Chapter 2 - Primordial Golden Gorilla

Apocalypse World is the second dimension of the world, found on every planet except those that have conquered their Apocalypse World.

It's a devastated world, full of monsters of all kinds, not just animal types, but also zombies, undead, and plants.

To enter it, one must first become an Awakener where they can open a rift to that dimension with Anima Energy.

Sometimes there are even cases where the rift appears on its own so that ordinary people can also enter.

However, the rift that appears on its own is also a way for the monsters in Apocalypse World to come to the human world.

'I'm in Velos City 33, so I'll also appear in this city, it's said that all cities are safe enough for beginners, so it doesn't matter,' he thought.

In terms of shape, Apocalypse World would always be exactly the same as the planet they were on. Even when there was a new building on that planet, it would also appear in Apocalypse World with exactly the same shape.

The difference was that Apocalypse World had suffered a lot of damage because there had been many battles there.

'I'll try it now!'

Luis then pointed his hand forward, trying to release the mysterious energy inside his body that had appeared since he awoke.

Anima, this is something that ordinary humans do not possess.

It was energy that could transform into various elements, the most important part for Awakeners.

Of course, Awakener without spirits could not transform their Anima into any elements. However, they could still release it to create dimensional rifts. Even that could still be used to attack and produce deadly attacks despite not being transformed into any elements.

Although it was his first time using it, Luis easily controlled his Anima.

It finally came out through his palm, looking like a slightly condensed light.

When he made a slashing motion, the anima opened a gap in space.

It was a dark gap, similar to a portal except for its shape.

And it seemed to close in no time.

Luis entered without thinking.

He didn't feel afraid of that world. Instead, he was very curious because seeing that world from a video and in person would have a different sensation.

When he entered the dimensional rift, he felt like he was being pulled by a mysterious force.

In the instant after that, the scene in front of him changed.

He still appeared in the same area, but something was different.

The buildings around him no longer stood upright.

They were all in a tilted state, like they could collapse at any moment.

And he saw huge cow-like spiders clinging to the walls.

They were red in color with very long legs.

"Are they Death Flame Spiders?" said Luis.

This is one of the most common types of monsters in cities with many buildings.

His appearance quickly attracted the attention of the spiders.

They stared at him and then opened their mouths.

Xiu! Xiu! Xiu!

Their mouths suddenly spouted red threads that rushed towards him.

The threads were coated in flames that were dense like lava.

"Fuck!"

Luis instantly thought about becoming a Primordial Golden Gorilla.

He wanted to be a dragon, but he had never seen one or seen a picture of one.

If it was a Primordial Golden Gorilla, he had seen it in person on Velos 33 when it came to the human world through a dimensional rift.

He personally saw how powerful it was where its physique could easily break any object.

Basically, any monster that had the word Primordial had above-average strength.

Whoosh!

His figure instantly underwent a change and he realized that he had become enormous where his height had increased to 7 meters with a gorilla body that stood tall, covered in golden fur.

Even his wrists were like pillars because of how huge it was.

[Estimated Power: 65!]

Luis' eyes couldn't help but widen when he saw his Estimated Power which soared beyond his expectations.

65, which Awakener at Level F could reach that number.

It's not that they don't exist but their numbers must be very few.

This was because at Level F, the average of them only had one Spirit.

Monsters didn't have Spirits, but they had various Innate Skills and a strong physique from the start.

His power in the form of the Primordial Golden Gorilla was not only something he could see in the data, but he could feel.

In addition, he found a list of his innate skills on the virtual system screen.

(Skill:

- Heaven-Smashing Fist

An incredible fist attack that makes the air tremble. When used, your fist will be coated in pure golden energy and strike a wide radius area, creating a giant crater.

- Immortal Golden Fur

Your body fur can harden into a steel-hard armor and absorb energy that strikes you.

- World Sovereign Roar

A thunderous roar that can make enemies around you lose concentration and fear attacking.

- Heaven-Crushing Steps

Your leap or step will cause a localized earthquake.

- Primordial Gold Core

A source of power hidden within your body. When activated, your body glows brightly and your strength increases dramatically for a limited time).

Luis didn't expect to have up to five skills at his disposal.

After all, most Spirits usually only had two or three skills. Five can be considered a lot.

