Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The Light of the Heart

Three months had passed since we first welcomed the new families. In that time, every member of our family had awakened their powers. None were as overwhelming as my father's or mother's, but all of them showed incredible potential. Without a doubt, our blood held something special.

The people in the community didn't know yet. I had overheard whispers—how strange our lifestyle seemed, our intense routines, the daily training. They said we looked like we were preparing for war. But they didn't give it much thought… until things started to change.

Little by little, some of them began to awaken too.One day, the community's representatives came to my father. They were nervous, visibly unsettled. They said something strange was happening:

—Some farmers had light coming out of their hands, speeding up crop growth.—Some carpenters had become abnormally strong overnight.—Children were starting to control fire… or wind.

Rodrigo listened quietly. Then, without a word, he released his light power. A warm aura filled the space, soothing everyone around him.

—Please, sit down —he invited.

Roxana, my maternal grandmother, brought them tea. She had awakened a unique power: the ability to transmit emotions through objects or food. This time, she infused the tea with calm and openness.

As they drank it, my father began to speak about the apocalypse. What was coming. And then, Grandma Berny used her power of future vision to show them fragments of the fate that awaited.Images of chaos, destruction… but also of resistance. Of hope.

Thanks to Roxana's calming energy and Diego's words, the workers slowly began to accept the truth. They realized they were, unknowingly, in the right place at the right time. But even so, the fear remained.

—What can we do to keep our families safe? —someone asked.

That's when Diego stepped forward.—You're already doing it —he said—. Living here. Training… But this is just the beginning.

One person raised their hand.—Can I bring my brother? He lives in the south.

Others followed with similar questions.

Diego paused, then nodded.

—Yes… but under one condition.

Just then, Patricio, my maternal grandfather, entered. He had awakened a rare ability: he could see into a person's heart.

He placed a hand on one of the men. A soft glow emerged from the man's chest.

Everyone fell silent.

—Anyone you wish to bring must shine like this —Diego said—. If they don't… they could be a danger to us all.

In that moment, the community understood:They were no longer just guests.

They were now guardians of a future still waiting to be rewritten.
