Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

What is this...? It hurts... It really hurts...

My head... it feels like it's being torn apart. Like someone's messing with my mind...

Who am I...?

Huh? What's that?

A sudden burst of bright light illuminates the dark room. The only thing visible after the light struck him—

A massive steel door, engraved with demonic patterns.

Suddenly, as he rose to his feet, his heart pounded violently. His mind went blank, and then—faint, flickering memories began to surface.

What is this...? Ah, that's right. I'm Danang. I'm 15 years old. I remember... I had a little sister. When I was eight and she was five, my grandmother took her on a plane... and my grandfather took me home. Then the next day... he vanished without a trace.

I live in a country called Indonesian. My parents disappeared when my sister was born... Ah, I remember now. I was a student at an international junior high school in Jakarta. After graduation, I went home to Banten... then somehow ended up in a dark room. And now, I'm here.

He stood up and walked toward the giant floating door in this white void.

He caught a glimpse of his reflection. He was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt under a gray knit vest, black pants, and simple white shoes—clearly a student.

His hair was black and styled like most teenagers, his skin pale but clean, though a bandage covered a wound on his cheek.

His eyes were clear, dark brown irises, with slightly narrow pupils that lacked any shine.

He stared blankly at his own reflection on the door and murmured,

"Ah... I guess I'm kind of handsome."

He chuckled at himself.

"...And this door... just who is it for? Judging by the carvings... is this the gate to hell? Haha... no way."

He laughed nervously.

As soon as Danang touched his own reflection on the door, a loud scraping noise echoed in front of him—

KREEK—

The massive steel door slowly creaked open, and a wave of scorching heat blasted against his face. He gasped.

Beyond the door… a white marble bridge stretched forward, railings on both sides, leading to another massive door—this time made of ancient, heavy wood. He stepped forward… and froze.

Danang looked down. Beneath the bridge—lava.

A sea of molten lava, lava waterfalls, and a burning crimson world. His legs trembled. He collapsed to his knees, his body weak, unable to speak.

"W-what... is this...?"

"Is this... hell...?"

With trembling legs, Danang stood. Curiosity nudged him forward, even though deep inside—he was terrified.

Meanwhile, on Earth—in Indonesia, Banten Province, Lebak Regency—

A towering structure stood, resembling the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but ten times taller and wider...

Stretching across the middle of a rice field, the site was immediately broadcast to the entire world. As thousands gathered around it, a message appeared near the tower:

"[No one can enter this place. The hero is inside.]"

People gasped in shock and began crowding around.

"What is that? A supernatural phenomenon?"

The area quickly became chaotic...

---

Elsewhere, Danang had seemingly crossed the bridge. A small cabin stood there, with the word "Shop" on it.

Danang ignored it, too curious about the ancient wooden door beyond it.

He opened the door—and instantly, the hot air vanished, replaced by a chilling cold.

Danang's skin prickled with goosebumps as he witnessed the scene—

A destroyed medieval city, flames consuming what remained of the old buildings.

Corpses littered the streets, the air was tainted, and the ground was soaked in blood...

KRAKK—

The wooden door behind Danang slammed shut. Panicking, he ran back toward it.

"H-hey... What is this!?"

Realizing the door wouldn't budge, Danang turned to face the ruined city once more.

W-what happened to this place...? It looks like... somewhere in medieval Europe...

Danang stepped forward hesitantly. His expression tightened, anxiety swirled in his chest. Then—he stumbled on something.

Looking down, he saw a severed, bloody human hand beneath his foot.

"Khaaaah!!!"

Danang collapsed, covering his mouth. For the first time, he was staring at a real dead body.

He began to tremble, nausea rising in his throat. Just as he was about to throw up—a monstrous creature appeared.

No, not just any monster—a massive three-headed dog, with exposed bones along its back and flames surrounding its body...

Its terrifying figure lunged—and bit Danang's head clean off.

But not long after—

Danang found himself back in front of the Shop he had seen earlier.

"Huh...? Was that... just a dream?"

His face turned pale, pain surged through his body—as if he really had been bitten.

This pain... is real!

A message popped up:

"[Congratulations! You have died. Killed by Cerberus in a rather foolish way.]"

Danang stared at the message, shocked by the realization—

He had just died.

"W-what!? Then why am I alive again!?"

"[You have been resurrected by the creator of this tower.]"
