Chapter 1 - Crownless

For two centuries, peace reigned.Heaven, Earth, and Hell—once eternal enemies—had formed an unlikely alliance. Borders were opened, knowledge was exchanged, and conflict faded into memory.

But peace is a fragile thing.

The sky above Hell was always red, painted by the endless firestorms swirling beyond its clouds. But for 200 years, even that crimson sky had seemed calm.

Until they returned.

Ib'klis.

A name forgotten by time, whispered only in the oldest nightmares. They were not demons like the others—Ib'klis were born from the deepest floor of Hell, where light does not exist and the laws of the world bend and break. They did not serve the Hell King, nor had they ever acknowledged his rule. They were chaos given form. War given voice.

The Tenth Hell King had sealed them away long ago, using magic and willpower unimaginable. But now...

The seal was broken. And Hell trembled.

"Your Majesty!" a voice echoed through the obsidian halls.

A demon soldier burst into the war room, his armor cracked and scorched, one horn snapped at the tip. Despite his human-like skin, the faint red glow of infernal blood pulsed beneath the surface.

"The Queen... she's calling for you."

At the far end of the chamber stood a towering figure—the current Hell King. His red horns curved like blades. His beard, long and wild, trailed down past his chest. His back faced the soldier as he hovered over a war map etched with blood and runes.

"Elly? Now?" His voice rumbled like shifting mountains. "Damn it… my strategy for Ib'klis isn't ready."

"I can call for General Naxis in your place, but... My King, the Queen truly needs you."

For a second, the fire in his eyes dimmed. Then, without another word, he turned and ran.

Tears broke loose, gliding down his worn face and soaking into the wild bramble of his beard. His footsteps thundered through the halls as he rushed to the Queen's chamber.

The door slammed open.

And there she was.

Elly, his wife—the Queen of Hell. Her golden hair spilled across white pillows like sunlight in the darkness. Her horns, elegant and smooth, curved gently back. She wore a simple dress, soft and comforting, not suited for royalty but perfect for today.

In her arms, she held a small demon infant, wrapped in silk.

Two maids stood silently at her side.

"...Elly," the King whispered, his voice cracking with fear and love.

She looked up at him and smiled weakly.

"William... our son is here."

His breath caught.

"...Oh..."

The wise, battle-worn king vanished in an instant—replaced by a man, a husband, a father. His steps were slow at first, reverent, trembling. Then he rushed forward, dropping to his knees beside the bed, wrapping his arms around Elly as his eyes locked onto the tiny bundle in her arms.

Their child.

But then—her voice trembled.

"William... there's something wrong with our child."

His heart skipped."What? What happened?"

He leaned closer. And then he saw it.

The baby demon…No horns.Hair as white as snow.Eyes glowing a deep, ancient red.

He froze.

"No... no way."

"What is it, honey?"

His voice dropped to a whisper, but it carried the weight of destiny.

"He is... the True Hell King."

Elly's face went pale."...Isn't that just a myth?"

"It isn't."

Panic flared in his eyes as he stood suddenly."Quick—you need to hide the baby. Hide yourself."

"W-Why? Isn't this place safe from Ib'klis?"

William didn't respond immediately. He sat on the edge of the bed, staring at their child but didn't dare touch him, as though fate would crumble at his touch.

"...They're stronger than we know."

He clenched his fists.

"Please... have everyone evacuate to Earth. You need to go too. Let me handle this."

"But I can fight!" Elly protested, her voice cracking with desperation.

"OUR CHILD CAN'T!" he shouted, his voice shaking the room.

Elly flinched. Silence filled the space.

"...Please, Elly. For the glory of Hell... take care of our son."

Tears began to trail down her cheeks as the distant echoes of war drums began to thrum through the walls of the castle. The ground trembled.

A voice thundered through the skies above the citadel:

"HELL KING WILLIAM! I HAVE ARRIVED—AS PROMISED!"

From the burning horizon, a monstrous figure emerged.

A demon bathed in crimson flame, his horns like jagged blades, hair long and flowing like shadows, his armor crafted from the skulls of fallen demons. In his hand—a massive war axe, still dripping with blood.

"I COME BEARING GIFTS—THE SKULLS OF YOUR BROTHER AND SISTER!"

"No!!" William roared, his fist slamming into the stone floor, cracking it beneath him. His fury surged like a volcano, magic bursting from him in waves of black fire and lightning.

"AND AFTER I KILL YOU..." the demon grinned, fangs glinting."...I'LL ENJOY YOUR WIFE—BEFORE YOUR DEAD BODY."

The entire castle screamed as William unleashed his rage.

A roar, louder than the war drums.A power that cracked the sky.Flames engulfed his greatsword as he rose, eyes burning.

"YOU DARE—IB'KLIS SCUM?!"

And then, without hesitation, the Hell King charged into battle.

10 seconds before the scream—

"Elly," William said softly, brushing a strand of golden hair from her face. "I found a name for our son."

She looked at him, tired but glowing."Tell me, my love."

A faint smile crossed his lips. He reached behind him, summoning his greatsword with a low hum of magic. Its runes lit the room with a soft red glow.

"Daroi."

Elly blinked."...That's kinda bad, you know?"

He chuckled, shaking his head. "Maybe. But it feels right."Then, his smile faded as he turned toward the door.

He raised his hand, slicing through the air with his sword. A portal opened, swirling with blue flame.

"Miranda." His voice sharpened.

From the shadows stepped one of the royal maids, dressed in black and crimson, her expression stone-cold and loyal to the end.

"Take care of Elly. Live in the human world. Blend in. Do not—do not—reveal who she is, or who our son is."

Miranda nodded, bowing low."As your wish, my King."

A pulse of energy rippled through the castle.

Another maid rushed into the room."Your Majesty—General Crezz has opened the teleportation gates for evacuation. The civilians are fleeing to Earth. You can begin your assault."

William stepped through the portal, greatsword in hand, his voice a quiet storm."Good."
