Chapter 8 - Chapter VII A Deal with the Rodent

Point of view / Hades.

"It's cold..." It was my only thought, my only regret.

I feel so cold around my body, it hurts... It burns, I just want to sleep.

A tiredness like no other falls on my shoulders and doesn't let me breathe.

My eyelids are heavy, but my eyes refuse to rest.

But if I managed to open them, I would find myself alone with the infinity of the abyss.

My body floats, it floats without any force tying it to the ground.

A sinking feeling makes me believe I fell into the River Styx last night and couldn't escape.

The very divine essence of my existence feels bound in this infinite abyss.

But, I know it's just my imagination.

Since I... I have stopped being a God.

—Hehe... You're pathetic... Hades. —a female voice echoed from the darkest corner of this abyss, her distant voice making my blood run cold.—Who would have thought the strongest God would end up in this state? It's... Funny... hahaha. —she mocked once more, but with each sentence she spat from her jaws, her voice grew closer and closer.

That voice is... strangely familiar, I feel like I've heard it a thousand times before, but... I just don't remember.

I wanted to open my eyes, to be able to appreciate the bastard who laughs at me, but I couldn't.

I tried to force myself to stay afloat, but the more I struggled, the deeper I sank.

An invisible force keeps me tied up, has me at the mercy of this dark being.

"I see you still have the balls to resist me," this dark entity boasted once more, his smile widening cruelly. "That... fascinates me."

But unlike before, his once distant voice sounded so close it seemed to be just inches from my ears.

And at that moment, I felt afraid.

This new feeling completely froze my blood.

I had never felt it before, it was such a primordial fear that I thought it had been with me my whole life.

But, not back then, I didn't know why, I didn't know the true meaning of being afraid of the unknown.

And now I know him.

My eyes couldn't open, and I could only hear the footsteps of this being slowly surrounding me.

Every step he took resonated in the air.

My body began to shake, my throat became completely dry, and a cold sweat began to run down my back.

My breathing became erratic, my chest rising and falling violently, as I hyperventilated under the pressure of said being.

My heartbeat accelerated, my mind screamed, screamed at my limbs to escape.

A feeling so mundane ran through my body, the feeling of flight from danger and the unknown was present thanks to my new genetic code, provided by natural selection and escape from the unknown.

—You mustn't be afraid... My little Hades, since it was I who rescued you, and I am the one who keeps you alive. —the being stated, to my dismay.

—"What... What do you mean by that...?"—.were my thoughts as a sign of the last glimmer of rationality that still prevailed in my mind.

"Let me refresh your memory," the being stated, and with that, he placed one of his hands on my face, and brought his warm lips to one of my ears.

And in doing so, he exhaled a hot steam directly onto my right eardrum.

A strangely comforting shiver ran through me.

And unlike his breath, the touch of that hand, cold and abrasive, but strangely, a mental clarity like I had never felt before, rushed into my brain.

My thoughts raced as small flashes of memory assaulted my brain.

They were my memories, memories of loneliness, abandonment, and the betrayal that caused my death.

I was able to remember the betrayal of my brothers, and of the woman I loved the most.

My muscles contracted, my jaw clenched, and then, I was able to open my eyes.

And I was able to revive, I was able to revive the hatred that lies within me.

A heat similar to that caused by the embers of a small campfire began to emerge inside me.

A heat so abrasive and dying, began to warm my cold body.

My body, once frozen with fear and the monstrous cold of hell, was slowly warming up and regaining its primordial color and sparkle.

I felt better than ever, I felt the same way I did when I dueled against the Titans.

But... Just as that force arrived, it disappeared completely, the small embers that burned in protest, went out completely.

They were extinguished with a single thought.

—"What good will this do to a mere mortal like me?"

I knew very well, I knew very well that this was useless.

It is impossible for me to complete my revenge.

I am no longer God, now I am... A simple mortal.

I'd rather die now, knowing that it's impossible to complete my revenge, than have a stupid hope that eats away at my being.

"You're mistaken about something, my dear Hades," the female voice echoed once more.

But unlike before when I couldn't open my eyes, this time, I could appreciate it.

The being that mocked me so much was a strange silhouette of a small woman.

It was an entity of perpetual darkness, its form a mere shadow of what it once was.

But... I could recognize who it was, I could recognize who I was.

-"Mind...?"

