Chapter 124 - Chapter 123: The Magical Forest

Yang Tao had been exploring the world of Harry Potter for two days. He didn't just visit Diagon Alley but also took the chance to see some of England's famous landmarks—treating it like a mini vacation.

Back home, Yang Tao was preparing to continue his mysterious adventure. "The new mod doesn't have the materials I need. I'll have to go gather them. Let's check out the Magical Forest first!"

He soared into the sky, searching for the Magical Forest from his mysterious mod.

It didn't take him long to find it. The forest was made up of massive oak trees, with some rare silver trees scattered among them—one of the main things he was looking for.

He flew down and immediately started gathering resources from the surroundings—Grand Tree, Silverwood, Quicksilver Flowers, and Magic Beans.

Quicksilver Flowers could be directly turned into Quicksilver, but that would be a waste. There were Quicksilver mines underground, and with the Thaumcraft mod, it was also possible to extract Thaumcraft ores from nothing.

Before long, he had collected a large number of resources. The main ones, Silverwood and Grand Tree, were both massive, and just one was usually enough for the long run.

"There aren't enough Quicksilver Flowers… I'll come back and collect more later!" He was satisfied as he looked through his inventory, then headed back to his Thaumcraft research area.

Once he got back, he took out ink and a pen, then merged the two worktables he had previously placed side by side, turning them into a research table. He then used the Iron Wand he carried to turn another worktable into a Thaumcraft-style crafting table.

He started his crazy research mode. By studying different items at the research table, he could obtain aspect points and unlock new aspects.

But first, he had to have those aspects. In the beginning, the research table could only study basic elements like earth, water, and air.

It was also possible to combine two aspects to create a new one—like combining earth and water to create life.

"I need to make a Thaumometer to scan things!" A Thaumometer was very easy to craft—just some glass, a gold ingot, and two of any kind of shard.

With a Thaumometer, he could see aura nodes through the glass and study different blocks for their aspects.

He made three of them right away, so he'd have enough for crafting the Goggles of Revealing later.

And just like that, he began his journey of scanning everything.

"I can't take it anymore! I'm gonna throw up!" Yang Tao had scanned everything he could see with the Thaumometer—even the Nether and the End.

At this point, he was acting almost like an addict. Every time he held the Thaumometer, he wanted to scan whatever was in sight. His hands were moving even faster than his brain! But the rewards were worth it—his research points had skyrocketed, and he was ready to unlock more discoveries.

As long as he had ink, a pen, and paper, he could craft research notes through the Thaumonomicon.

In reality, connecting aspects wasn't too hard. As long as he combined enough of them early on, the research notes would naturally show the right connections later.

Time flew by, and he didn't even notice the large number of monsters spawning nearby and approaching him.

Unlike his home base, this Thaumcraft research area wasn't well-lit with torches. He hadn't had the time to organize it properly—just preparing all the messy research materials had already taken up all his time.

At that moment, a red-eyed zombie sneaked up behind him and smacked him hard, finally snapping Yang Tao out of his research trance.

The sudden shock made him jump. Everyone knows that when you're deeply focused on something, being startled like that is way worse than usual!

He jumped back in fear. "Damn it!" Then he looked around and saw a horde of monsters closing in on him. He quickly pulled out his bow and started fighting back.

"Good thing there aren't any crazy monster mods active, or I'd be dead by now!" Just thinking about the terrifying modded mobs made him shiver.

"It's getting late—I'll deal with this tomorrow! Time to head back and check out my Katana mod!"

Back home, he pulled out a wooden doll. "First, let's craft the Yama Blade!"

He used the minimap to teleport to the End Portal, jumped in, and took out the Ender Crystals he had prepared. Without hesitation, he began resurrecting the Ender Dragon.

Now that his gear was upgraded, fighting the Ender Dragon was way too easy.

A loud dragon roar echoed as the Ender Dragon revived and appeared high in the sky.

Looking at the freshly restored Ender Crystals, he smirked. "This time, taking them out will be a breeze. Too bad for you, I can fly!"

In no time, he destroyed all the crystals, leaving the Ender Dragon completely exposed. He took out his bow and fired arrows one after another. The once-mighty final boss of vanilla Minecraft now looked utterly helpless.

Before long, the Ender Dragon had only a sliver of health left. Yang Tao quickly put away his bow, pulled out the wooden doll, and rushed in for the final blow. Even though the dragon had barely any health left, it still took him three swings to finish it off!

 "Yama Blade! Here I come!"
