Ye Wen casually pulled up a chair and sat beside Bibi Dong. At this moment, the two appeared like close friends who had known each other for years.

Ye Wen then calmly recounted the details of the recent beast tide to Bibi Dong.

After a while, Bibi Dong paused her writing, her beautiful eyes brimming with killing intent as she hissed,

"That damn Tang Hao—still the same old dog who can't change his ways, always causing trouble that drags so many people into it.

Leave this to me, Ye Wen. This time, we absolutely cannot show Tang Hao any mercy. He must die without a trace. This is too much—even if the Great Elder comes, he won't be able to save him."

Ye Wen had no objections to Bibi Dong's decision. The reason they hadn't acted against Tang Hao earlier was simply to avoid alerting the Asura God behind him.

After all, the title of "Killing God" from the City of Slaughter held significant weight. According to records, only eight people in the past thousand years had earned the Killing God title by conquering the City of Slaughter. Now, excluding Bibi Dong, there should only be seven.

Moreover, without considering the boost from battle armor, Tang Hao's combat strength in this era was formidable. Unless the powerful elders from the Shrine of Offerings intervened, few could confidently claim victory over him.

However, Tang Hao had gone too far this time, affecting nearly half of the Douluo Continent. His actions had sealed his fate.

At this moment, Ye Wen was still unaware that Tang Hao had already sent Tang San into the City of Slaughter. Otherwise, he would have long ordered someone stationed there to eliminate Tang Hao and boost Bibi Dong's reputation.

As for why Ye Wen had specifically stationed people to monitor the City of Slaughter, it was because the City of Slaughter was a pivotal turning point in the overall storyline of Douluo.

Ye Wen was also curious—without the Blood-Colored Swan Kiss this time, would Tang San still manage to destroy the City of Slaughter?

If the City of Slaughter were truly destroyed, Ye Wen wouldn't mind creating a new one himself. It might even grant him a new divine authority.

It was strange—how could the primary place of worship for the Asura God be so cleanly and decisively destroyed by Tang San? Did the Asura God despise his own divine position that much?

Speaking of which, would Tang San's future ascension rely entirely on the faith power of the Sea God? That would be quite amusing.

On further reflection, according to the Earthly Hindu concept, the Asura God was akin to the celestial War God or Law Enforcer—a figure tasked with dirty and exhausting work. Their status wasn't particularly high, and their duties in the divine realm seemed similarly thankless.

Ye Wen's impression of the Asura God centered mainly on his blatant favoritism—openly helping Tang San cheat. Rather than being the God of Killing, he was more like an Asura who defied order and reveled in slaughter.

(P.S.: The Six Paths concept in Chinese mythology integrates elements from Hindu mythology. The Asura Path corresponds to beings who disdain rules and laws—warlike, chaotic gods. Those who enter this path are typically individuals who were fiercely competitive in life but lacked significant evil karma, making it one of the three higher paths of merit.)

Perhaps this was why the Asura God despised his position. Yet, despite such a flawed divine seat, the Asura God had still ascended to the level of God King. Setting aside everything else, this Asura God was undoubtedly a genius with extraordinary comprehension abilities.

He far surpassed those primal sin gods or elemental gods.

As Ye Wen progressed in his cultivation, he increasingly understood that advancing to the godly realm required not only faith-based divine power but also profound insight into the rules governing one's divine position.

Gods like Ye Wen, who had ascended through shortcuts via divine trials, had relatively weaker foundations in this aspect.

Ultimately, the issue lay with the flawed system of divine inheritance in the Douluo divine realm.

In terms of sheer talent, every Title Douluo capable of reaching level 95 or above on the Douluo Continent was a peerless genius. Yet, without a divine seat, they were doomed to die on Douluo Planet.

Thus, Ye Wen couldn't help but sigh.

If not for good fortune, coinciding with several gods planning to leave the divine realm for freedom in the vast universe, where would the opportunity for ascension come from?

Success in life depended not only on talent but also on luck and connections.

Take, for example, the original group of Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda Sect members.

Even with the aid of miraculous herbs, at best they could only reach the level of Title Douluo. Without Tang San actively securing divine seats for them in the divine realm to bolster his own faction, heh…

Just look at the number of gods created in later installments of the Douluo series.

The entire generation of the Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda Sect ascending to godhood occurred only during Tang San's era. Afterward, it was mostly members of the Tang family.

Some close companions who could have been brought to the divine realm were left behind on Douluo Planet to grow old and die. How ironic.

As Bibi Dong's direct superior, though they had exchanged letters over the years, Ye Wen rarely visited in person. He wanted to chat with Bibi Dong and discuss their next steps.

Currently, about seventy percent of the senior leadership positions in the Spirit Hall scattered across various regions had been replaced by Bibi Dong.

The main remnants were some of the older factions within the Spirit Hall in the Star Luo Empire, clinging together for warmth due to their seniority.

Because of their long-standing influence, Bibi Dong couldn't replace them and had to tolerate their presence.

Still, this was sufficient. Ye Wen nodded in satisfaction.

Among the Spirit Halls in the Star Luo Empire, the one that left the deepest impression on Ye Wen was Bishop Miles of Gengxin City.

A prime example of a freeloading scumbag.

Ye Wen inquired about Miles' situation. Though many skilled blacksmiths had been recruited from Gengxin City's Blacksmith Guild over the years, Ye Wen hadn't paid attention to what was happening there.

Bibi Dong thought for a moment.

While top-tier blacksmith resources were crucial for Ye Wen, Bibi Dong herself hadn't kept tabs on that area. She only knew that the Spirit Hall in Gengxin City hadn't caused any major issues, so she hadn't interfered.

"The situation in Gengxin City has remained stable over the years. I haven't received any reports about Bishop Miles from my subordinates. Does he have a problem?" Bibi Dong asked.

Ye Wen shook his head in disappointment. The foundation of their organization had been hastily built, allowing these slippery fish to stir up trouble beneath the surface.

After some deliberation, Ye Wen said,

"I heard this from others.

Apparently, this bishop enjoys forcibly abducting young women and arbitrarily inflating bids at auctions, only to take the items and refuse payment. Such behavior severely tarnishes the reputation of the Spirit Hall. When you return, have someone thoroughly investigate him. For our plans, such vermin has no right to exist."

Upon hearing this, Bibi Dong furrowed her delicate brows and coldly replied,

"If this is true, this scum deserves to die."

Having occupied the position of Pope for so long, Bibi Dong had developed the imposing aura of a leader. She also understood the importance of reputation to a faction. For the sake of their plans, even a Title Douluo guilty of such corruption deserved death.
