Time seems to stand still as Adnan practices calligraphy with Shizuka at the temple. Shizuka's movements are soft and guiding; Adnan's hands shake at first, but his patient smile makes everything easier. When Adnan says, "There's no such thing in Turkey," Shizuka asks curiously. The conversation continues in English. At the end of the event, they decide to have tea. They make eye contact while sitting across from each other in a small teahouse. Their conversations are slow but sincere… Shizuka finds Adnan's Turkish pronunciation interesting. Adnan admires Shizuka's simplicity. As they leave, Shizuka asks, "Would you like to see me again?" Adnan's face lights up.
