate mana in the atmosphere.
Formations in general cannot draw or use atmospheric mana so they need a mana source. However what Fabro did was a bit special, he reverse engineered the mana siphoning formation which is used to draw mana from object into the atmosphere.
Used the mana transference formation to transfer the siphoned mana into the system. However even with all his ingenious he still couldn't make a system entirely dependent on the atmospheric mana.
The inert mana drawn with this sequence was super inefficient, it could barely cause a mana lamp to light up dimly, there was a limit to how much inert mana could do. He still needed a mana core which had not only purified mana but also active mana.
The sequence was to be used as support. The source point would use a mana core as the main source of power with the atmospheric man as support. By his calculation the energy within a rank one low grade mana core would've lasted a bit over a year supporting this structure.
With the sequence in place it would last about a decade, nearly 10x the estimated time. He was truly proud of his creation but of course it was great, he was the greatest of all after all.
He put the mana core into the source point. The system runes lit up, the ones around the source point glowed blue which was the colour of pure mana while those on the bars glowed red and those on the wind tube glowed light green. He could hear the blades with the wind tube spinning but the top four tubes were closed.
The heater lit up but the heat did not reach the area around the source point or the ladder as if there was a barrier protecting those places and there was. He had imprinted heat repulsion formation around them.
The formation was formed from water and barrier runes, it created a sort of permeable membrane like barrier made from almost transparent water energy, it wasn't exactly water, it more water aligned energy.
He climbed out. And watched. The heater glowed red through the slits. The temperature within the surrounding 200 metres rose, it was not hot but very warm. After about an hour, the tubes on top opened, hot air came out the top tubes into different directions at great speed, the temperature rose further. After about 5 seconds, the tubes closes again only to open 10minutes later.
What are you doing? Asked Yamiko.Checking the area of effect to see how many I need to create. Why don't you get somebody else to make them? Sell them or something. Sell them to who? I don't know, you the crafter, don't you have crafter friends with licences?
You might have a point, what a surprise. Wanna die? He pretended to not hear her. I need you to do something for me, he said with a serious tone which was rare for him. Yamiko knew this meant business.
Yes boss, what do you need? she replied seriously as well.
