Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: There are realms after perfection

Lin Feng slowly approached the two small wild boars.

The two wild boars became alert, raised their heads to look at Lin Feng, and made grunting noises.

They seemed to be saying, if you take another step forward, I'll bite you.

Lin Feng drew the iron rod from behind him and continued walking.

If Lin Feng had drawn his bow and shot an arrow, the wild boars might have hesitated.

But seeing him pull out a stick with no deterrent effect, the two wild boars exchanged glances, let out two "oink oink" sounds, and charged together.

Lin Feng dodged to the side and struck one of them on the brow with the rod.

Bang—the wild boar looked like it had crashed into a wall, its butt lifting up.

Then it paused, twitching on the ground.

The vital point of a wild boar lies above the midpoint between its eyes, right at the center of its forehead.

A precise and forceful strike there can kill it instantly.

Lin Feng hit exactly that spot with the iron rod, and the power was enough to take it down in one blow.

The other wild boar, instead of fleeing, became more ferocious.

Bang—Lin Feng cracked its brow with the rod, and it too collapsed.

Only Lin Feng could do this—any other hunter would've had a headache facing these two.

Wild boars like to coat themselves in tree oil and then roll in mud and gravel, forming a natural armor that's hard to pierce.

Lin Feng dragged the wild boars to a stream on the mountain's edge.

Following his father's methods, he bled, skinned, and gutted them.

After simple prep, he collected dry firewood, started a fire, and began roasting the suckling pigs.

Animals in this world are generally larger than in his previous life.

So these two still counted as suckling pigs.

Lin Feng skewered the meat with a tree branch, cut a few slits, and rubbed in coarse salt.

Then he roasted them slowly over the fire.

He wasn't worried the aroma would attract wild beasts—if they came, he'd kill them too.

Half an hour later, the skin turned golden and crisp.

Lin Feng cut off a piece with his dagger and chewed it.

Each bite crunched.

The meat under the crispy skin was juicy and tender, melting in the mouth with a faint, lingering aroma.

"Not bad! Tastes just like roasted prawns.

If I had more seasoning, it'd be better—but coarse salt will do."

Lin Feng filled his stomach, eating only a tenth.

Then he summoned the attribute panel and added two breakthrough points to Beast Hunting Fist.

Name: Lin Feng

Life: 14

Martial Skill:

Hunting Bow Six Shots (Unranked) (Not yet initiated)

Beast Hunting Fist (Unranked) (Complete)

Mad Demon Rod Technique (Unranked) (Not yet initiated)

Breakthrough Points: 0

The Beast Hunting Fist reached completion, and Lin Feng's life value increased from 12 to 14.

Memories of six more years of hard training surged into his mind—shattering trees, fighting wolves, and becoming unrivaled below the demonic beast level.

After breaking through, hunger struck again.

Lin Feng ate until only bones remained.

Now refreshed and full of strength, Lin Feng crushed a boar bone easily.

Checking the panel, he discovered Beast Hunting Fist could still improve—but the next level needed ten breakthrough points.

A bit much.

Ten points take ten days to accumulate for him, but for others it'd mean thirty to forty years of practice.

What realm needs that much time?

Curious, Lin Feng decided to save points first.

If Old Wang next door returns soon, he'll put points into Mad Demon Rod Technique instead, to compare which is stronger.

Lin Feng extinguished the fire and got ready to leave.

"Oink oink"—the cry of a wild boar echoed again.

Lin Feng looked up and saw a massive boar, two meters long.

Its blood-red eyes, thick fur, sharp tusks, and muscular body exuded menace.

Lin Feng figured it was the parent of the two piglets.

It came for revenge.

Dong dong—the giant boar pawed the ground and charged like a small car.

Lin Feng leapt five or six meters forward like an eagle, landing behind it.

He wanted to test his skills on it.

The boar braked, hooves gouging deep marks, then turned and charged again.

Lin Feng sidestepped and used Fierce Tiger Pounce, smashing both fists into its side.

Crack crack—oink oink—its ribs broke with a piercing cry.

Its natural armor was no match for Lin Feng.

With two moves, he knew his strength.

"As expected, I'm invincible below demonic beasts."

Even tigers and bears wouldn't be his match now.

The boar, injured, didn't flee—just got crazier.

It charged again.

This time Lin Feng didn't dodge.

He used Poison Snake Spits Venom, thrusting a finger at its brow.

Crack—its skull shattered, and half his palm embedded into its head.

It dropped dead instantly.

"Good haul this time."

He planned to gift some good cuts to Mr. Hong and use the rest to feed his family for half a month.

Lin Feng carried the large boar on his shoulders, the two small ones in hand, and started walking home.

After two steps—whoosh whoosh—a sharp sound came.

A chill ran down his spine, hair standing on end.
