He lifted his eyes upward, staring at the gigantic trees, that stretched toward the sky like colossal pillars. Their trunks were so thick and gnarled, their branches were twisted awkwardly and tangled in a way that seemed like a sculpture serpent or something. They weren't straight at all.
Plus they didn't really look like the normal trees he'd see in his earth. They were so mesmerizing and terrifying at the same time.
The air around the forest was so thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves all over the place. Another weird thing was the leaves. They weren't green but blue and purple in colour. Why?
Peeeeeeew!!
He suddenly heard a sling of a rope which got him alerted. He quickly turned his face towards the direction and then his eyes landed on an old, worn, looking rope.
On top of the rope was…someone…. someone, not too clear in his view. The branches of the trees were obstructing his view so badly that he couldn't see who it was.
