Chapter 2 - Camelot full of Transmigrators

Artoria was awakened by a knock at the door.

"Your Majesty, there's news from outside the palace. It seems to be related to your elder sister."

This was followed by Gawain's respectful and cautious voice.

In the years since Alvin's death, the once sunny, golden-haired girl had gradually become silent and withdrawn.

It was Alvin who had pulled the girl out of the shadows, and now, with his passing, it seemed that the innocence and joy he had carefully wrapped around her and carried on his back, were also taken away.

The Knights of the Round Table were helpless, forced to watch as the King of Knights they respected transformed from a young girl into the emotionless King Arthur, consumed entirely by politics.

No... rather than King Arthur, it would be more accurate to call her the Lion King.

The people of the Camelot Empire said that their king's gaze was like that of a lion, full of majesty and danger.

"Come in."

A cold, calm voice came from inside the room.

Gawain slowly pushed open the door and saw Artoria or famous known as Altria Pendragon sitting at her desk.

After all, at this moment, she wore a crown, her golden, silky hair simply tied up, with strands falling casually onto her noble and beautiful face.

Compared to her youthful appearance of the past, her body now seemed more mature and alluring, resembling that of the 'Witch' Morgan le Fay.

"What about Morgan le Fay?"

Artoria flipped through the documents in her hand without looking up.

Gawain hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Today, the front lines reported sightings of a Silver Knight near the Plains of Cam. I was wondering if it might be related to your elder sister...?"

After Alvin's death, Morgan le Fay and Artoria had a fierce conflict. Following that, the 'Witch' took everything from her magical workshop and left Camelot Palace alone.

Since then, conflicts between the two had been frequent. In Artoria's eyes, if it weren't for Morgan le Fay, Alvin would never have died.

As for Morgan...well she was jealous that King Arthur had everything, yet had also taken away the person she loved.

In her quest to find a way to resurrect Alvin, Morgan le Fay had been conducting extremely dangerous experiments in secret over the years.

With a sore purpose

—Resurrecting the White Dragon.

But even if the dead were brought back to life, how could they ever truly be the same?

That bastard... He died so easily, but now he's left behind this mess... Gawain sighed inwardly.

*Tap, tap, tap...*

Artoria's fingertips lightly tapped on the desk, as if deep in thought.

After a while, she slowly shook her head and said. "Her real base shouldn't be there... I know her too well. With her personality, she wouldn't be so easily found by our people."

After a moment of consideration, she continued, "But send someone to check it out anyway... There might be some clues."

"The White dragon died that day in such a way. If he is truly resurrected by my sister's hand, then everything he did back then would be meaningless."

"Understood." Gawain bowed slightly and asked. "Who should I send?"

"Sir Lancelot isn't in the palace right now, so you will lead the team. Also, take Agravain with you. If there's any news about my sister, report to me immediately," Artoria instructed.

"Understood..."

As Gawain spoke, he suddenly remembered something and hesitated. "By the way, today we caught several people in the palace who claimed to be 'transmigrators.' I had them interrogated. Although they are residents of the capital, they have no memories of their past."

"Also... they all said they came from a place called the Clock Tower."

Artoria's expression remained as emotionless as ever as she spoke. "Investigate thoroughly. If the information is true... root out all the transmigrators."

"They are desecrating the dead."

Her words were filled with icy disdain.

Judging from the current situation, it seemed that every time a transmigrator appeared in the Camelot Empire, someone in the capital would die... because the transmigrators were directly possessing bodies through soul transfer.

Ever since that person's death, Artoria had become extremely sensitive to anything that desecrated death.

If these people truly were transmigrators...well, one could already imagine their fate.

Gawain felt a chill run down his spine and responded, "Understood!"

---

"From the looks at it, I must have transmigrated, but not completely, huh?"

After half an hour of trekking, Alvin arrived at a lake and looked down at his reflection in the water, quickly muttering to himself.

In the clear surface of the lake, the reflection showed a young man with a strikingly handsome and fair face.

His slightly messy hair added a touch of laziness, and his pitch-black eyes seemed to hold a deep, mysterious quality.

At first glance, he gave off a delicate yet enigmatic aura.

During his journey, Alvin had already pieced together his current situation.

He was currently in a place called the Plains of Cam, and it seemed this wasn't an ordinary transmigration, it was a physical transmigration.

The countdown, which had previously shown [42:59:58], had now jumped to [42:45:30].

What would happen when the countdown ended?

Alvin wasn't sure yet.

Well...it could be the end of the world, or perhaps something else entirely.

But for now, he needed to move to a new location fast.

After all, earlier, he had spotted a Silver Knight nearby!

The Silver Knight was one of Morgan le Fay's highest works of art.

If she saw him through the eyes of the Silver Knight...

After all, Alvin could be considered to have backstabbed Morgan le Fay right before his "death."

And the thing Morgan hated the most was betrayal.

Recalling the overly enchanting beauty of the witch and her demeanor when she turned dark, Alvin couldn't help but shiver.

In any case, he needed to get out of this cursed place first!

With that thought, he stood up and was about to leave.

"Let me go... Who are you people? Where is this?!"

At that moment, a young girl's panicked voice rang out from the distance.

Alvin instinctively looked up as his heart nearly stopped and he almost blurted out, "Holy crap, Morgan?!"

However, looking up he did not see the beauty he felt conflicted to see.

However he saw the similar one.

In the distance, a silver-haired girl with her hair disheveled was surrounded by a group of knights.

Her face was filled with fear, making her already delicate appearance seem even more pitiful.

Both her face and hair color were identical to that of the 'Witch.'

But after taking another deep look, Alvin quickly calmed down.

No, although she looked a lot like Morgan le Fay, her demeanor was completely different from that mature queen.

Most importantly, the girl in front of him had a very small heart!

"Gray...?"

After staring for a long time, a name immediately flashed through Alvin's mind, and he subconsciously muttered, "Why is she here?"

Gray, like Alvin, was a student at the Clock Tower and a direct disciple of Lord El-Melloi II.

'Could there be more transmigrators besides me...?'

Just as Alvin thought this, he saw a golden-haired gorilla... no, a rather burly golden-haired knight slowly walk up to Gray.

And the moment he saw him, Alvin's eyes narrowed almost immediately.

Is that... Gawain?
