It was a good day to relax, so Mingmei was just lying on her bed with headphones plugged in, eyes closed and dreaming of all the recent events. She suddenly got a thought and started talking to herself.

Mrs. Gao came there.

"Finally, you are a couple now! I saw that spark coming long time before!" Mrs. Gao teased them.
"You are right! I'll try my best to cherish this relationship then" Lie smiled.
Mingmei was shy.
"That's like my boy! Well, what would you like to have?" asked Mrs. Gao.
He looked at Mingmei to order.
"The same menu we had last time," said Mingmei.
"Okay! You both have the same taste" said Mrs. Gao and left.
"Lie, since when are you coming here?" she asked.
"Mrs. Gao is my mom's friend. I used to come here with my mother" he said.
Adding further to it, he said,
"We were not rich back then. One day my mother had an argument with my father, he was drunk, and threw us out of the house. It was nighttime, I was very hungry, but we had no money. That time aunt took us to her restaurant".
"Then..." she wanted to hear him.
"I was very choosy as a child. I liked to eat anything my mother cooked for me but wouldn't eat anything cooked by anybody else. So, then my mom and aunt Mrs. Gao cooked some dishes together. Since then, I only eat that same dish" he said.
"So, that's why you like to come here..." she said.
"Whenever I eat those dishes, it feels the same taste as my mom made it. I feel full and comforted then. I miss her a lot..." tears rolled down his eyes.
Seeing him like that, she immediately took his hand in her hand, and wiped of his tears with other hand. He looked towards her and got back to normal.
Mrs. Gao came there and served the dishes. They had dinner, talked for a while, and then left. He dropped her home and left.
In the morning, Mingmei got ready and left for the office. She didn't saw Zhang Wei today.
"Where's boss?" she asked.
"Oh, boss hasn't come yet," said Yaya.
"It's the first time, boss is late," said Mingmei.
"That's right. I haven't seen him late either," said Yaya.
"Anyways, let's just continue with our work," said Mingmei.
Zhang Wei came there, didn't say anything, and went straight to his office. Mingmei noticed that he seemed little weird, so she went to his office and knocked the door.
"May I come in boss?" she asked.
"Hm, come in" he said.
She came in. He didn't say anything.

"Boss is everything alright?" she asked.
"About?" he asked.

It was evening time; Mingmei was typing on laptop.
Jack was about to leave for hospital for the surgery. Emily accompanied him to the hospital. They were in the car. Emily was so nervous about the whole situation.
"Emily, don't worry, it's just a surgery" he said.
"I know, but it's still a surgery." she said.
"Everything will be just fine. Doctors have examined my condition, and they said it'll be just fine" he said.
"hm... I trust you... I just want you to be safe and all fine as soon as possible" she said.
They came at the hospital. Everything was ready for him. Before going, he hugged Emily and kissed her on forehead. Emily was full oftears, and she embraced him tightly.
"I love you... take care of yourself... bye" she said.
"I love you too. Don't worry, I'll be back soon" he said.
And he went to the operating theatre. Emily was sitting there outside. Surgery began.
Emily was sitting and waiting for the surgery to finish safely. Two hours passed and finallythe surgery was done, doctor came out, and told her it was successful. She was overjoyed after hearing thosewords and was very eager to see him.