—I was once... —he answered to my disbelief —I will tell you everything, when you complete your destiny in this universe —he spoke once more while placing his small right hand on one of my cheeks.

-"Because...?"

"I don't have enough time to explain everything to you right now, just... Remember," Mind interrupted as he walked back into the abyss he came from. "Remember... Your concept."

"Mind...?" I whispered, absorbed by the image of the little nymph as she was swallowed once more by the infinite darkness of the abyss. "Mind!" I screamed, I screamed at the top of my lungs, longing for the memories of the little nymph I once loved.

I just want him... back by my side.

I raised my arm, hoping to reach her, but the more I stretched, the further she got.

And then I woke up.

I opened my eyes and realized that this time I was no longer in infinite darkness.

I shook my head from side to side hysterically, but all I could see were the same metal devices that were in the old mortal woman's infirmary.

I looked down slightly and could see the same translucent tubes connected to my outstretched arm.

A small feeling of discomfort appeared in my lower body, but, currently I couldn't think of anything else other than the little Mind nymph.

I was lying on the same type of stretcher with white sheets, but this one was different from the ones the old witch had.

These were more uncomfortable and harder.

Everything was strange, I don't remember sleeping here, I only vaguely remember sleeping under the unstoppable force of nature.

—"How the hell did I get here?"

I turned my head from side to side again, searching for some coherent answer to my current situation, but I couldn't find anything.

Everything was drab white with some machines making strange, annoying sounds.

I closed my eyes and tried to remember what had happened, and then... the memory of Mente attacked my memory.

Little Mind, the only one who had ever cheered me up in my time of need, was nowhere to be seen.

He had disappeared once again.

This filled me with despair.

I wanted to get out of there and look for the little nymph, but when I tried to stand up, my legs wouldn't respond.

I couldn't move my legs, I just couldn't feel them.

I tried, and tried, but they didn't respond.

Fear completely flooded me.

My breathing became labored, my pupils dilated, and my heart stopped momentarily.

And, with palpable fear in my being, I firmly grasped the white sheets that rested on my lap, and slowly, lifted them.

"Doctor! The patient has woken up!" A female voice interrupted me completely.

It was a voice that seemed happy and slightly confused.

And without more than 15 seconds passing, a man in a white coat who appeared to be middle-aged, along with large square glasses, appeared at the door.

"It's... incredible," he whispered as he adjusted his glasses. "The amount of anesthesia I gave him should have been enough to put him to sleep until morning," the man said in a whisper as he walked quickly toward me.

"What the hell did you do to me, asshole?" I yelled, still slightly worried about the state of my legs. "Why... Why the fuck can't I feel my legs!"

—Please calm down, it's normal, it seems the anesthesia is still in your system —the gentleman answered while reviewing some papers— You suffered the beginnings of Hypothermia, and I sedated you so we could work on your possible recovery or amputation of your limbs.

I frowned in confusion at his response.

I didn't know what the hell was going on, because the last thing I remember was someone carrying my cold body.

"But, thanks to your quirk and your friends' quick response, you were saved from having both of your legs amputated," the man stated as he looked through some papers with my image printed on one of them. "You are very lucky... Many people don't have that privilege," he finished explaining as he put the paperwork aside.

I was still completely confused by the situation, I... I just wanted answers, but, this mortal only confuses me more.

What do you mean by amputating my legs? What do you mean by friends?

This stupid mortal only makes my despair pile up more and more.

And without waiting any longer, I decided to speak.

—What do you mean by... "Friends"?

"I mean the people who have been staying with you for the past three days. Don't you know them?" the Doctor asked as he walked towards the same door he came through. "Nurse Joy, please bring the friends of patient number 234."

—Right away, Dr. Fumikawa.

This interaction only confused me more, and replacing desperation with fury, I asked once more.

"What the hell is going on here, you damn four-eyed mortal?" was my inner exclamation, but with a loud bang, the door swung wide open, and my second personality took over.

— Midoriya-san and... Kinoko-san? You... Did you bring me here? —The second personality spoke against my will while giving a warm smile.

But, the pair of teenagers didn't respond anything, and just jumped on me.

—She was so worried...! —Kinoko shouted as she hugged me tightly, not wanting me to escape.

—Me too... I should have, I should have forced you to stay at my house!

—"Get out of here, stupid and filthy mortals!"

