Zabuza felt a chill run down his spine when he saw the smile on Yang Tao's face.
"Master, what do you need me to do?"
Perfect! He has the right attitude. Yang Tao was very pleased with his "assistant"—his efforts to track down the Okama King had not been in vain.
"Come with me and help me farm some stuff. It won't take long!"
He handed Zabuza a fully enchanted diamond sword and a fire resistance potion, then led him to the Nether portal.
At first, when Zabuza saw the portal, he thought Yang Tao was taking him to another world. But this portal looked completely different from the ones he had seen before.
The frame was filled with a glowing purple barrier, constantly emitting small purple particles.
Yang Tao stepped onto the portal. "Hurry up and get on!"
Hearing that, Zabuza followed. The next moment, he was hit with a strong wave of dizziness.
He instinctively closed his eyes. When the dizziness faded, a blast of heat rushed toward him.
Opening his eyes, all he could see was red—red rocks, boiling lava. In the distance, strange-looking creatures were wandering around, some holding golden swords.
"Master, what is this place?"
Yang Tao replied, "This is the Nether."
Zabuza misunderstood, thinking this was the world of the dead—the Pure Land from the Naruto world.
Looking at the harsh environment around him, he couldn't help but believe Yang Tao's words.
"Sir, is this where the souls of the dead end up?"
Hearing Zabuza ask that, Yang Tao realized he had misunderstood. He found it amusing and explained, "No, this is just another dimension called the Nether. It's not really the final resting place for souls."
Zabuza nodded, not fully understanding, and continued following Yang Tao toward the Nether Fortress. As they went deeper, his body started to react to the extreme heat.
Yang Tao's body had completely inherited Steve's abilities, making him fully digitized. However, Zabuza hadn't undergone the same change. While he could use certain Minecraft items and features, his body remained that of a normal human.
The Nether was filled with lava, and the intense heat was too much for Zabuza to handle. His exposed skin had turned red, on the verge of getting burned.
Seeing Zabuza's condition, Yang Tao was startled. He had never encountered this issue before, and Zabuza was the first person he had ever brought to the Nether.
Yang Tao quickly said, "Hurry up! Drink the fire resistance potion I gave you!"
Zabuza immediately took out the potion and drank it. His skin color returned to normal within seconds.
Yang Tao let out a sigh of relief. "That bottle lasts for eight minutes. When the effect wears off, drink another one."
Before long, they arrived at the Nether Fortress. The massive structure stretched into the distance, with giant pillars supporting it above a sea of lava.
In the game, the fortress might not feel that impressive, but in reality, standing before a building nearly 70 to 80 meters tall was overwhelming.
It was about the height of a twelve-story building. Looking down from the top could make anyone dizzy.
Yang Tao had seen it many times before, so he wasn't fazed.
But for Zabuza, this was his first time seeing such an enormous structure. He was captivated by its eerie beauty.
"Sir, did you build this?" Zabuza asked, noticing clear signs that it was man-made.
Yang Tao wasn't sure how to explain it. "This was naturally generated. If you don't get it, just assume I built it."
Leading Zabuza to a modified Blaze spawner, Yang Tao pointed at the Blazes that had already spawned inside. "Your task is simple—just stay here and kill these Blazes to collect their drops."
"Oh, and be careful! Monsters will spawn all over the fortress. Never attack the Piglins—the creatures holding golden swords. As long as you leave them alone, they won't bother you.
"Also, watch out for Wither Skeletons. They'll attack you on sight, and their hits deal a lot of damage. But don't worry—I'll modify the area so they can't get through spaces two blocks high. That way, you can take them down easily."
After giving Zabuza some key survival tips, Yang Tao built another Nether portal nearby for quick travel between the Nether and the Overworld.
He also placed a large chest next to it, filling it with fire resistance potions. Patting the chest, he told Zabuza, "If you run out of potions, grab some from here. If you get hungry, go back home and eat with Haku. I might be away for a couple of days."
Yang Tao planned to spend the next two days gathering stone slabs to summon llamas and see if he could unlock a new mod.
