As the clock hit zero, a bright red light covered their entire bodies and teleported them to the tower's trial grounds. The trial grounds are a floor beneath the first floor also known as floor zero. The trials are always everchanging from changing in the location and the type of soul beasts you encounter but the trial grounds always have one thing in common no matter how many times they change, to ensure your survival you have to kill.
The teleportation felt kind of weird. They could feel body being split apart into smaller particles. When they were teleported to the trial grounds their cells were reassembled.
The tower decided to separate the three because if the three were together it would give them an unfair advantage. Keith was transported to a frozen tundra; Merlin was put in a forest and Kayla was transported to a vibrant island.
Keith looked around his surrounding and he could sense some other life form that wasn't a soul beast but it was a dragon hybrid. "They're bleeding," he said. Keith was debating whether or not to save the person. He really didn't have a reason to save the person but something inside him was telling him that he should save them or he'll regret it later.
He decided to follow his instincts and dashed towards the south. His figure blurred past the trees in a less than a fraction of a second and reached the location. He laid his eyes upon a white bear attacking a female dragon hybrid. He unsheathed his sword in one fluid and sliced through the bear's neck. The bear's head fell down on the ground and a fountain of blood sprayed all over the place painting the snow crimson red.

He looked over to his right and saw a girl who was panting heavily as she was putting pressure on her wound on her arm to stop the bleeding. The girl had raven black hair, pale white skin and had slim figure. Her face was like that of an angel even though she had a huge scar on her left cheek. She wore a black leather armor and held a broadsword in her bleeding arm.
He kneeled down and applied two healing runes on her arm. The runes glowed an emerald green light before slowly vanishing. One was to stop bleeding and the other one to close the wound.
The girl felt a soothing sensation throughout her whole body and opened her eyes to check on her wound and noticed that it wasn't bleeding anymore and it was fully healed. She looked forward and saw the dead bear. She looked around looking for whoever saved her but found no one. "Who saved me and why did they save me," she asked
She thought that whoever healed her was the same person who had killed the bear and saved her life. "I should probably get going and find some food and shelter to survive this trial."
"Why not eat the bear?" Keith said as he jumped down from the tree. "It has enough meat to last you for ten days."
"Who the fuck are you? And where the fuck did you come from?" She asked a bit puzzled.
"Sorry I forgot to introduce myself. My name Keith Kurosaki. Mind if I ask what you name is?"
"My name is Natasha. I am a dragon hybrid," she answered hesitantly.
"Nice to meet you," Keith said with a friendly smile. Keith wanted to shake her hand but he was able to sense some killing intent. He pushed away Natasha instinctively and big giant white bear appeared out of nowhere and bit his whole arm off. Keith backed up a few meters away from the bear and his arm regenerated slowly.
"I guess mother bear has come out to play," Keith said in a mocking tone as he unsheathed his sword. He stared at his opponent coldly and rushed toward the bear at full speed.
The bear let out a deep guttural growl before it charged at Keith. The bear brought its giant front paw up and sent crushing down at Keith. Keith wasn't fazed at all and swung his sword and cut of the bear's paw. The beast roared in agony as it took a few steps back.
The bear stared at Keith with anger filled eyes. It roared once again but this time the roar was to call the other soul beast. Bears came with pure white fur came out from all parts of the woods and attacked him. The bears attacked him with everything they had whilst the injured bear was regenerating. The attacked him with ice and claw attacks from every direction but he evaded the attacks like there were nothing.
One bear tried to sneak attack Keith but as if he had eyes at the back of his he deflected the attack. "Come on guys. Is this the best you've got?" he said in a taunting manner. The soul beasts hearing his words attacked with more ferocity than before. The barrage of attacks became more overwhelming so Keith decided to become more serious.
His aura changed into a cold and aggressive aura and he adopted a cold look in his eyes. His attacks became more lethal and precise. Each of his strikes landed on the bears vital points. He dodged the attacks of the bears easily and swiftly.
Blue blood sprayed everywhere as the bear fell to the ground lifeless. The mother bear that had called the other bears started to become worried and decided to join in the fight to tip the scales to their favor. It created giant orbs of made of ice with a few spikes at Keith. The remaining five bears also casted a barrage of ice spikes at him. As the attacks were mere inches away from Keith, he raised his hands and activated ice manipulation and turned the ice projectiles into snowflakes. The bears were shocked for a fraction of a second before charging at him with full speed.
Keith charged at them and quickly decapitated the heads of the weaker bears without breaking a sweat. He stared at the mother bear menacingly and said, "You're next."