"Don't worry, I'm fine now. The doctor told me I just need to rest," my second personality stated, against my wishes to keep these impertinent people away. "Thank you so much for saving my life," my second personality replied once again as I tried to hug both teenagers.

But this change of attitude did not go unnoticed by the Doctor's weather-beaten eyes, and approaching me, he placed both hands on the shoulders of the sobbing teenagers.

—Give me a moment, guys... Something seems strange.

"What... What do you mean by that, doctor?" Midoriya murmured as he wiped away the tears running down his freckled cheeks.

—Hades-san, by any chance... do you feel like you're being repressed by a second personality?

With his question said, my eyes opened wide, since that was exactly what was affecting me.

"Fuck yeah!" I exclaimed, pushing my greasy old face away from the mortal who'd gotten too close to me. "It sucks having to deal with that other personality!"

—Absolutely not, I don't know what you're talking about, doctor.—my second personality refuted. —I'm perfectly fine.

"I... I see," the doctor murmured as he made some notes in a small notebook he had hidden in his white coat.

And tearing off the sheet, he left it in my hand and walked away slowly.

—That's the contact of a good psychologist who is a good friend of mine, you should visit her.

—I don't need to go to a psychologist!

—Hahaha... You might need it, Hades-san —laughed a strangely shrill voice coming from behind the door.

And out of it appeared the homeless man holding a black leather briefcase next to the rodent who just laughed at me.

"He's the d... Principal Nezu!" Midoriya exclaimed as he stared at the small rodent, but far from being impressed, the boy's eyes expressed a feeling of nostalgia for the people standing there.

It was as if... He had known them for a long time.

On the other hand, Kinoko didn't react and stayed completely silent next to Midoriya.

—Hi! Long time no see Hades-san and... Completely unexpected company hehehe — greeted the little rodent while raising a paw.

"I didn't expect to see you again, you stupid brat," Aizawa stated in his monotonous and bored tone.

—What did you just call me, you fucking bum?

"The only bum here is you, you troublemaking brat," the bum clarified, a hint of annoyance in his voice.

—Well, well, don't fight, after all, you'll see each other a lot for a few years hehehe —the rodent declared to Midoriya's surprise.

—"What the fuck do you mean, stupid low-budget Micky Mouse?"

—What do you mean by that, Director Nezu?—my second personality asked as I sank my abrasive thoughts about the rodent.—Was I accepted?

"Hehehe, slow down, kiddo," Nezu mocked as he patted the bum on the shoulder. "Please, could you give us some privacy?"

—Ah... Yes, Director Nezu!

—Right away, sir... Director?

Both teenagers responded as they left the room with the homeless man, who left the briefcase on Hades' bed.

—Well, now that we're alone, I can tell you about your very... Special acceptance at UA.

....

Point of view / Third person / Midoriya.

"This... is strange." Midoriya thought as he left the hospital room. "Why... is this timeline so different from the one I remember...?"

"Excuse me..." Kinoko asked, her attention focused on the mysterious boy she'd been spending time with. "C... Could we introduce ourselves?"

—Ah...! Yes, of course —he answered, slightly startled by the sudden question. —My name is Midoriya, what's yours?

—My, my name is Kinoko...

—Kinoko? By any chance... Is Komori your last name?

—Yes!... Wait..., H-How do you know?

Midoriya didn't respond to the question, and frowned slightly, remembering something.

—"Kinoko komori... Wasn't she the girl who drowned?"

—Um, no... you didn't answer my question...

—I'm sorry! It's just... Hades-san told me about you. Yes, Hades-san told me about you! —Midoriya clarified with slight nervousness in his voice.

—Is... Is that so?... —whispered Kinoko — And... What did he tell you about me?

—About that... —Midoriya was slightly cornered by such a question, he didn't know what to say, and closing his eyes, he cheered —He said you're very pretty and that kind of thing... Haha you know.

—I... I... I... Pretty Bo?! —Kinoko exclaimed, surprised and embarrassed by the revelation. —I... I see... —she finished her initial exaltation with a small smile on her blushing face.

—"I hope Hades-san doesn't find out about this..." —Midoriya thought, slightly afraid of Hades' retaliation.

And, pushing away those depressing thoughts, he returned to his original line of thought.

—"Now that I think about it... Hades-san, he never appeared in the past that I remember."

"Why is everything so... different?" was her last thought as she watched the door to Hades's room swing open.

