Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Goblins

Goblins were the main enemies of this dungeon. They were the weakest of all humanoid-type monsters out there and usually ranged from the Basic Tier to the Mutant Tier, with only a few exceptions of Advance Tier.

So clearing this dungeon was particularly easy.

"Kiieeeehk! !"

"Kiiiuuicck! !"

These strange-looking creatures were weak enough for Hal to fight one-on-one with before he even got his power boost. Still, Hal did his utmost best to carefully hunt Goblins with his bare hands.

"Keeuk!"

"Kiieeeehk!"

When displaying such high combat prowess, both Sir Jack and Mr. Heights formed different expressions.

For Sir Jack, it was a narrowing of the eye and a face that no longer held any doubt about a certain issue. For Mr. Heights, it was a face of disbelief. The skill shown by Hal exceeded his expectations.

He just couldn't wrap his head around how an E-rank Hunter whom he used to know become so strong that he was giving him the chills.

'Scary..... really scary!' He thought.

What they didn't know was that Hal was hiding most of his power, and what they were witnessing now was only a fragment of his actual power.

Despite this, the results of each fight were remarkably different compared to the past.

Why Sir Jack and Mr Height were busy wondering about how strong Hal was, he was busy thinking about how unfortunate this situation was.

[The enemy's level is too low, and your experience points did not rise.]

[The enemy's level is too low, and your experience point did not rise.]

He kept hearing this message on and on in his ears, even as he killed more Goblins.

The level of the Goblins was simply too low, and their death did not affect whatsoever the increment of his experience point.

Hal formed a disappointed expression.

This isn't going to work...

On top of this, the magic crystals from the Goblins were also the worst grade there could be.

Hal took a look around him.

The convicts must have been excited by the taste of freedom because they were wildly swinging their weapons and energetically ripped Goblins to shreds.

"Ke ke ke!" They laughed like maniacs as they brutally smashed the Goblins.

"Kiieeeehk!"

At this point, it was difficult to tell the Monsters apart from the Hunters.

'I guess there's no reason for me to stress today.' Hal thought.

Well, he was not earning any experience points, nor was he making lots of money today, either, so it wasn't that bad to take a breather. A certain thought popped up in his mind then.

'If it's going to be like this from now on, wouldn't it be better to quit the Organization?'

'It's just if I do so, I'd have to find an alternate source for farming experience points.'

Pretty much the majority of jobs coming to the Organization's way were clearing the Gates ranked D and E. Which meant his chances of leveling up in such Gates were slim. So he needed an alternative outside the Organization.

While letting his thoughts stray here and there, the raid team went deeper into the Dungeon.

"Uh?"

"Hmm..."

They had come across a forked road, with three paths.

While everyone was still wondering which path to take, Farrell made a suggestion to Sir Jack.

"Since the difficulty of the dungeon is low, how about we split up and pick different parts, enabling us to finish quicker?" He suggested.

"Makes sense, let's do it then." Sir Jack was in full support of the idea and readily welcomed it.

Hal closes his eyes, deciding to take a sneak peek on.....

'Where can you be?' He pushed his perception to the max, scanning each path ahead of him, in search of...

'Found you.'

Hal could pick up on the auras of all living creatures inside the dungeon, and he had picked an aura that was stronger than every other aura coming from the third path that led to the right.

He was sure it was the boss monster and was hoping that maybe the boss would give him a few experience points, at the very least.

"Sir Jack...." Hal called out to Sir Jack

"I suggest we take the right path." He said.

"The right path, hmmm." Sir Jack mused for a second then made up his mind.

"Okay, let's go."

'Yes!' Hal secretly rejoiced in his head.

Hal, Sir Jack, and Mr Height chose the right pathway, William Farrell and the four convicts the left, and the remaining two went down the middle one.

As they went down the path, Hal's heart began beating faster as the aura he sensed before was becoming clearer now.

'The boss is at the end of this passage.'

Although it couldn't be described as strong, a unique and different aura from that of a Goblin was leaking out from the end of this cavern-like passageway.

He couldn't resist the urge to lay to death the boss, now!

However, groups of Goblins kept jumping out at him every step he took, which hindered their progress.

They were like a group of annoying flies. Weak but causing a lot of nuisance.

There were more than ten of them or so this time around so they caused quite a great deal of nuisance.

Some carried wooden clubs, some wooden shafts that were shapen to the best, and one even held a wooden sword, but none of them were even close to threatening him.

'Haven't you learned nothing yet? You're all too little of a being to take me on.'

"Kiieeeehk!"

"Keeuk!"

"Ke ke ki!"

They continued making those weird noises they made as they met death through Hal's fist.

Hal frowned deeply. It proved to be such a bother; these b**tards that were worth nothing alone but moved around in large groups could prove disturbing.

He threw a look at his side and was fortunate to see Sir Jack do something he had been wishing to see from up close for a very long time.

It was the use of a magical beast weapon.
