Chapter 201 - Chapter 200: Enter the Trap

"Sollus has appeared! Everyone, evacuate!" The moment Peter felt that familiar oppressive presence, he immediately used telepathy to notify everyone he had brought along.

One after another, Spider-People across the city vanished, leaving this world behind.

Even the Armored Spider-Man, who had been fighting Namura while observing the battle nearby, was teleported away as well.

In no time, Peter became the only Spider-Totem left in this universe.

His presence now shone like a beacon in the dark, standing out more than ever.

Morlun, sensing his father's arrival, instantly felt a surge of confidence.

"Kehehehe—Spider, this is your end!" Morlun sneered, launching a flurry of rapid attacks at Peter, attempting to hold him down until Sollus arrived to finish the job.

Peter scoffed, "Kehehehe? What even are you? That's a weird laugh. We usually go with 'hahaha.' So, are all the Inheritors just brainless idiots?"

"You're the idiot!" Morlun roared, smashing his fist into a nearby building, ripping off a massive wall—over ten meters long—and hurling it straight at Peter.

Peter crossed his arms in front of him, bracing for impact as the wall slammed him downward.

Yet, even while midair, he casually waved at Morlun. "Bye-bye, dumbass."

The next moment, a portal appeared behind him, instantly whisking him away from this universe.

"This—" Morlun was stunned.

One second, he had been focused on stalling Peter, planning to capture and torture him once his father arrived. The next, Peter was simply gone.

"No… the portal!"

Morlun's sharp eyes caught the portal rapidly closing. Judging by its speed and his current distance, he could still make it in time!

Without hesitation, he tossed the massive wall aside and shot forward at full speed.

By now, Peter's escape portal had shrunk to the size of a human head.

Morlun thrust both hands forward, shoving them inside.

He forcibly pried the portal open, halting its collapse with sheer strength!

"Weaver! Lock onto the universe on the other side!" Morlun growled, gritting his teeth as he held the portal open.

"Yes, Lord Morlun," the Master Weaver's cryptic voice responded.

A large, furry hand suddenly reached in from the side, pressing into the portal.

Then, another massive hand followed, gripping the edges.

RIIIIIP!

With a single, forceful pull, the hands tore open a massive rift in space, unleashing a chaotic storm of spatial energy.

Yet, what could instantly obliterate an ordinary being was nothing more than a passing breeze to them.

The newcomer—none other than Sollus!

"Where are Daemos and Verna?" Sollus asked.

"They were taken by that Spider! They should be in the world beyond this portal!" Morlun answered swiftly.

Sollus' expression turned grim. "Good… good… very good! Since that's the case, let them understand what it truly means to face the Inheritors!"

With that, he clenched his fist and struck forward.

The very fabric of reality shattered.

A colossal rift tore through space, stretching from his hand all the way into the sky.

Sollus had just punched open a passage between two parallel universes!

Stepping through with absolute confidence, he immediately sensed countless "meals" awaiting him.

"Heh. So, this is your second base, then?" Sollus swept his gaze across the surroundings, spotting Spider-People stationed in various positions, each prepared for battle.

He himself had landed in the middle of a massive metallic structure resembling a satellite dish.

Behind him, Morlun followed, equally confident.

"Spider! Come out and face your death!"

Peter's figure hovered high in the sky, looking down at the father and son below. He laughed and said, "Solus, Morlun, do you know there's a saying in our Eastern military strategy: 'Never chase a desperate enemy'?"

"What does that mean?" Solus asked in confusion.

Peter didn't explain. Instead, he snapped his fingers and commanded, "Action!"

Boom!

A beam of light shot down from the sky at high speed.

Solus's expression changed—he could feel the threat emanating from that beam!

In the next instant, the beam struck him, pinning him firmly in place, rendering him unable to move!

On the other side of the beam, the figure of Cosmic Spider-Man emerged.

His mission was to suppress Solus and prevent him from leaving this place.

At first, Peter was a little worried that Cosmic Spider-Man might not be able to hold Solus down, so he specifically arranged for British Spider-Man to provide backup.

But now, it seemed that his concerns were unnecessary.

As long as Cosmic Spider-Man didn't recklessly engage Solus in close combat, keeping him restrained was effortless.

After all, this was the Earth-13 universe—Cosmic Spider-Man's home turf!

Here, he could unleash the full power of a peak-level, universe-tier being!

While Solus was being held off by Cosmic Spider-Man, Morlun faced an onslaught from Peter and British Spider-Man.

Even dealing with either one of them alone was difficult for Morlun, let alone facing both at once.

In just a few exchanges, he was captured.

"Captain, I'll leave this to you," Peter said after thoroughly subduing Morlun once more. He tossed him aside and turned to British Spider-Man.

British Spider-Man nodded. "Don't worry. If anything goes wrong, I'll activate Plan B immediately."

Peter nodded in return, gathered several other Spider-People, and stepped through a portal.

On the other side of the portal lay the Earth-803 universe.

This was where the Inheritors' cloning facility was located.

Earlier, Peter had sent Spider-Punk, Gwen, Shadow-Spider, and several other stealth-oriented Spider-People into this universe to find a way to destroy the cloning apparatus.

At first, the plan was going well.

But then, things went awry.

Not only were their movements exposed, attracting an ambush from Jennix's forces, but several Spider-People were also wounded or killed.

At that moment, restraining Solus was the top priority, and no one else had the capacity to intervene.

However, the situation started to turn around once Peter arrived with reinforcements.

The Inheritors had never expected the Spider-People to launch an assault on a universe under their control. In Earth-803, aside from the clone guards, the only Inheritor present was Jennix.

After nearly an hour of intense battle, Peter broke through the defenses and defeated Jennix head-on, while the other Spider-People kept the clone guards at bay.

Soon after, the cloning facility was completely destroyed!

The Inheritors' very foundation was wiped out.

This meant that the Inheritors could no longer resurrect!

The war between the Spider Totems and the Inheritor family was finally reaching its final chapter!

Peter took one last look at this desolate world, drained of all life after being occupied by the Inheritors for so long, then turned and stepped back through the portal, returning to Earth-13.
