"What?"
Evelyn was at a loss, so Daemon elaborated, pointing out the source of his dissatisfaction:
"What do you mean by 'moved in with me'?"
Evelyn was taken aback, then she smiled:
"So, what should I have said?"
"You and I moved into our new house together. You didn't move in with me."
Evelyn was only now starting to get it.
"Oh?"
"I proposed to you after getting the house ready. This has never been my house. It has always been ours."
Faced with the serious but calm words, Evelyn felt nothing of the sweetness rushing up her chest. Her rippling eyes sent more warmth, more love than it seemed possible, and she sincerely apologized:
"Then, I'm sorry, it's my bad."
Then Evelyn lowered her voice, and her lips, continuing in a tone with a hint of soft sensuality:
"Since I'm wrong, can I tell you a secret?"
