Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Able to See the Stand

There is no inherent superiority or inferiority between natural Stand users and those who acquire Stand abilities through external means. The strength of a Stand user largely depends on their ability values, their Stand's powers, and how they use them. The most important factor, however, is the mind, as the Stand is a manifestation of one's spirit.

In order to acquire a Stand, Yamcha made a lot of preparations.

In line with how Koichi Hirose acquired his Stand ability in the original storyline, Yamcha made the most cautious arrangements.

Although one can gain Stand abilities by surviving a direct hit from the arrow, what if he couldn't survive it? What if Yamcha wasn't the chosen one by the 'arrow'?

Thus, the process of preventing Angelo from killing Ryohei Higashikata and building rapport with Jousuke Higashikata was set in motion. Why else would Yamcha go to such lengths? Why pretend to be an international police officer so recklessly?

Was it simply to meet the main characters?

With Jousuke Higashikata's Crazy Diamond, there was a certain guarantee that he wouldn't die.

As long as he survived the arrow, he would gain a Stand ability.

Although it seemed like Yamcha was exploiting Jousuke, it worked out for him as his grandfather wasn't dead, and he benefited from it.

It was a win-win situation!

Watching the confrontation between Jousuke and Iggy, Yamcha silently collected the arrow on the ground.

Although it wasn't the Insect Arrow, it was still a very useful item. If used properly, it could theoretically create an army of Stand users.

Of course, creating such an army would require sacrificing tens of thousands of lives.

But this couldn't obscure the fact that the 'arrow' was a useful tool.

If there were healing methods, it could potentially be used for mass production.

"Iggy, what is that idiot doing?" Rainbow Village Koichi, from upstairs, couldn't help but shout out when he saw Yamcha take the arrow.

He hadn't expected Jousuke Higashikata to have such a strong healing ability, healing Yamcha's wounds in an instant.

The situation was looking unfavorable for them, which made him anxious.

"Your name is Iggy, right? You call him 'older brother,' so you're Koichi Hirose, right? I know both of you from the records. Actually, you're victims of the DIO incident."

Yamcha said to the Hirose brothers.

Essentially, the two brothers were victims of the DIO event.

"Since you haven't committed any heinous crimes, if you surrender now, you might get a lighter sentence. But if you resist for no reason, you'll be locked up for much longer."

"You should know who I am."

Yamcha continued, trying to exert psychological pressure on Koichi Hirose.

"What do we do? If they capture my brother, he's going to prison," Iggy, now awake, became anxious when he heard Yamcha's words and nervously looked up at Koichi Hirose from the second-floor window.

"Idiot brother, how can I have such a stupid brother?" Koichi Hirose, upstairs, glared at his younger brother with disdain, unaffected by Yamcha's words. This guy had a much stronger mental fortitude than ordinary people.

"But he's from the International Police."

Iggy, who had been scolded, muttered pitifully.

"This isn't a game! Just kill them here and now, and it'll all be over!"

"Your Stand, 'The Hand,' is a terrifying power that makes my skin crawl just thinking about it."

"Quickly deal with these guys!"

"I understand, older brother." After hearing his brother's words, Iggy's gaze began to sharpen.

A Stand, white with a hint of blue, emerged behind him.

So this is a Stand user? The fact that I can see the Stand means I must have gained a Stand ability.

Yamcha thought to himself, clearly seeing the Stand behind Iggy.

The most intuitive sign of being a Stand user is whether or not you can see a Stand.

Before being hit by the arrow, Yamcha couldn't see any Stands, but after being hit, he could see them clearly.

This undoubtedly confirmed that he had gained Stand abilities, though they hadn't fully awakened yet.

Iggy's Stand is called "The Hand," with the following stats: Destructive Power B, Precision C, Durability C, Range D, Potential C, Speed B.

The stats are average, but as his brother said, his Stand has a terrifying ability.

The right hand of "The Hand" can erase space.

This is a truly horrifying ability.

It can completely ignore the opponent's defenses and even use the space-erasing power for short-distance teleportation.

A single mistake could be fatal.

Even Crazy Diamond couldn't save someone from that.

But... this absurdly powerful ability was given to Iggy.

Just like Iggy looks on the surface, his brain isn't the sharpest, and he can't effectively use this ability, which significantly lowers his danger level.

A typical case of a powerful ability, but a clueless user.

If someone smarter were to use this power, they'd easily be a boss-level threat.

Iggy was completely overwhelmed by Jousuke.

His powerful abilities barely made any impact.

His stats were easily crushed by Jousuke's Crazy Diamond.

Not only was he unable to land any effective attacks, but he couldn't even touch a single hair of Jousuke's.

"Idiot brother, you're completely useless." After Jousuke took advantage of the opening and knocked Iggy down, Koichi Hirose, watching from above, could no longer stay calm.

Jousuke hadn't even broken a sweat fighting Iggy.

"That arrow is the only one of its kind. We need to retrieve it for our purpose."

"Since you, useless brother, can't take care of them, I'll have to step in myself."

Koichi Hirose raised his head to look at the sky, which was gradually turning overcast: "Fortunately, the heavens are on my side."

A boss-like declaration, a boss-like entrance.

Yamcha, watching from the side, noticed the mist around them growing denser, filling the air with a strange atmosphere.

A foggy day?

Suddenly, with a loud bang, the door of the mansion was pushed open from the inside. Yet, no one or animal appeared, and the dark room seemed to hide something.

Then, from the pitch-black room, a few star-like sparks flashed, accompanied by faint crackling sounds. Countless tiny bullets shot out rapidly, forming a web of attacks that covered the people in the yard.

These bullets were much smaller than regular ones, and while their destructive power was reduced, the sheer number of them made them impossible to avoid without injury.

Unfortunately...

Clang! Clang! Clang! A series of metallic sounds rang out.

The dense stream of tiny bullets was intercepted by countless floating stones.

Yamcha raised his index finger, and numerous stones began to float around him, shielding him, Jousuke, and Koichi Hirose.

This was Yamcha's psychic power.
