Chapter 8 - LOCKED REMARKS

Violet was focused on her task, oblivious to the commotion around her, when Leo suddenly appeared beside her.

"What are you doing here?" Violet asked, her voice firm but controlled.

Leo smiled innocently. "Just shopping, like everyone else."

Violet raised an eyebrow. "This is the women's section, Leo. You could've gone to the men's section if you needed something."

Leo chuckled. "I didn't know that. Guess I got lost."

Violet's eyes narrowed. "What do you want, Leo?"

Leo's grin widened. "I was looking for you, actually."

Violet's voice dropped to a whisper. "What happened between us was a mistake, Leo. Just get that through your head and don't cause a scene here."

Leo's expression turned serious. "What happened between us?"

Violet's eyes flashed with annoyance. "Are you kidding me right now?"

Leo shrugged. "No, serious. What happened?"

Violet threw up her hands. "Never mind. It's pointless arguing with you."

Leo smirked, pushing his straw into his drink. Violet tried to focus on her task, but her mind kept drifting back to Leo.

Before she knew it, she was following him out of the store, her heart pounding in her chest.

As they walked, Violet hissed, "I already apologized for what happened the other day. Can you please stop stalking me?"

Leo turned around, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Who said I was stalking you? I was just having a conversation."

Violet's eyes rolled heavenward. "Save it, Leo."

Leo chuckled, clearly enjoying the banter. "You're so easy to rile up, Violet."

Violet's face grew hotter with frustration. "I'm not easy to rile up. I just don't want to deal with your drama."

Leo's grin widened. "Oh, come on. You know you love it."

Violet's eyes narrowed. "I don't love it. I hate it."

Leo chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Sure you do, Violet. Sure you do."

As they stood there, Violet felt her frustration grow, while Leo seemed to be enjoying the exchange.

Leo pulled closer, his eyes locked on Violet's. She felt a flutter in her chest, but quickly pushed it aside.

"Stop that nonsense," Violet hissed, her voice low. "Don't you know you're Snow's boyfriend?"

Leo's grin faltered for a moment, but he quickly recovered. "I know exactly who I am," he whispered, his breath tickling Violette's ear.

Violet pushed him away, her heart racing. "Listen here, Leo. We can't do this. You are one of my best friend's boyfriend and I'm Oliver's girlfriend, even if we are on a break."

Leo's eyes sparkled with amusement. "I'm not doing anything, Violet," he whispered, his lips inches from hers.

And then, in a move that caught Violet completely off guard, Leo kissed her.

Violet's eyes widened in shock, but she didn't pull away. Not immediately, anyway.

"Leo, we are in public," Violet whispered, her voice trembling.

Leo's eyes glinted with mischief. "If we're in public, then don't shout," he whispered, before turning and walking away.

Violet watched him go, her heart pounding in her chest. She took a deep breath, gathered her things, and walked in the opposite direction.

But what she didn't know was that Snow had seen the entire exchange. Snow's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities.

Snow smirked to herself as she walked away from the scene with Violette and Leo. She had seen the entire exchange, and she couldn't wait to stir up some trouble.

She spotted Oliver working on the road and decided to pay him a visit. As she approached him, she said, "Well, well, well. Look what we have here. The great Oliver, slaving away."

Oliver looked up, annoyed. "What are you doing here, Snow? Can't you see I'm busy?"

Snow shrugged. "I was bored, and I needed to annoy someone. You're the only one I can tolerate."

Oliver sighed. "Listen here, Snowflake. I'm not in the mood for your arguments or your stupidity. I'm running late for class."

Snow raised an eyebrow. "Do you really need that class? I thought you just wanted to surf."

Oliver's expression turned stern. "I told you before, Snow. I don't have time for this argument."

He pushed Snow aside and started walking towards his class.

He thought she went back and settled down at the back listening to the lecturer.

A disruption to the teachings came by with a voice.

Snow followed him, but instead of using the back door, she walked in through the front entrance.

As she entered the classroom, the lecturer stopped teaching and looked at her. "Excuse me, can I come in?" Snow asked, smiling sweetly.

The lecturer looked confused. "Uh, yes. Please, come in."

Snow walked in, her heels clicking on the floor. "I'm here for Oliver, I'm his girlfriend. That guy at the behind sit."

The classroom erupted in whispers and gasps. Oliver's face turned bright red with embarrassment.

Snow smiled majestically as she walked towards Oliver. She sat down beside him, and the classroom fell silent and whispers.

🗣️ Snow's new boyfriend is Oliver

🗣️They are dating

🗣️They look good together

🗣️I hope this time she doesn't prove she is really a b!tch and change him soon.

🗣️ They would soon breakup.

🗣️I guess this one is another pawn in her quest for attention from people.

Oliver whispered to her, "What the hell are you doing here?"

Snow smiled at him. "I told you, I was bored."

She faced the lecturer, who looked flustered. "Please, continue teaching. I'm fascinated."

The lecturer cleared his throat and continued teaching, but the classroom was no longer focused on the lesson. All eyes were on Snow and Oliver.

One of the students whispered, "Is that really Oliver's girlfriend?"

Another student replied, "I heard they're having some major drama."

Snow overheard the whispers and smiled to herself. She loved being the center of attention.

Oliver, on the other hand, looked like he was about to explode. "Snow, can I talk to you outside for a minute?" he whispered.

Snow smiled sweetly. "Oh, no, darling. I'm fascinated by the lesson. Please, do go on."

The lecturer looked relieved and continued teaching, but Oliver's frustration was palpable.

Soon the class was over and anyone who noticed could see that Snow only kept on staring at Oliver to distract and make him complain.

