Next day, Yifeng came to Mingmei's house.
"So, what do you have on your mind?" he asked.
"I think of having a signing event of my recent book.Haven't you said the publishers asked you the other day" she said.
"That's great. That would be your first public
appearance" he said.
"I guess so too... just hope everything goes well" she said.
"Finally, you've become courageous enough... indeed you are in love!" he said.
"Stop with those words! Although I know Lie is not on good terms with his father, he still is his son, so, I must try my best" she said.

Yifeng left. Mingmei was about to sleep when she remembered about her book. In all these past days, she forgot to update the further story.
Jack was discharged from the hospital. Emily took full care of him.
"Jack, be careful. You're not fully recovered yet" she said.

Recently, Jack had been planning to surprise Emily and so it was ready too. It was Emily's birthday today, and Jack decided to throw a party. All their close friends and family were invited. It was a great setup, with music playing, people greeting. Emily was looking for Jack everywhere. Suddenly, the music
stops, and a big screen appears from the dark, playing Emily's and Jack's pictures with his voice in the background.
"Emily, happy birthday to you. There's something I want you to know. I was a lonely
person, having nothing in my life, except my passion for work. I had no interest in knowing what's even going on in the world. Every morning to night, the routine was same, and nothing changed. Until you, Emily, came in my life. Things changed, the world around me seemed more and more interesting, mornings were never the same now, so were the evenings... having you in my life makes me the happiest person, makes me wanna protect you more, take care of you and love
you even more and more."
Emily was watching all this standing there, smiling with eyes full of tears.
"Emily..." Jack said.
She turned behind, Jack started to walk forward to her. He stood right in front of her
looking in her eyes, slowing he went on in his knees and took out a beautiful ring in his hands, holding in front of her. Emily was standing there all surprised.
"Emily, I want to love you, take care of you, protect you for the rests of our lives. I promise to be by your side always, no matter what. Will you marry me?" said Jack.
Everyone there was shocked, and also happy for them.
"Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!" Everyone was shouting.
Tears were rolling down Emily's eyes.
"Yes, let's get married" she said.
Jack put the ring in her finger, stood and hugged her with excitement. Everyone was
clapping and cheering for them. Emily's birthday cake was cut, and the night ended in celebration.

She was curious for the coming time when her identity is no longer a secret. Meanwhile, she scrolled through some more comments and went to sleep.
While she was working in office, Yifeng called her.
"Meimei, be ready! it's done, Sunday!" he said.
"Sunday!?" she was loud.
Everyone looked at her for a moment. She apologized and went low on the table.
"Sunday...! that's soon" she said.
"Yes, it is. But isn't it good... I mean, we also have enough time" he said.
"Ok, I get it. No problem" she said.
"Fine, talk to you tonight" she said.
"I'll get back to work too, bye" she hung up.
Now she was nervous, everyone was about to know, and that includes Wang Lie too. But she was also having a second thought about what if Wang Lie, don't know Starbird already.
Five days passed, and the next day was Sunday. Everything was set and ready except for Mingmei. She was nervous, distracted
and on news online! Her fans were eager to meet her.
Finally, it was Sunday. The event was in afternoon. She was on leave from office. She got dressed up in a simple cream-colored
dress, less makeup, but completely natural, elegant, and pretty. Yifeng came to pick her up.
"You look nice Meimei" he said.

At the venue, it was quite crowded. She arrived there. Organizers came forward to greet her. Firstly, no one knew it was her, but then everyone turned towards her. Everyone was clapping and cheering for her. There
were reporters too. She felt special and by now so confident. Soon the reporters noticed she was Wang Lie's girlfriend. Now it was more of a topic.
"Ms. Zheng, how come you are alone?" one reporter asked.
"Ms. Zheng is Wang Lie going to show up later?" another reporter asked.
"Sorry, but no personal questions please. It's a different event" Yifeng answered on her behalf.
The event started. She was meeting her fans one by one, and talking to them, taking pictures with them.
"Starbird, you look so pretty. I like all your
writings. Especially, the recent one" one of her fans said.
"Thank you so much, keep supporting my work," said Mingmei.
"Can I have a picture with you? I'm a huge fan of yours" a girl asked.
"Sure...," said Mingmei.
"Thank you" fangirl said.
"Can I have your autograph please?" someone asked.
"Sure..." she saw up and she was shocked.
It was Wang Lie. Wearing a cap and mask, and hoodie to hide himself.
"What are you doing here!?" she asked.
"I'm a fan and came to meet my idol in person" he said.
She was quite shocked.
"You know me? How?" she asked.
"See for yourself. I was first every time" he said.
She was confused. And suddenly remembered,
"Wish me love?" she asked.
He smiled, removed his mask, pulled her close and kissed her. Everyone was shocked to see him there and the moment too.
All her fans started cheering for Mingmei and Lie. She was shy but happy. He was waiting for her, after the event was over, they left
together. While in car, Mingmei was still in shock. She couldn't figure out how things turned in this way! She looked at Lie and asked,
"How long have you known this?"
"Since the first time we met! I guess that was fate, rather than coincidence" he smiled.
"Or so you say..." she mumbled.
"Ah?" he asked.
"Nothing, why haven't you said anything then...?" she asked.
"Say, like what! I'm your fan, I like your imaginations, writings, and everything else..." he said.
"That's not what I mean! I'm just curious, why did you hide it?" she said.
"For the same reason you choose to hide it...
sometimes, you don't have to reveal all things like that, you must wait for the person to be ready to talk and hear" he said.

They arrived at her home.
"Go and have rest now. I'm sure days will be longer now..." he said.

He kissed on her forehead. She got out of car and left.
