Keith closed his eyes and slowly drifted back to sleep. He opened his eyes and found himself in a void of darkness.
"Where am I?" he asked himself. He couldn't feel and move his body. All of his other senses other than sight and hearing were not functioning.
He stayed in this dark void for hours or day or even years since he couldn't tell how much time actually passed. He felt a bit drowsy so he decided to close his eyes and rest for now. When he opened his eye after a few hours of rest, he saw a ceiling.
He looked over to the right and to the left and saw a few familiar faces that he thought he would never see again, his younger siblings. He hoped out of his bed and shouted in a loud voice, "What did I tell you guys about sneaking into my room and sleeping in my bed without my permission?"
The two children who were sleeping beside jolted awake from their deep slumber. One was his little brother who had messy obsidian black hair and ocean blue eyes. He had the average build of an eight-year child but he was actually two years old. His skin was slightly tanned and he had strikingly handsome features. His little brother's name was Noah.
The other sibling was a cute little girl who had raven black and azure eyes. Her height was the same as the height of eight-year child but was actually the same age as Noah. Her skin was pale as moonlight and she had beautiful face that anyone would think she was angel. Her name was Natasha.
"We had a nightmare yesterday and when told big sister she said to go and sleep in your room," they both said in a cute adorable voice that Keith missed very much. To him it was like listening to music. He went up to his little siblings and hugged them tightly.
"I missed you guys," he said in somber tone as tears streamed silently down his cheeks.
"Brother are you okay?" Noah said with a doubtful look in his eyes.
"Are you really our brother?" Natasha asked, her voice laced with a bit of doubt.
"You usually don't like hugs," they both said with a bit doubt and surprise.
"I hug you little rascals once and you already doubt that I am your big brother. I guess no more hugs for you anymore," he said in teasing and slightly aggrieved tone as he pretended to cry.
The two younger siblings started to panic at seeing their big brother cry and they both tried to comfort him.
"We are not saying that it's a bad thing it's just that you usually hate hugging people and it's a bit abnormal for you to hug people," they both said in perfect sync like twins.
Keith stopped and fake crying. "Don't worry, I am perfectly fine," he reassured as he started thinking about something. "Do you guys wanna prank your big sister?" he asked them with a mischievous glint in his blue eyes. The reason Keith wanted to prank his sister was because it was April fool's day and his little siblings were good pranksters.
His siblings gave him a look that spoke volumes and nodded. "Alright I already got a list of ideas on how we should prank her but executing them without her noticing is not going to be easy," he told his siblings the plan and they listened intently even taking notes and accessing which was the best prank they could do and won't make her carry her a grudge.
"How about we poison her favorite food," Noah suggested. His suggestion earned him a few weirds looks from Keith and Natasha.
"Remember we are only trying to prank her not kill her," Keith had to remind him that they just wanted execute a harmless prank.
"Hear me out," he said in a low voice. "We'll just put some rat poison in her food and since we are hybrids it will only just cause her to have a running stomach."
"Okay now that you elaborated. I guess we can do it," Natasha said.
"Now here is the plan. Noah you are the lookout and warn us if she wakes up and Natasha and I will make the steak," Keith said to his siblings as they got out of his room through the slide door. Noah went to their big sister's room and stood guard.
Keith and Natasha went to the kitchen and took out everything they needed to prepare this stack. They cooked the steak with all of their being making sure to not overcook and not undercook it and added a few spices and they didn't forget to add the secret ingredient, rat poison.
Keith told Natasha to set the table in which she did in less than a few minutes. While she was doing that, Keith put the stake on the plate and carried it towards the table and placed it the table.
"Let's go and wake up sister," Keith and Natasha said as they wore mischievous smiles on their faces. They both walked towards her room. Keith knocked the door but as soon as he did that his dream shattered into a million little pieces and he was back in the dark void.
Keith sighed in annoyance. The dream was about to get to the good part but it shattered. Even though he knew what will happen next, he still wanted to spend a little more time with his siblings. He looked towards the front and a scorching hot bright red flame.
The flame transformed into a body of a human wearing red samurai armor. He looked at Keith and said in a deep voice, "Now's is not the time to dream. If you wish to live and pass this trial head north and regroup with your friends." The samurai disappeared and turned back into a flame. Keith jolted from his sleep and woke up Natasha from her sleep.