And from it, the aforementioned came out along with the rodent Nezu.

But unlike before, Hades looked grumpy.

—It was a pleasure doing business with you Hades-san hehehe —said Nezu as he jumped onto Aizawa's shoulder who was standing to the side of the door the whole time.

At the rodent's statement, Hades deflated slightly and returned to his room.

....

10 minutes before.

—Alright Hades-san, now... let's talk about... Business —Nezu stated with a grin from ear to ear on his small chimera face.

Hades, for his part, crossed his arms and decided to listen first.

—The UA, for the first time since its founding, has made a monumental exception for the acceptance of a student.

—And... Does that mean?

"That means that under no circumstances could you have entered my hero academy through conventional means," Nezu replied dryly as he took out a couple of papers from the briefcase Aizawa left behind.

"You have no basic education, and your records claim you're nothing more than a vagrant, but..." Nezu stated as he pulled another sheet of paper from his portfolio. "You've demonstrated not one, but two completely different and extremely powerful Quirks."

"So... That's good, right?" the second personality spoke, slightly fearful of the director's cold words.

—Hehehe... Yeah, that's a good thing, since I've been in... Some secret talks with Japan's top officials. —Nezu replied as he discarded the current sheet and picked up another. —But, I can't reveal much more to you.

"Basically... Are they using me as a simple hunting dog, or something?" Hades replied, very aware of how humans treat others with great power but little influence.

—You are... Quite perceptive, Hades-san, but, you are wrong about something.

Hades raised an eyebrow at the rodent's statement, and frowning slightly, waited for him to continue.

—You see... —Nezu began to speak while taking out another sheet of paper, but, along with a pen, —We are thinking of forming a team of exceptional people but, without worldly connections like family.

"Sign this, and I'll be able to tell you more when you begin your heroic studies," Nezu added, watching Hades' reaction expectantly.

He knew that this was an unethical action to use a homeless man with no family as a simple weapon, but there was no better test subject than him.

Instead, Hades stared at the contract in front of him, which stated that it was a confidentiality agreement.

"Why am I not surprised?" Hades murmured. "I refuse to be a dirty hunting dog!"

"I'll accept anything as long as I get a spot at UA," the second personality stated, defying Hades' demands.

And, unable to control his own body, Hades signed the contract for the rodent's happiness.

"Hehehe, excellent..." Nezu murmured as he packed his papers into his briefcase. "Then in four days you'll have your acceptance letter to UA, along with a full scholarship."

—Thank you very much for the opportunity Mr. Nezu, I won't let you down! —hailed the second personality to Hades's resentment.

—I like your optimism, kid, and speaking of which... You'll be discharged today, so... Try not to sleep outside again.

"Whatever..." Hades murmured, regaining control of his body once more.

He knew it was useless to try to refuse, since, in a matter of milliseconds, his second personality would jump out and leave him chained in a corner of his subconscious.

"By the way... The scholarship includes a UA-paid home stay," Nezu added as he left the room. "Could you help me open the door, Hades-san?" Nezu asked, waiting for Hades's response.

—"Do it yourself, damn rodent!"

"Right away, Mr. Nezu!" the second personality stated, standing up against Hades's will.

Apparently, his body had already shaken off the effects of the sedative, and he could now move his legs naturally.

....

"It was a pleasure doing business with you, Hades-san, hehehe," Nezu said, jumping onto the shoulder of an expectant Aizawa.

—Well... We'll go first, take care future students... Hehehe

—Fu... Future students?! —Kinoko asked, surprised by such a revelation.

Midoriya, on the other hand, didn't seem too affected by the news.

It was like... I knew it all along.

"Goodbye!" Nezu said, waving his little paw in farewell.

—Take good care of yourself, Director Nezu.

—G... Goodbye, Principal Nezu!

...

"I think... We should go in and check on Hades-san," Midoriya said suddenly, breaking the light blanket of silence between them.

And, nodding, Kinoko took a couple of steps forward and opened the door.

Inside the room, Hades was lying on the stretcher and staring at the ceiling as if it were the most amazing thing in existence.

—Hello... Hello Hades-san.

Hades looked away from the ceiling, and sitting down he spoke.

—Aren't you going home yet?

—Well, you see... I...

"We wanted to know where you'll be staying after you're discharged from the hospital, Hades-san," Midoriya asked, to the disbelieving looks of Hades and Kinoko. "After all... You have nowhere else to go back to, right?"

