Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: New Beginning In Orario

In the bustling city of Orario, a young man with black colored hair, golden eyes, and a pair of feline ears strolled through the lively marketplace. His tail swayed behind him with every step, but no one gave it a second glance—after all, in this world, such features were perfectly normal.

"It's been a month, but it still feels surreal."

A month ago, he had been just another regular office worker, trapped in a monotonous routine—wake up, go to work, return home late, waste time watching YouTube or reading web novels, then sleep.

But one day, he suddenly woke up in a different world, in a different body.

There was no suspicious advertisement, no old man with white hair, no ominous one-star review, and certainly no legendary Truck-kun. As far as he could remember, there had been nothing to suggest this would happen. Yet, after a month, he had to admit—this world wasn't bad at all. In fact, he felt like his current life was far better than his previous one.

Yes, this was a world where strength ruled, and the weak were prey to the strong. But was that really different from his old world?

The rich could do whatever they wanted, even if it meant breaking the law, because money could buy their way out.

The good looking one lived easier lives, receiving support—even if they were murderers.

The well-connected could steal jobs and positions they weren't even qualified for.

In short, life sucked no matter which world you lived in.

But there was one big difference this time—Felis had a cheat.

His cheat was simple: Every day, he received a Bronze Reward, which granted him a random amount between 1,000 and 10,000 Valis. He could also let them accumulate and fuse ten Bronze Rewards into a Silver Reward, which would grant him 150,000 to 500,000 Valis.

But since the Job Function was still locked, no matter how long he waited or how many rewards he fused, all he ever received was money.

As for the Storage Function, it only worked for items obtained through the system. At the very least, he didn't have to worry about pickpockets or robbery.

That's why he had tried to join a well-known Familia—but of course, he failed. After all, all he had was money, and this amount of money is not even close enough to buy equipment for first class adventurers.

Sure, he could join any random Familia just to clear the quest, but what if there was a follow-up quest related to the system, and he couldn't complete it because his Familia was too weak?

And switching Familias wasn't easy.

So instead, he asked the Guild for recommendations on dojos where he could learn basic swordsmanship for self-defense and to improve his body.

After just one month of training, there was nothing to brag about, but it was better than nothing.

With his free time, Felis also started searching for a wild Hestia in the marketplace. He wasn't sure exactly when she would be kicked out of Hephaestus's place, but based on the information he purchased, she had been freeloading there for three months already.

"Ah… I still can't join a Familia today. Might as well head back and sleep."

His days consisted of morning training, eating whenever he wanted, and sleeping as much as he pleased—all while his money accumulated effortlessly.

'Could life get any better?'

Just as he was about to leave, someone poked him from behind.

"Hey, hey! Are you looking for a Familia?"

Felis turned his head downward and saw a petite girl barely reaching his chest.

She had deep blue eyes, mid-thigh-length black hair styled into twin-tails, and a strikingly well-proportioned figure that didn't match her short stature. The snug fit of her white mini dress made her curves all the more noticeable, accentuated by the blue ribbon wrapped around her body. Her full bust pressed against the fabric, making it clear that her appeal wasn't just in her personality.

Her soft, round face and bright expression made her look youthful, but her body told a different story—one that few could ignore.

A wave of realization hit Felis.

Oh god, can I take back what I just said?! I need this!

"Hey! Can you hear me?"

Hestia pouted, tilting her head up to look at him while waving a hand in front of his face.

"Are you looking for a Familia?"

Snapping back to reality, Felis quickly apologized.

"Ah, sorry. Got distracted for a second. Yes, I'm looking for one, but since I only started training recently, no Familia wants to take me in."

That was half true and half false—only the big-name Familias had rejected him.

Hestia's eyes sparkled with excitement, her expression lighting up like a child who had just found treasure.

"Then today is your lucky day!" She puffed out her chest proudly, an act that, given her figure, drew even more attention than intended. "I'm Goddess Hestia! How about joining my Familia?"

She grabbed his hand with both of hers, her small fingers barely wrapping around his palm as she pulled at him eagerly.

Some passersby turned their heads, but upon realizing she wasn't a renowned goddess, most lost interest. A few, however, lingered—perhaps captivated by her charm, or perhaps by the way her dress hugged her figure.

Felis hesitated for a brief moment.

"If you're fine with a complete newbie like me, then—"

"Yay!!!"

Hestia didn't even let him finish before she tugged at his arm, her soft, small hands clinging to him as she bounced with excitement.

"I finally got my first Familia member! Let's go get your Falna!"

She practically dragged him forward, her boundless energy radiating like a beacon.

Felis let himself be pulled along, a small smirk creeping onto his face as he glanced at the goddess beside him.

Her petite frame, her overflowing enthusiasm, the way she pressed against him without a second thought—

Yeah, I can work with this.

Amidst the curious gazes of the onlookers, the two dashed away—marking the start of a new journey together.
