After using a Full Potion on Charizard, Yang Tao released it once more—the ruthless battle machine was back.
With everyone continuing their relentless attacks, the Chitauri stopped sending reinforcements through the portal. They weren't fools; sending more troops would be a waste.
The portal was too small for their mothership to pass through, leaving them with no way to deal with Earth.
Seeing this, Tony immediately contacted S.H.I.E.L.D. to request the launch of the pre-planned missile strike.
Tony pulled out the Mind Staff, ready to shut down the portal at any moment. Just then, a massive missile flew across the sky—it was China's final truth, the DF-41. With a long tail of flames, it shot straight into the portal.
Seeing this, Tony immediately shut down the teleportation device. Without an energy supply, the portal shrank rapidly and soon disappeared.
With the war over, Yang Tao, Whitebeard, and Ren Fa all returned to their own worlds, leaving Tony and the others to clean up the remaining mess.
After returning to his world, Yang Tao sighed, "Am I too cold-hearted? Why do I feel nothing about all this killing?"
He figured the Marvel world would soon be in chaos. A giant portal appearing in the sky couldn't be hidden, and the satellites up there weren't just for decoration. But that wasn't his problem anymore.
Through this battle, he realized that his area attack skills were terrible. He could only take down enemies one by one, which was way too inefficient. Hopefully, he'd find some kind of ability or weapon that could deal large-scale damage.
"That was so close! I almost didn't make it!" Yang Tao muttered as he stored the healing potions, golden apples, totem of undying, and a fully charged quantum suit from his backpack into a chest.
Then, he discussed the battle with everyone in the group chat.
Ren Fa: "I was the only one fighting enemies one by one! You guys were wiping out whole groups at once! I'm too weak!"
Whitebeard: "Haha, Ren Fa, don't be so modest. You just stood there, and their weapons couldn't even scratch you!"
Yang Tao: "Wasn't I also just cutting them down one by one? It's so inefficient!"
Ren Fa: "Boss, stop trying to compete with us! Are you seriously not counting Charizard as your pet? One attack from it probably wiped out more enemies than I did the whole fight!"
Yang Tao: "Alright, alright, I won't argue with you on that!"
To be honest, Charizard was definitely the MVP of this battle. With its huge attack range and insane firepower, it also took most of the damage, making it the real star of the fight.
Seeing that it was already daytime in his world, Yang Tao said goodbye to everyone and closed the group chat.
"The events of *Avengers 1* are done… Next time, Thanos will show up in person!" Yang Tao thought about the Marvel storyline and what was coming next.
"Well, I'll deal with that when it happens. No need to think about it now!"
He teleported back to the Thaumcraft world and continued playing his match-three puzzle game. Before long, he had researched all the available notes.
Next up was crafting various pieces of equipment.
"First, let's build the Infusion Altar!" He took out the Thaumonomicon and checked the crafting method. After gathering the materials, he began constructing it.
Finally, he placed the Runic Matrix on top and activated it with a right-click from his wand.
And just like that, the most magical structure in the Thaumcraft world was complete.
Looking at the Runic Matrix in the center, Yang Tao recalled how amazed he was the first time he saw a moving structure. But after playing with so many mods, that excitement had faded.
After all, he had an ice queen at home who could move on her own!
