I had already made her my bride I wasn't going to suddenly revoke that.
"You'll stay my mate but only in title," I told her.
I never planned to have a mate anyway, so this situation barely changed anything in my life.
"I understand," she responded.
"You can return and continue with the days duties and that includes your maid," I told her.
"Yes,master," she said.
"Just chief is fine from now on," I told her.
"Yes, chief," she responded and left the tent.
Inspite of the things she had gone through in this village she had a very hopeful aura about her. She seemed content with the situation. I mean of course she had no choice but to go along with what we wanted but she seemed happy.
What a strange woman.
"I hope you know you're doing," Cairn said to me after the princess left.
My eyes met his but I didn't respond.
Though there were still so many uncertainties, but I hoped this bet the prince was making proved fruitful.
