However, having obtained such a valuable resource, it wouldn't make sense to use all this divine blood solely on Ye Tianshui.
Ye Tianxin and Ye Tianchen's second martial souls had already been infused with Ye Wen's soul power, making them incredibly resilient. Ye Wen enhanced Ye Tianxin's Blue-Gold Tyrant Emperor Spear by adding the essence of the Fire Dragon King.
At the tip of the spear, a fiery dragon coiled around it, imbuing the weapon with the attribute of Extreme Fire.
As for Ye Tianchen's martial soul, Ye Wen infused it with the essence of the Ice Dragon King. The originally blue-and-gold blade turned pure white, with a blue dragon-shaped pattern forming along the blade, granting it the attribute of Extreme Ice.
It could now be called the Tianchen Ice Dragon Blade.
Upon learning that Ye Wen had secretly bestowed second martial souls upon their children, neither Ah Yin nor Poseidon were upset.
However, they did feel a bit miffed that Ye Wen hadn't informed them beforehand, giving them some time to mentally prepare. After all, this was Ye Wen's first attempt at such a feat—even the Sea God couldn't claim to be omniscient or infallible.
Though women are inherently gentle, motherhood makes them strong.
Fortunately, everything had gone smoothly in the end, and the family returned to their peaceful, carefree life.
One day, as usual, Ye Wen was immersed in researching his latest project.
*Knock, knock, knock.*
The tightly closed door suddenly echoed with a series of knocks.
Without much thought, Ye Wen simply said, "Come in."
Glancing up instinctively, Ye Wen froze.
This was the innermost part of the Blue Silver Forest. Aside from a few senior teachers and close family members, only Ye Wen and his disciples resided here.
The person who entered was a tall woman with short pink hair tinged slightly red, resembling flames, tied into a high ponytail. She exuded an air of strength and confidence.
Looking at her, Ye Wen narrowed his eyes slightly. Though he didn't recognize her appearance, the aura emanating from the woman felt somewhat familiar.
"Are you… Lin Ping?"
Lin Ping, one of the first batch of students recruited by Tian Xing Academy, possessed the martial soul Blazing Flame Spear and had an innate soul power level of seven. She was also one of the first registered disciples admitted to the inner academy. Due to her excellent performance, Ye Wen had once gifted her a bottle of Narcissus Jade Muscle Essence to enhance her cultivation potential.
Lin Ping's gaze shifted nervously, her hands fidgeting together as she hesitantly replied, "Yes, Master."
Ye Wen observed her thoughtfully. Disguising herself as a man for so long, only to reveal her true identity now—wasn't this akin to offering unsolicited kindness, which often concealed ulterior motives?
Previously, Ye Wen hadn't suspected Lin Ping's male identity.
After all, Ye Wen wasn't the type to invade others' privacy with his mental force—that would make him no better than a pervert. Moreover, their interactions were minimal, limited mostly to public lectures where he taught registered disciples about cultivation.
Considering the major events that had transpired recently, combined with Lin Ping's martial soul—a high-potential spear—it wasn't hard for Ye Wen to suspect a connection between her and the Breaking Clan.
"You're probably not surnamed Lin, and 'Lin Ping' is likely a false name. If I'm not mistaken, your real surname should be Yang, as in the Yang family of the Breaking Soul Clan."
To have her origins uncovered so quickly, Lin Ping's eyes widened in astonishment, but she quickly regained her composure. Her master was, after all, the continent's universally acknowledged number one theorist.
She bowed her head respectfully and admitted, "Exactly as you've deduced, Master."
At least she hadn't continued to deceive him—she seemed honest enough. Ye Wen nodded slightly and asked, "You've revealed your true identity today. Is there something you wish to discuss with me?"
Lin Ping hesitated, her expression conflicted. Finally, summoning her courage, she knelt abruptly, pressing her forehead to the ground, and spoke in a muffled voice, "Master, please save our Yang family! If the Spirit Hall continues to hunt us down, my loved ones will all perish!"
The small room fell into a prolonged silence.
Matters involving large factions were like pulling a single thread that unraveled the entire tapestry.
Moreover, the opponent Lin Ping sought to face was the continent's top soul master faction—the Spirit Hall. A typical master would have already expelled such a disciple, desperate to distance themselves from trouble.
Lin Ping's eyes filled with despair. Despite her relentless cultivation over the years, she had only reached level 68—far too weak to rescue her family. Attempting to do so would be like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.
She had hoped that her cultivation, far surpassing her peers, would earn her clan's respect when she returned home, especially regarding her female identity and mutated martial soul. Instead, she was met with this devastating news.
Realizing her plea for help had failed, Lin Ping slowly rose to her feet, her body stiff.
Just then, a voice suddenly rang out.
"Your name."
"What?" Lin Ping looked startled.
Ye Wen stood before her, calm and composed, as he asked, "You've been my disciple for years and now seek my aid. If you still refuse to reveal your true name, I'll have to reconsider whether to help you."
Lin Ping's eyes lit up with hope. She wasn't foolish—Ye Wen's words implied that her family might yet be saved.
"Master, forgive me. My name is Yang Wuhui, the cousin of the current leader of the Breaking Clan. Please, save our clan!"
Yang Wudi's cousin, all sharing the same generational character "Wu," made her identity easy to guess.
But what kind of person was Ye Wen? He didn't act without benefit. How could he agree to help a clan in such dire straits with just a few words?
"To make the Spirit Hall cease their pursuit of your Breakthrough Clan, I can indeed achieve that. However, your clan must join Tian Xing Academy and serve under me."
Yang Wuhui paused momentarily, but then overwhelming joy washed over her.
Though Tian Xing Academy maintained a low profile, its strength rivaled that of the upper three sects. Becoming an affiliated family of Tian Xing Academy wasn't a hardship—it was arguably better than their previous allegiance to the Hao Tian Sect.
Yang Wuhui knew well the treatment enjoyed by registered disciples. Had it not been for the agreement prohibiting her from disclosing information about the inner academy, she would have long since recruited a few members of her clan.
"Thank you, Master!"
At this moment, Ye Wen retrieved a jade pendant of azure blue from his soul space and handed it to Yang Wuhui, saying, "This is my Sage Badge. You should know how to activate it. Find your family, and show this badge to the Spirit Hall's forces. Tell them it's my will—they'll retreat.
As for what comes next, we'll discuss it after your family arrives."
Yang Wuhui accepted the jade pendant with both hands, expressing her heartfelt gratitude to Ye Wen countless times before hurrying off toward the direction her family had fled.
Among the four single-attribute clans, the Breaking Clan had the fewest weaknesses and the strongest attack power. Though they had suffered losses, they weren't as severely damaged as other affiliated forces.
What was once a family of nearly 300 people now numbered only two-thirds of that.
The Breaking Clan not only excelled in attack power but also possessed highly advanced alchemical techniques, ensuring that none of their members died from untreated severe injuries.
In the dim forest, the members of the Breaking Clan dared not light a fire, fearing discovery by the Spirit Hall.
Yang Wudi, the successor to the clan's leadership, stared coldly into the distant darkness.
"Damn Hao Tian Sect. Arrogant and domineering in peacetime, yet cowardly in the face of the Spirit Hall. They abandoned our four families to flee on their own. My Yang family will never repeat today's mistakes."
But soon, Yang Wudi's gaze grew troubled.
Few of his generation remained, and now his younger brother had been captured by the Spirit Hall, leaving him burdened with worry.
