Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

[Sirens wailing]

Black cars of various sizes and types sped along the highway, while military personnel, fully armed, blockaded the roads. Chaos erupted on this day, leaving many wondering why all this was happening. The reason was a chase of four teenagers.

News flashed on every visual platform, indicating that the teenagers were a group of dangerous terrorist fugitives. It was hard to believe that teenagers of their age could be labeled extremely dangerous, to the extent of being able to cause the highest military agents and personnel of the city to be mobilized.

In the city of Gaspé Peninsula, everyone rushed to their homes, heeding the government's strict warning. "Over there, get them!" a soldier in military clothing shouted, spotting the teenagers in an alley between two townhouses.

Marching footsteps raged the ground as fire flares shot out towards the sky to signal for backup. "Shit, that's not gonna happen," a beautiful girl with a bun hairstyle and almond eyes said, making a gripping pose towards the flare in the air, controlling the air around it. With a swift motion of her hand into a fist, the flare turned into a crushed piece of plastic.

The soldiers were stunned at the sight. They had received orders from their superiors that the teenagers had special traits, but they thought it might be a newly developed technology. Now, seeing it in person was a different story.

"Don't let them get away. Fire the tranquilizers," the soldier in command ordered. While the soldiers followed orders, their commander shot another flare into the sky.

The teenagers stopped in their tracks, ready to face off against their pursuers. "Shit, he shot another flare. Our cover is exposed," another girl with curly hair and similar features to the bun-haired girl said, sweating profusely.

"Claire, take care of the ones coming from the left. Rein, take on the front," the boy with spiky hair and blue eyes instructed, examining the area with vigilance.

"What about us, Klaus?" another boy with long hair and an earring inquired, looking flustered.

"I'll bust us into one of the rooms here. Cover me," Klaus replied, moving his hands to touch the two walls they were between.

Ryan, the long-haired boy, smiled as he wore his shades, though it was getting towards evening. This was necessary for him to get the exact target he wanted before using his powers.

Tranquilizers, specially made for piercing through bulletproof vests, shot out towards them. Rein, without hesitation, used her telekinetic powers to redirect the tranquilizers at the shooters, while Claire used her powers to maximize the frequency of sound waves traveling through the alley, stunning the soldiers and causing them to involuntarily drop their tranquilizers.

Unfortunately, backup arrived faster than they could have anticipated. "When will you be done? The backup has arrived, and I'm not sure what they might want to do at this moment," Rein asked, her breathing becoming fast.

A helicopter appeared in the sky, its light shining brightly upon them. "Give up resistance, or we'll be forced to take action," a loud voice transmitted around the area said.

"How much longer do you need?" Rein once again asked, her breathing becoming faster.

"All done, just need to distract them. Ryan, it's your turn," Klaus replied, panting and sweating.

Ryan, locking onto his targets, controlled the metals in the tranquilizer guns and those on the soldiers, ready to shoot them towards the sky to block their visions.

[Sniper clicks] From a distance of about 2,000 meters away, a person dressed in black and well-suited-up spied on the group with a scope from his sniper rifle. He had been waiting for the perfect moment to take action, but due to the chaos, he couldn't get a clear view of the target.

Now, seeing that the group was on standby and no one was willing to take the chance to move, this gave him the best opportunity. With that, he pulled the trigger against Rein, who proved to be the most hindrance.

[Splatter] Rein, who was ready to assist her brother, got shot in the chest by the sniper. The bullet, a special billet from the government's secret agency, could cause those shot by it to experience paralysis and enhanced blood loss.

Everyone was shocked, knowing how dangerous it could be if things got out of hand. The commander himself was at a loss, as he hadn't ordered the shot.

"No, no... There's a sniper," Claire panicked, while Ryan, who was ready to create an opportunity, was at a loss due to the sudden occurrence. Now, his eyes shone with madness.

The burning rage in him resulted in nearby metals converging near where they stood. "Don't, Ryan, you can't cower here just because of one bullet," Klaus said firmly, grabbing onto Ryan's shoulder, which was shiveringwith rage.

"We need to get Rein to safety, now!" Klaus shouted, his eyes scanning the area for any sign of the sniper.

Claire, still in shock, slowly came back to her senses and helped Klaus lift Rein's limp body.

As they moved, Ryan's eyes never left the surrounding area, his anger and frustration simmering just below the surface.

The sound of sirens and helicopters filled the air, and the commander's voice came over the loudspeaker once again.

"We have a sniper in the area. All units, be advised to exercise extreme caution."

Klaus and Claire managed to drag Rein to a nearby alleyway, where they laid her down on the ground.

Rein's eyes flickered open, and she weakly smiled at Klaus.

"I'm...sorry," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Klaus's eyes welled up with tears as he held Rein's hand.

"No, Rein, don't say that. You're going to be okay," he said, trying to keep his voice steady.

But Rein's eyes had already closed, and her body went limp.

Klaus's world went dark as he held his sister's lifeless body in his arms.

Ryan's anger boiled over, and he let out a fierce roar.

The metals around him began to swirl and converge, forming a massive vortex that lifted Ryan off the ground.

The commander's voice came over the loudspeaker once again.

"We have a situation here. The suspect is using some kind of telekinetic power. We need to sedate him immediately."

But it was too late.

Ryan's vortex had grown too powerful, and it began to lift the surrounding buildings and cars off the ground.

The city was on the brink of chaos, and it seemed that nothing could stop Ryan's rage.