ROAR!

He roared upwards before the red threads reached him.

Even he himself was surprised by his own roar because of how loud it was.

It also produced a powerful shockwave that could be seen with the eyes.

The shockwave pushed the spiders until they fell off the wall of the building and seemed to lose consciousness.

Luis then jumped causing the earth to shake.

He then sent his huge fist at the nearest spider.

It was the size of a cow but his own body was 7 meters tall.

He was still much bigger.

His fist emitted a golden light that shone brightly, making others' eyes dazzle.

BANG!

When it struck the spider, its body instantly exploded, leaving only its fist-sized Monster Core.

At the same time, there was a mysterious light in the shape of that spider that flew towards him and then entered into his body, giving him a sensation of enhancement.

That was the Monster Soul. Every time an Awakener killed a monster, their soul would enter the body of the Awakener who killed them.

That would then increase their experience.

[Name: Luis Moonvale]

[Level: F]

(EXP: 3%)

[Estimated Power: 65]

(Spirit: none!)

Suddenly his EXP increased, instantly reaching 3%.

The amount of experience gained when killing a monster varied, depending on the type of monster. Some were very high, of course.

'Hahaha, this is so easy with such a high Estimated Power,' Luis thought with a laugh.

When several spiders finally landed on the ground, he hit the ground below hard.

Crack!

It instantly cracked the shape of the spider web, making the spiders lose their balance.

He easily approached them, kicking one and punching one.

Either his punch or kick managed to kill them.

(EXP: 9%)

His experience had increased again.

Only, after seeing how easily he killed them, the other spiders started to get scared.

They retreated and kept their distance from him.

No monster was too stupid. When they knew the enemy they were facing was stronger, they naturally wouldn't push themselves.

However, Luis didn't lose his guard.

He knew there would be stronger monsters coming.

Not long after, on the roof of one of the buildings, there really was another monster that appeared, also a Death Flame Spider except that it was much bigger.

In fact, it was almost six meters tall.

Although Luis was still taller, in overall size, the spider was still bigger.

'Looks like it's at Level 2,' Luis thought.

At Level 2, the strength of the Monsters naturally underwent quite a transformation.

However, Luis didn't feel afraid. He was also a monster, even a Primordial Monster.

His true strength was practically one level stronger than ordinary monsters.

However, when he thought of the spider as the only one coming, there was another monster that appeared beside the spider.

It was a Zombie due to its human-like form except that it had skin like the dead and bloodthirsty red eyes.

Its body size was no different from a normal human, only about 180 cm tall, but its hands had extremely long nails.

'This zombie must be on Level 2 too,' Luis thought.

Whoosh!

Suddenly the zombie jumped towards him.

It was so fast, it didn't give him time to dodge.

ROAR!

He used his roar against the zombie.

Even though it was at Level 2, his roar still managed to affect it.

Its bloodthirsty eyes became seemingly blank for a moment.

"Hmph!" Luis then activated his Primordial Gold Core which instantly made his body emit golden light.

He was amazed when it activated because his body became even bigger, reaching a height of over ten meters.

And his Estimated Power increased even higher.

[Estimated Power: 110]

It was an increase that almost doubled.

Only, activating the Primordial Gold Core completely drained his stamina, letting him know that he needed to move fast.

BANG!

He sent a fist at the zombie.

It was as if it was struck by a large piece of steel. Its body was made to bend before it was thrown off and slammed into the wall of the building until it was hollowed out.

However, it didn't die right away.

Before it could get up, Luis jumped at it, flinging himself at it with his feet ready to stomp on it hard.

Break!

When his foot stepped on its stomach, it instantly shattered.

The zombie gaped in disbelief before finally dying.

(EXP: 49%)

The increase in his EXP was completely out of his expectation.

From nine to forty-nine. This meant he gained 40 experience.

The difference in monster levels gave him so much even though he defeated the monster easily.

This was indeed the effect of surpassing levels since Level 2 monsters were basically equivalent to Level F+ Awakeners.

This kind of advantage can be obtained at lower levels because at higher levels, it will not be easy to defeat monsters that have higher levels. Even defeating monsters at the same level is difficult.

Luis then turned his gaze to the Level 2 Death Flame Spider.
