This morning, I received a phone call from Chris, my attorney friend, who informed me that he was back at work. He instructed me to stop by his office to collect the divorce papers that required signatures from both parties. Understanding the urgency of the situation, I quickly left my house, made my way to the parking lot, entered my Mercedes Benz, and drove to his office.
Upon my arrival, I found Chris waiting for me, as he was preparing to leave for a court appearance on behalf of another client. He promptly handed me the documents and informed me that he was running late, suggesting we reconnect at a later time. After taking the papers, I exited his office and immediately called Allison, who mentioned she was at home.
"Are you not going to work today?" I inquired.
"Apologies, I forgot to mention that I am on a three-day leave. Where are you?" she responded.
"I have just left Chris's office; he has provided me with the divorce documents, which require your signature as well as your husband's."
"Darling, I have a suggestion," Allison said. "Since you're not working today, could we spend the night together away from home?"
"What's your plan?" I asked.
"I would like us to discuss the divorce and how you intend to proceed with your husband—if that works for you."
"That sounds fine. I will speak with my mother and then text you back in a few minutes." With that, we concluded the call.
Shortly after, I received a message from Allison confirming our plans. She suggested that we depart around six o'clock in the evening, indicating she would inform her husband that she was working a night shift, allowing him to drop her off at the hospital. Upon returning home, I informed my father that I would not be available that night.
Time passed quickly, and around 4 PM, Louis left his father's room to return to his own, where he took a shower and prepared for the evening ahead. At exactly 5 PM, he departed from the house and headed directly to the hospital for his meeting with Allison. Approximately at 6 PM, Louis observed Allison arriving at the hospital gate, escorted by her husband.
After sharing a brief embrace, they entered Louis's car and drove to the hotel where they would be spending the night. Upon arrival, they were greeted at the reception. After completing the check-in process, they were directed to their designated room. They unloaded their luggage before returning to the hotel's dining area for dinner.
Following the conclusion of their meal, they returned to their room, changed into the white robes provided by the hotel management, and began discussing how they would present the necessary documents to Chuck the following morning. Louis suggested a more extreme approach, contemplating the idea of abducting Chuck and causing him physical harm. Allison nodded in agreement, and they both settled in to continue their planning.
In the middle of the night, Yvonne called her daughter, urging her to consider divorcing her inadequate husband. However, due to the late hour, Allison felt unable to engage in that discussion with her mother. She decided to end the call and returned to sleep.
In the morning, they both awoke, shared a kiss, and proceeded downstairs for breakfast. Following their meal, they attended a yoga session at the hotel before returning to their room to prepare for the day ahead.
Once they were ready, Louis presented the documents to Allison. She reviewed them carefully, then took a pen and affixed her signature. This completed her part of the process; now, all that remained was for Chuck to sign, which would finalize matters. Louis then retrieved his phone and made a call, providing the individual on the other end with all pertinent details regarding Chuck, including a photo sent via WhatsApp.
After everything was in order, they exited the room and made their way downstairs. At the reception, they finalized the checkout process before getting into their car and driving away. As they neared the hospital, Allison attempted to contact Chuck, instructing him to pick her up. However, Chuck failed to arrive, prompting Louis to take her home instead.
Upon arriving at the gate, Allison exited the vehicle and walked directly to her house, leaving Louis outside to converse with the individual responsible for the planned abduction of Chuck. Shortly thereafter, he joined Allison inside and observed Chuck signing the documents before being ushered out. Louis then sent a text to the men, providing directions on Chuck's whereabouts, leading to the eventual kidnapping of Chuck.