—My Midoriya! Don't you think that's too harsh of you!

"To be honest, I don't know," Hades confirmed in response to Midoriya's less-than-subtle question. "Maybe I'll have to rob another tent or something."

—No, you shouldn't steal, Hades-san, that... That's for villains a-a-a, you'll be studying to be a hero! —Kinoko stated, slightly annoyed at Hades's nonchalant statement. —Besides, the weather report says it'll be raining heavily for the rest of the week!

Hades was momentarily silent at Kinoko's outburst.

It was true that he no longer had a place to sleep, and according to the conversation with the rodent a few moments ago, he would be discharged that same day.

—So... What am I supposed to do? I have nowhere to go back to.

"Come to my house," Midoriya stated, to the disbelief of Kinoko and Hades himself.

I honestly didn't expect this.

"I refuse!" Hades replied, arms crossed.

"You have no choice... right?" Midoriya replied, flashing a dangerous smile.

And clenching his fists tightly, he whispered.

—Full layer... 1%.

And with that said, his once unruly and droopy hair now stood up slightly and a small lightning bolt ran down both of his fists.

"Oh, should I force you?" Midoriya concluded as he took a step forward.

Hades could only snort at Midoriya's threat, he felt too tired currently to put up any resistance, and with a heavy sigh he responded.

—Okay, but you'll need to lend me some clothes. The ones I had flew away next to my tent.

—Take it for granted.

—Uhmm dis... Excuse me, where do you live Midoriya-san...?

—Why do you ask Kinoko-san?

"Well... I'd like to visit you later and see how Hades-san is doing," Kinoko replied, but as she did so, she blushed wildly. "But, it's not what you imagined, it's just to see if he's okay after suffering from hypothermia!" the girl shouted, slightly dizzy at the implications she herself formulated in her teenage mind.

-OK?

—Is that mortal perhaps crazy? —Hades thought to himself, as he stood up.

....

A couple of hours passed, and Hades was finally discharged successfully.

But, thanks to Nezu's intervention, he didn't have to pay for his hospital stay, which was something that eased Hades's empty pockets.

....

A few more minutes passed, and Kinoko took a separate path, since it had become late and she had to return home.

—"Okay, now... I need to find out if it was Hades who saved Kinoko from drowning," Midoriya thought to himself as he walked beside a silent Hades. —So... Would you like to tell me how you met Kinoko-san?

"I saved her from drowning in the river next to my tent," Hades replied after a couple of seconds of thought.

Apparently, he had forgotten about it.

—It must have been fate then.

"Fate is for fools," Hades said, recalling the countless times people have died trying to fulfill or change their destiny.

"Why do you say that?" Midoriya asked as he moved closer to Hades's arm and pressed himself completely against him.

The movement was subconscious for him.

"Don't come so close, mortal!" Hades replied, backing away from the boy. "Why... Why was his chest so soft?!" Hades wondered to himself as he backed away even further from the strange mortal.

—"Oops... I forgot that when I was a teenager I pretended to be a boy..." Midoriya thought, slightly blushing at the slip. — Okay, but why do you claim that about destiny? I think it's something ingrained in each person.

"I've seen countless mortals die because of fate," Hades stated as he looked at the familiar apartment building where he had left the grass hair a few days ago.

—I see... Well, let me send a message to my mother to inform her of your arrival.

—Wait... Don't you think you should have talked to her first?

—The order of the factors does not affect the product, Hades-san.

And at such an answer, Hades rolled his eyes and decided not to speak anymore.

They were not far away, so they entered the building without delay.

—Very well, I live on the 8th floor, room 61 —Midoriya stated as he entered the elevator followed by Hades.

This was his first time in this type of metal box, and he was slightly excited about such an invention.

And looking expectantly at the teenager, Hades didn't notice the slight movement the elevator made.

—Any response from your mother?

—Oh, yeah, she said it's okay if it's for a few days.

—I... I see.

And without realizing it, the elevator stopped and opened the doors.

But, Hades didn't react to the arrival, as he was currently slightly lost in his thoughts.

Hades still couldn't explain why the boy's pecs were so soft.

Thousands of things were going through his mind, but nothing made sense to him.

"We're here!" Midoriya exclaimed as he waved his palm in front of Hades's eyes.

