Chapter Three: The Gigglegrass Fields
Theo was first to laugh. The grass beneath them wiggled every time they moved, letting out silly sounds like squeep! and blorpt!
"It's the Gigglegrass Fields!" Nimbus said. "But be careful—if you laugh too hard, the ground turns to jelly!"
They tiptoed. They snickered. But when Poppycorn tried to fly and landed bottom-first in a jelly puddle, everyone burst into giggles.
SPLOOSH! The ground beneath them wobbled like pudding.
"We have to cross without falling in," Theo said, pointing to a stone path ahead.
"But laughter is who we are!" Luna frowned. "We can't just stop."
Nimbus fluttered up, eyes shining. "Maybe we don't need to stop laughing—we just need to laugh together."
So the friends linked arms and made up a marching song:
"Jelly toes and tickly grass,
We're brave and kind and full of sass!"
With each rhyme and giggle, the jelly steadied. The meadow helped them, bouncing them forward like trampolines. At the end of the field, a glittering bridge stretched into the sky—the Wobblebridge.
