Chapter - 30
The sun was starting to set, painting the sky with soft orange shades. Iris sat at a corner table on the rooftop, wearing sunglasses and sipping black coffee.
Meanwhile, Lucius sat nearby, his arms crossed, as he scanned the area out of habit.
"He is late," Lucius muttered as he checked his watch, "Are you sure he is worth it?"
Iris sighed, "Well he is. He is annoying, but he gets results."
A minute later, a tall, lean man walked in wearing a bright floral shirt, tight jeans, and sunglasses even though the sun was going down. He waved like he was entering a party.
"Daaaamn girl, you still look rich and pissed at the same time," he said, pulling out the chair across from Iris and sitting down without asking, "Looks like I will be getting paid handsomely."
"Hello, Blake," Iris said dryly, taking off her sunglasses.
Blake leaned forward, grinning, "Did you miss me cutie?"
"I missed peace and quiet," she replied.
Lucius smirked but stayed silent.
