The car soon rolled smoothly up to the private terminal, where two staff members were already waiting. One of them opened the door before the car could even stop properly.


Iris stepped out, her heels clicking softly on the ground and her expression was calm and serious, completely opposite to what it was. Lucius stepped out behind her, still keeping an eye on her.


The driver quietly placed the bags near the jet stairs, while the pilot who was waiting for them gave a small nod.


"We are ready to take off whenever you are, ma'am," he said.


Iris didn't respond… She just walked past him, giving him a side eye.


Lucius caught up to her, still watching her face, "You sure you are okay?"


"You looked… quite shaken earlier," he said, his voice low.


Iris stopped for a second, turned to him and said in a quiet voice, "Don't be too nosy, Lucius. I am not your friend. So know your boundaries."
