Chapter 92 - Chapter 91: Mewtwo

After setting everything up for Zabuza, Yang Tao returned to the nether to continue his treasure hunt.

Riding Suicune along the road, he wasn't moving as fast as flying, but there was no rush.

Along the way, he found several villages. The chests inside were filled with "trash," which he "kindly" helped clean out.

"Another peaceful and harmonious day!" he said as he left the looted village. "Sigh, these villagers are so cold. I help clean up their junk, and they don't even thank me!"

Looking at the items in his backpack, Yang Tao nodded in satisfaction.

He kept exploring and battling, and the Pokémon that spawned around him grew stronger and stronger.

Then, a massive Mewtwo appeared in front of him. Yang Tao quickly took out his Master Ball and rushed toward it.

But then, he saw the "boss" label above Mewtwo's head, instantly extinguishing his excitement. Frustrated, he put his Poké Ball away.

"A boss?! Seriously?"

In the Pokémon mod, bosses spawn randomly. Defeating them can grant great rewards, including Master Balls, Rare Candies, and other valuable items.

"A boss, huh? Well, today I'm gonna teach you a lesson!"

"Go, Suicune!" Yang Tao confidently sent out his two level 80 Pokémon, ready to teach this Mewtwo a lesson.

A little while later...

Yang Tao appeared at the Pokémon Center and handed his Poké Balls to Nurse Joy.

"Aaaah! I got destroyed!" Yang Tao shouted in frustration.

He had planned to take down Mewtwo and earn some rewards, but instead, he got wiped out in an instant.

"Damn it! Are you picking on me just because I'm bad at Pokémon battles?"

Yang Tao decided to learn from Ash so he could come back and take revenge on Mewtwo.

While continuing to search for Poké Ball treasure chests, he asked in the group chat, "Ash, are you there? Can you teach me how to battle properly?"

Ash was preparing for a Gym challenge when he saw the message from the group owner. Feeling confident, he replied, "No problem, just teleport over! I'll teach you!"

Seeing Ash's reply, Yang Tao instantly felt reassured and teleported over through the chat group.

Ash, who was resting in his room, was happy to see Yang Tao arrive. "You're here! Let me introduce you—this is Pikachu!"

Yang Tao looked at the Pikachu sitting on Ash's head and greeted it.

Remembering why he had come, Yang Tao got straight to the point. "Ash, please teach me how to battle! I'm really bad at this!"

Without overthinking it, Ash responded, "To get better at battles, you first need to understand your own Pokémon. How about we find a quiet place to practice? Nothing beats hands-on experience!"

Yang Tao nodded. "Makes sense."

"Alright, let's go to the forest. It'll be awkward if a crowd gathers."

With that, he took Ash and flew toward the depths of the forest.

Before long, they found a good clearing for battle. Ash said, "Battling also helps build trust with your Pokémon. The closer you are, the better you'll work together. You also need to know all your Pokémon's moves and their effects. Once you get that down, you'll be ready for battles."

Hearing Ash speak so confidently, Yang Tao found himself convinced.

"Should we have a battle to try it out?" Yang Tao asked cautiously.

"Sure! Pikachu, you're up!"

Pikachu, who had been sitting on Ash's head, leaped down and took a battle stance.

"Pika! Pika!" It called out excitedly, as if urging Yang Tao to hurry up.

Yang Tao grabbed a Poké Ball and threw it, imitating Ash's style. "Go, Suicune!"

A flash of red light appeared, and the elegant Suicune materialized on the battlefield. Yang Tao didn't notice anything unusual.

But Ash and Pikachu, standing opposite him, immediately felt the pressure radiating from Suicune. Pikachu, upon seeing Suicune, bolted back into Ash's arms.

Ash stiffly turned his head toward Yang Tao. "What did you say in the group chat earlier?"

Yang Tao, completely confused by Ash and Pikachu's reactions, replied, "I asked if you could teach me how to battle."

"Nope! I'm out!" Ash said without hesitation."

Now it was Yang Tao's turn to freeze up. "Why?!"

Ash explained, "That's Suicune, one of the Legendary Beasts! We treat it as a legend around here! And you just casually bring out a Suicune—how am I supposed to teach you?!"

Ash felt completely cheated. In the real world, Legendary Pokémon were incredibly rare.

"I don't even know what moves it has! How am I supposed to help you train?"

Yang Tao said, "That's easy! I'll just check its moves and tell you—"

As he spoke, he opened Suicune's move list. The moment he saw it, he froze.

Bite, Leer, Bubble Beam, Rain Dance, Gust... Every single move it could naturally learn at any level was there.

The skills learned using the training device before were still there.

"Uh..." Yang Tao didn't know what to say. Since Ash hadn't even beaten the first gym yet, he probably wasn't very experienced. Better to talk about it later.

Yang Tao decided to figure out how to battle Pokémon on his own.

"Alright, Ash, thanks for the help. I'll take you back first. I'll figure things out at home."
