She pressed the "Accept" option with her hand. Instantly, a surge of immense energy coursed through her body, illuminating her in a dazzling pink spectrum. It was as if she had become a radiant beacon, her form glowing with an otherworldly brilliance. The process lasted about a minute and twenty seconds before her body returned to its normal state.
The hologram vanished, replaced by a screen that appeared in her mind. Bold, capitalized letters began to type themselves out:
CONGRATULATIONS, DR. ROSEMARY PARKER, FOR BECOMING THE FIRST HEALER SYSTEM.
Delvin could see what Dr. Rosemary Parker was experiencing in that moment.
"General Martins, could you come here, please?" Delvin requested. "Do you have a knife on you?"
As a military officer, General Martins was expected to carry one. He reached down to his right boot and retrieved a knife.
