Fai & Isa: Love in the Fantasy World
Part 17 – The Battle for Their World
The creatures lunged, their shadowy forms twisting unnaturally as they pounced toward Fai and Isa. The air grew heavier, thick with an unseen force pressing down on them.
Fai gripped his glowing sword tightly and slashed at the nearest creature. The blade sliced through its smoky body, dispersing part of it like mist in the wind. The creature howled but didn't disappear; instead, its body reformed almost instantly.
"They regenerate!" Fai shouted, stepping back.
Isa pulled back the string of her golden bow, an arrow of pure light forming in place. She released it, and the arrow struck one of the creatures in the chest. This time, the creature let out a deafening shriek before dissolving completely.
Isa's eyes widened. "Light! It's their weakness!"
Fai glanced at his sword. It pulsed with energy, but it was more of a solid weapon than a light-based one. He needed something stronger.
More creatures charged at them. Isa fired arrow after arrow, each shot reducing another shadowy beast to nothing. But there were too many.
"We're outnumbered," Isa panted. "We need something bigger."
Fai clenched his teeth. He remembered what the white cat had said—this world was created from their emotions. If that was true, then he could shape his weapon into something more powerful.
Closing his eyes, he focused on the warmth that connected him and Isa, on the love that had built this world. His sword began to glow brighter, its shape shifting. The blade extended, its edges sharpening, and soon, it was no longer just a sword—it was a massive blade of pure blue light.
When Fai opened his eyes, he swung the new weapon, sending a wave of energy crashing into the creatures. The moment the light touched them, they shrieked and evaporated instantly.
Isa stared in awe. "You did it!"
But before they could celebrate, the ground trembled. The sky darkened even more, and from the shadows of the dead forest, something enormous began to rise.
A pair of glowing red eyes pierced through the darkness. A deep, rumbling growl filled the air. The mist swirled violently as a gigantic form emerged.
It was the white cat.
Only now, it was much larger, its fur flickering with flames, its claws sharp enough to carve through the very air.
Fai and Isa stood their ground. They knew—this was the final test.
Isa nocked another glowing arrow. "Are you ready?"
Fai tightened his grip on his blade. "Always."
The battle for their world had truly begun.
