Gregory was holding Eva that night while she stood in front of the window, staring into the busy city.
"I'm fine... really," Eva whispered.
"Then let me just hold you, can't I?" Jebspoke gently behind her.
Eva sighed, "Of course you can... Thank you," her voice was quiet.
"You're the only person who has ever truly loved me, Gregory, and I'll forever be thankful for that," She confessed.
"I was scared you wouldn't want me anymore after hearing what I said to my mother earlier today," Eva's voice was hoarse as if she was holding back her tears.
Gregory gently turned Eva around so she faced him, he placed a hand under her cheek and kissed her lips.
"Don't ever say that again, Eva... it means you really don't have trust in me, in our love. I'm leaving you, Eva, ever. I want you to know that I love you unconditionally, do you understand?" He asked softly.
Eva nodded, "I love you, Gregory," She hugged him, feeling safe with his arm around her.
