"Today an alien invader who has been now identified as Loki threatened a mass of population…"
I looked at the flashing TV screen with my eyes narrowed.
"Sigh…" I let out a deep breath, the events of MCU were now on the rise. The incredible hulk had recently fought abomination and emerged victorious.
Now the events with Loki and his Chitauri army wreaking havoc on New York would start and the Avengers team would come into existence.
How do I know about this, one might ask?
Well, my name was Jake Timberling in my old life, a life I lived on Earth where the entire MCU was just fictional and now I live as Victor Kain —a nobody in the marvel universe.
I died to a car accident and then arrived in this world. At first, I was just glad I did not arrive in the comics version of the marvel or I would have been in a lot of trouble.
But slowly a little paranoia took root in my heart, Loki, Ultron and even the mad titan Thanos were coming. Was my survival guaranteed? Definitely no.
However, I was just a normal person, what could I even do? Nothing, just wait to die to the threats to come or trust the avengers to keep me safe. Both these options were not viable. I did not trust the Avengers, they may save the world but not each and every one of the inhabitants.
Then there was the shit with the multiverse, just thinking about these things caused by brain to hurt and my heart to wail in grief.
"I am not living for long." I turned off the TV as I sank back into my couch. Life was hard, especially in a fictional world.
I blankly stared into the ceiling of my small room unable to calm my anxious heart. Then suddenly, I heard a sound.
DING!
My heat trembled and my eyes widened as a small blue screen materialized before my eyes.
[Welcome to the superman template, please step into the sun to begin progression.]
"This is not a hallucination, right? I have a gift with me. Thank god! Thank GOD!" I repeatedly mumbled under my breath.
'But what can it do? Make me Superman?' I thought to myself and hurriedly got up to complete the only task given to me at the moment.
I briskly got out of my unremarkable one-bedroom apartment and walked outside straight into the noon sun.
As the sun light caressed my skin, I felt a strange sense of power emerge in each one of my body cells and with it the system also provided a notification.