Oliver dragged Snow out of the class, down the stairs.

Snow, trying to maintain a facade, kept her hand on Oliver's shoulder. "Oh, please stop. You're being way excited."

She waved at people passing by. "Hi, hi!"

Oliver looked at her with a mixture of annoyance and embarrassment.

When they finally exited the class, Oliver pushed Snow in front of him.

"What's your problem, Snow?" Oliver asked, his voice low and irritated.

Snow turned around, a hint of a smile on her face. "My problem? You ignored me when I told you I was bored. Who does that?"

Oliver's expression turned angrier. "Why wouldn't I ignore you? You're always causing trouble."

Snow chuckled, her eyes glinting. "Oh, Oliver. You're so easy to get under your skin."

Oliver's voice rose. "I'm not easy to get under my skin. You're just really good at pushing people's buttons."

Snow shrugged, her smile unwavering. "Maybe a little. But you have to admit, it's fun watching you get all riled up."

Oliver's face reddened. "It's not fun. It's annoying."

Snow leaned in, her voice taking on a teasing tone. "Oh, come on Oliver. Don't be such a grump."

Oliver's eyes flashed, and he took a step closer to Snow. "You're pushing your luck, Snow."

Snow's smile never wavered. "I'm just getting started."

Oliver's voice dropped to a whisper. "You know, Snow, sometimes I wonder how I got stuck with you."

Snow's eyes sparkled. "Oh, Oliver. You know exactly why we're stuck together. We're both stuck in this boring class, and we need something to make it interesting."

Oliver quickly interrupted her. "It wasn't your class anyways."

"But everyone loved me there." She kept her eyes fixed and smiling always at him.

Oliver's expression twisted. "You're not making it interesting. You're making it infuriating."

Snow's smile grew wider. "That's what makes life interesting, don't you think?"

Oliver's eyes narrowed. "You're enjoying this, aren't you? You're enjoying the fact that you can get under my skin."

Snow's voice dropped to a whisper. "Maybe a little."

Oliver's face was inches from Snow's. "You're going to pay for this, Snow."

Snow's eyes glinted. "I'm shaking in my boots."

The air was electric with tension as Oliver's eyes locked onto Snow's. For a moment, it seemed like the world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, locked in a battle of wills.

Snow's smile never wavered, but Oliver could see the faintest glimmer of uncertainty in her eyes. For a moment, he thought he had her right where he wanted her.

But then Snow's smile grew wider, and she leaned in closer to Oliver. "You know, Oliver," she whispered, "I think you're starting to enjoy this little game we're playing."

Oliver's eyes flashed, and he took a step back, his face reddening. "I am not enjoying this," he growled.

Snow's laughter echoed through the hallway, and Oliver's eyes narrowed. This was far from over.

~GIRLS SUITE- 2:00 PM

Snow walked into her room, changed into a comfortable outfit, and found Minnie sitting on the couch.

"Hey, you have a guest," Minnie said, nodding toward the door.

Snow's eyes narrowed. "Who is it?"

Minnie stepped aside, revealing Snow's mom standing in the doorway.

Snow's expression turned guarded. "Mom...what are you doing here?"

Her mom forced a warm smile. "Hey, sweetie! I was thinking we could catch up. I feel like we haven't talked in ages."

Snow raised an eyebrow. "We live together, Mom. We see each other all the time."

Her mom chuckled. "I know, I know...but it's not the same. We always seem to be rushing around, getting ready for work or school. I feel like we never have any quality time together."

Snow's eyes searched her mom's face, looking for any sign of sincerity. "Quality time? You mean like when you're not busy getting married and divorced?"

Her mom's smile faltered, and she looked away, her voice barely above a whisper. "Snow, I know I haven't been the most stable influence in your life. But I'm trying to do better."

Snow's expression softened slightly, but she still looked wary. "Trying? You've been trying for years, Mom. But it's always the same pattern. You get married, you get divorced, you get married again...it's exhausting."

Her mom nodded slowly, her eyes filled with tears. "I know, sweetie. And I'm sorry. I really am. But I want you to know that I'm committed to changing. I want to be a better mom to you."

Snow's eyes dropped, and she looked away, trying to process her emotions. She had always felt like her mom's personal life was a revolving door, with her stuck in the middle.

"I would appreciate right now if you leave and never come here again," Snow said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't want you here nor anywhere other than home."

Her mom nodded again, a small smile on her face. "I understand, sweetie. This is something I really didn't come here for us to talk about ."

Snow's expression softened slightly, and she looked up at her mom. "I want that too, Mom. How about you leave, okay?"

Her mom nodded, her eyes shining with tears. "Okay. i would go but always reach out whenever anything feels wrong okay?"

After Snow's mom left, Minnie approached Snow, looking concerned. "Don't you think you were a bit too harsh on your mom?" Minnie asked gently.

Snow rolled her eyes. "Please, Minnie. I think I was too easy on her. That woman deserves so much worse."

Minnie sighed. "I know it's been tough, Snow. Your mom's been married and divorced multiple times, leaving you and your dad behind. But she's trying to change, Snow. She's really trying."

Snow snorted. "Trying? She's been trying for years, Minnie. And it's always the same pattern. She gets married, gets divorced, and expects me to be okay with it."

Minnie placed a hand on Snow's shoulder. "I know it's hard to forgive her, Snow. But maybe it's time to try."

Snow shook her head, her eyes flashing. "You don't get it, Minnie. You don't know what it's like to have a mom like mine."

Minnie's expression turned sympathetic. "I may not know exactly what you're going through, Snow. But I do know that holding onto anger and resentment isn't healthy. Maybe it's time to try to forgive your mom and move on."
