Sam walked through the big hallway, as his headache alleviated a little. The system was still making sounds of many pop-up messages, with most of them being 'Processing..' due to him unlocking all four destinies. He ignored all of them. He joined the crowd of kids gathered at the end of the hall. Another Royal Guard was standing infront of them all. When the crowd got big enough, he shouted loudly.
"All of the children who harmonized with atleast one destiny and those who didn't harmonize with even one, form separate groups. Make sure your conduct is appropriate even here, as it may be taken into account. Now line up!"
Sam got grouped with the children who had destinies. The Guards seemed to be checking now, each and everyone, whether the kids had Destinies or not, and this was a much serious check-up than the entrance at the start. Sam's turn came up after a while, and the Royal Guard had to confirm two times before letting him move forward. The guard muttered to himself, "Such a Wierd Harmony for a kid.."
"Youths of the Empire and 4 Continents, Congratulations on your Fate Selection and Harmonizing with your Destinies. Now, the Empire would like to help you all adjust and improve upon it for your future. If you are up for it, then you can step upon this Teleporter which will take you straight to the place where you all can only dream of. Don't worry, It's safe, I got teleported myself many times by this. The Empire can't force any of you to enter, but we do promise you that we will take utter most care in providing what you need for your own destiny. After all, the Four Masters themselves would also be coming and guiding you along the way in that place. Those who are interested can step on the slab in groups, and those who would need some time to think about can leave from back there. Hurry up, since we have to manage all the groups of kids coming over."
Another Guard had explained all of that. Behind him was a big slab of rock, which had various signs and symbols made upon it and near it were the glowing rocks which probably powered it. Sam didn't take one look at the exit, and instead joined the group on top of the slab. He naturally didn't wanted to decide upon it much, as there was probably nothing else for him outside in this world, because of his unusual transmigration.
Once the head count was done, and the guard okayed everything, he gave a signal to another person and it activated. Sam felt very wierd sensations, as if like ripping apart and also like forming at the same time, he could manage that feeling better cause his headache was much worse. Suddenly, the Big group of kids got teleported somewhere standing within the dark green grass. Infront of them were the big metal gates, and a beautiful lady waiting for them.
"Welcome to the Imperial Academy."
The children entered as the sturdy bars of metal opened up, and what brushed past them was the sight of a pleasant calmness. A Tranquil and a sort of fully New Feeling. The Academy was somewhere on the outskirts of the Empire, that's why it took a Teleporter to get there in an instant, And also why it spanned across so many acres. It's grounds covered like half a city length, and had many other buildings and infrastructure just to support them, as the children gathered. For Sam's POV, this whole Academy was the second most impressive thing he saw since coming to this world, the first being that floating castle.
He got into another line, and was it so tiring to be in these lines all day. After a while, Sam entered the building known as the Administration Department. His turn finally came, and he was greeted by another beautiful woman. She was dressed in a simple formal attire, that looked a bit similar to like an office suit, but still different while approaching a medieval look. She talked smoothly. "Congratulations on Harmonizing with your Destiny in the Fate Selection. Now, as you may know, the Empire would be happy to support you and your future pertaining to the Destinies you harmonized with. The Imperial Academy is exactly the place for that, and as our Empire Hails, it is also the Perfect Place you can have guidance, training, education and knowledge for any form of your Destiny! If you want to apply for enrolling in the Impressive Imperial Academy, you just have to fill out all these forms accordingly and appropriately. Remember, do be mindful on filling them, as we would match it with our records we got from the Fate Selection at all instances, so any discrepancy can result in punishment. That's all. Take a form by the side and give it back to me when you are finished. We'll be happy to have you onboard this Amazing Journey of learning and becoming a talented individual!"
Sam quietly took one of the forms and got to the side to fill it hurriedly, the whole interaction from the lady was quite awkward to him. 'Hm.. She sells it great.. for kids. It should be exhausting huh, repeating these same words... Anyways, This Form. So Name I can fill up. And Destiny that will be... Two.. I'm pretty sure that's what they must have recorded down. And then this and that. And finally my address.. what should I write here? I don't have any connections, considering I just randomly transmigrated, and no one else recognised me the whole way. Someone did say that I don't like neither from this empire nor from any other continents.. Hm.. So what should I put? Ugh Fuck it. Let's just put the Empire and no fixed place right now. I guess they should buy it that much..' Sam filled this form in 5 minutes and then gave it to the lady, as no one else was taking the place.
He hurriedly asked, "Miss.. There wouldn't be any fees or money to pay for it right? For This Academy.. Since you say the Empire supports me.. hehe..."
"Oh that. Well there is a plan for that.. but let me just check your info again.. hm.. Oh so you have two destinies! Well that's very good. Let me just confirm it with the records.." She typed upon the Holographic Screen and the Records from the Fate Selection Appeared. "Yeah you are good to go, Sam. Actually, There should have been a fee normally for those with only one Destiny. But since you have harmonized with Two, then the Empire Recognises you as a great asset, Meaning We all hope you would do great things with this Fate. So you wouldn't need to pay anything else for the Academic Expenses, it's a new policy by the Empire You know. Although if you make up the mind to take courses different than your Destinies, then you will have to pay."
"Oh ok then. That's a relief—
His words were cut off by the lady. "Although, the Lodgings of our Academy have a price too, if you want to stay here. You could stay out of the Academy, but you know how it'll be. You would have to get here from maybe far in the city, or miss your lessons. Meanwhile our Academy's Lodgings include meals, stationary, weekly supplements for destinies, and many more services exclusive to our Academy. It's only 5 Silver Coins Per Month. Would you like to pay now?" At that moment Sam got so nervous. He didn't have any place to live in the Empire, he didn't know anyone there or anyplace, he hadn't explored the Empire that much. His nervousness was sensed by the Lady as she spoke up. "Although there is one thing for your case. You can sign up here and live for free in the Lodgings. This contract affiliates you with the Empire and You may be called upon by the officials in need of any city while you are in the Central Continent. Don't worry, it won't be much as they only usually call for Emergencies. The military and other units are enough, but you may only be called to appoint in case of Emergencies. So would you sign up and be recognised as one of the Empire's asset from the get go? We'll be blessed to have a talent like you by our side for the future."
"Hell Yeah! Yes I'll sign up if that's the case. Thank you so much Miss. This means a lot for me. Although I would appreciate if the Empire could tone down my workload when in need for in the future, but anyways I'll sign." The Lady had a slight grin, of getting one point in her commission, as Sam filled out his info.
Sam stood outside the building after being informed of a few more things about the dormitories, looking at the big structures of the Academy. "Alright. Let's see what this Transmigration has in store for me, with my System. If Academy life it is, then here I come!"