And thanks to that, he managed to get him out of his initial little daze.

Still, he didn't reply and decided to follow the boy.

...

Point of view / Hades.

Our footsteps echoed like lonely drops after a storm.

The tense atmosphere surrounded us in a matter of seconds, due to a ringing in one of my ears.

They were distant shouts warning me to behave.

I didn't know why this was, but it's best attributed to my second personality.

The tranquility of this empty hallway can rival the quietest nights where I used to live.

It was strangely cozy.

—We're here Hades-san, let me go in first, okay?

I nodded in acceptance of the grass hair's request.

"Why am I acting so... submissive?" I whispered, in disbelief.

I didn't know why I acted the way I did, I just felt that... Something was subconsciously compelling me and I couldn't refuse its orders.

"I need to increase my control over this body if I want to understand Mind's last words," I whispered again as I leaned against the wall next to the door to Midoriya's house. "Remember... My concept."

"Hades-san, you can come in!" Midoriya called as he swung the door open.

And at his call, I pulled myself together and entered through the now open door.

Before me, there was not only Midoriya, there, standing behind him, there was also a female version but older than the grass-headed teenager.

She appeared to be middle-aged, slightly smaller than her son, but with great attributes.

"I guess this is what you meant by the term 'Milf' I once heard from the people trapped in a box," I whispered quietly to myself as I scanned the seemingly kind woman's body.

"Hello... My name is Hades," I greeted, trying not to sound as violent as I usually do, since this woman would be offering me asylum in her home.

"Nice to meet you, Hades-san. My daughter has told me a lot about you," the woman greeted, slightly flustered by my juvenile delinquent appearance. "Please come in."

—Thank you, mortal.

—Not mortal?

"Don't get him wrong, Mom, that's just his personality," Midoriya chimed in, rolling his eyes at my "thank you."

"Akemy... I'm not entirely sure about the young man you just brought home," the woman whispered directly into her daughter's ears.

—Don't worry, Mom, he's harmless despite his personality. Think of him as a Tsundere.

"Tsun... What?" Hades intervened upon hearing the pair's conversation.

"Nothing... Nothing, forget it," Midoriya replied, holding a playful smile on his face.

...

The room fell into an eerie silence as he stared into the eyes of the lesser grass-haired man.

The staring contest continued for a couple more seconds, until I decided to let it go.

—Okay... I guess it's some strange slang for you mortals.

—Hahaha... What are you saying? Come on, come in, Midoriya added to avoid this awkward silence. —Is it true you made my favorite meal today, Mom?

—Oh... Oh yeah, wash your hands first.

"Come on Hades-san, the bathroom is this way!" Midoriya said as he took my arm and dragged me to a room that appeared to be the bathroom.

After a few moments, we arrived at the bathroom.

And, opening the door, Midoriya approached what looked like a small white pedestal with a strange key that appeared to be metallic.

"Come, wash your hands with me to save water," Midoriya commented as he took a couple of steps to her side.

Without saying a word, I approached, and repeating the same steps as the teenager, I first spread a strange, thick, translucent pink liquid on my hands.

—What do you think of my house, Hades-san?

—If my memory serves me correctly..., this is the first time I've been inside a real house.

"Then I'll make your first time worth it," Midoriya added as he moved slightly closer to me.

His clingy attitudes towards me were strange and alarming, most likely this guy was gay.

— "Now that I think about it... My brothers did the same thing," I thought to myself as I walked away slightly.

"Now rinse your hands," the green-haired man added, placing his free hand on the metal key.

And to my surprise, after doing so, water started flowing out of it.

It was interesting to see, it looked like the tube system in some of the fountains on Olympus.

—Akemy, Hades-san, dinner is served! —Midoriya's mother interrupted, to my confusion.

"Who is Akemy? I think I remember you telling me you were an only child," I asked, curious about this.

—Of course, that's my name since I'm a girl.

—Oh... So you're a girl.

....

My eyes widened and I almost suddenly separated from my current location, colliding with the closed door.

"Are you a girl?!" I exclaimed lightly, but my lips were sealed by the now woman's wet hand.

"Don't make a commotion, Hades-chan," he said, bringing his face close to one of my ears. "After all... My mom's still home, hehehe..." he continued in a strangely appealing voice.

And winking his left eye, he pushed me away from the door and left the room, leaving me confused and shocked by the revelation.

—What just happened?
