Finding myself back in the room, I didn't know what to do. I was standing at the exact same spot I was a year ago… talking on the phone.
**"It's 20:30?"**
A year and a half over there… was just one and a half hours here?
I sat down on the bed, staring blankly at my phone screen, memories flooding in. My thoughts spiraled, a storm of questions piling up.
_Did we really lose the capital? Did Ramon and the others defeat the Demon Lord? What happened to the Prince and Princess after King Leontius…?_
_Did I even really die?_
Coming back to Earth… I guess I should be grateful. That's what I wanted, right?
But not like this.
Not by leaving everything behind like it never happened.
**"Goddess Glyss..."**
It has to be her. The only one with the power to bring me back. The one who promised me I could return back in first place.
_Crash!_
In pure rage, I hurled my phone to the ground.
**"What's with the noise? I'm trying to study here!"**
The door creaked open to reveal a voice I hadn't heard in what felt like forever.
**Lily Westberg.**
My little sister.
I glanced at her. It was really her—but I wasn't even in the mood for a hug.
**"I'm trying to study for my exams! Don't make noise, brother!"** she said, walking into the room.
She paused, her eyes shifting to the phone broken and shattered on the floor, then to me… still wearing the suit.
**"What happened?"** she asked, concern flickering in her voice.
**"Nothing. Just dropped my phone,"** I muttered.
She sighed and stepped closer.
**"Did something happen? Weren't you going to that wedding with Mom and Dad? I thought you already left!"**
I stayed silent. The anger in my eyes said more than I could.
She tilted her head.
**"Did you have a fight with someone… or do you have a fever?"**
She placed her hand on my forehead.
**"Doesn't seem like it."**
She looked at me for another moment before speaking.
**"Mom and Dad should be back in a few minutes. It's already been two hours."**
She turned to leave. **"At least tell them if something's wrong. I'm going back to my room. Call me if you need anything."**
With that, Lily walked out.
_Lily... huh?_
I wondered…
**Would that Lily get mad too, if she heard I broke my promise?**
