Jake pulled his legs along, trying to catch up with Sasha's brisk pace, his legs aching as he trudged them along.
Noticing Jake furious pace, Sasha stopped at her tracks abruptly beside a massive tree, turning to face him with an expectant gaze.
"What?" she asked, her voice was firm, but her eyes were betraying a hint of amusement in her expressions.
"Okay, first of all, I'm super confused right now. Secondly, I have thousands of questions to ask." Jake said, flapping his shoulders like he would soon pass out any moment from now.
He paused, holding a tree to support himself. His chest was heaving with so much exertion as he landed his gaze at her. He was freaking tired of walking.
"Save the questions for another day kid. For now, just follow me." Sasha said, rolling her eyes maliciously at him. She turned to leave, but damn! Jake's voice stopped her again.
