The entire training ground was dead silent.
Students who had been practicing earlier were now frozen in place, their gazes darting between Lake and Sylph. Some were whispering in hushed tones, but despite their attempts to keep quiet, their words reached Lake's ears with painful clarity.
"Did she just say she loves him?"
"So the rumors were true."
"There's no way, right?"
"But she said it so openly!"
"This is big news!"
"Does this mean Lake is going to be the first human to marry into a foreign race?"
Lake closed his eyes and started massaging his temple.
His head had already started to hurt.
Opening his eyes again, he found himself staring at Sylph, who remained completely unbothered by the chaos she had just unleashed.
She gazed up at him with big, round eyes, the very picture of innocence.
But to Lake, she looked no different from a natural disaster.
Just as he was about to speak, a gust of wind rushed past him.
