"Let's save the remaining 20 draws for later" Sento thought as he watched the first battle of the Naruto plot unfold.
The moon hung low over Konohagakure, its pale glow casting silvery shadows across the rooftops. Beneath that light, a storm brewed—not in the skies, but in the heart of a boy who carried a burden he barely understood.
Naruto Uzumaki sat alone on a swing, its rusty chains creaking as he swayed back and forth. The graduation exam had gone as expected—another failure. Another blow to the dream he clung to. His fingers clenched around the rope tightly, knuckles pale.
He wanted to become Hokage, to be acknowledged, to show everyone he wasn't a monster. But once again, he had fallen short. The other children had passed. He had not.
And all he got were glares. Whispers. Pity. Rejection.
From the edge of the academy courtyard, Team RWBY watched in silence. Weiss's arms were crossed, her eyes unusually soft. Yang looked frustrated, clenching her fists like she wanted to punch someone. Blake stood still, eyes unreadable. Ruby, however, took a step forward.
"He failed…" she murmured. "That… that sucks."
"He doesn't need sympathy," Blake said. "He needs someone to believe in him."
Ruby nodded. "Then let's do that."
They approached slowly. Ruby kneeled beside Naruto. "Hey… you okay?"
Naruto turned his head slightly, blinking in surprise. "Oh. It's you guys."
Weiss stepped beside them. "You look pathetic."
"Wha—?!"
"But that's okay. You can cry if you want," Weiss added, quieter. "You don't have to hide it."
Yang dropped down beside him and ruffled his hair. "Who cares about one dumb test? You're still awesome, y'know?"
Naruto gave a weak smile. "Thanks. But you don't get it… I keep failing. No one sees me. I'm just… me."
"But we see you," Ruby said, her silver eyes warm. "And we believe in you."
"We're your friends," Blake said firmly, her voice carrying more weight than she intended.
Before he could respond, a shadow approached from the alley behind the academy.
"Ah, there you are, Naruto," Mizuki said, a practiced smile on his face.
The girls immediately tensed. Ruby stood up, Weiss's hand drifted toward her rapier, and Blake's eyes narrowed. Yang cracked her knuckles with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"Hey, sensei," Naruto said, standing quickly.
Mizuki gave the girls a wary glance. "Could I talk to you for a moment? Alone."
Ruby frowned. "Why?"
"It's about how you can pass… even after failing."
Naruto blinked. "Really?!"
"Yeah. I just… can't say it here. It's a special exam."
Naruto hesitated, glancing at Team RWBY.
"It's okay," Mizuki said. "It's a secret. You understand, right?"
Naruto nodded, though reluctantly. "I'll be back, guys!"
Yang stepped forward. "Wait, Naruto—!"
But he was already running off.
Weiss frowned. "Something's off. That man is suspicious."
Blake's eyes were unreadable. "We follow him."
They nodded in agreement.
Later that Night
The village was on alert.
Shinobi sprinted from rooftop to rooftop, chatter filling the air—Naruto Uzumaki had stolen the forbidden Scroll of Seals from the Hokage's residence.
Team RWBY stood atop a rooftop, watching the chaos.
"He's being set up," Weiss said plainly.
"Obviously," Blake said, arms folded. "This has 'manipulation' written all over it."
Ruby bit her lip. "We have to find him."
"I already did," Blake said, eyes glowing faintly as she activated her shadow tracking technique—a new ability from her upgraded clone-based bloodline. "He's in the forest, west of the training grounds."
(A/N: Team RWBY semblance turned into to bloodline the moment they were summon into Naruto world)
—-------------------
They found him in a clearing, panting, sweat dripping down his brow as he practiced the Shadow Clone Jutsu over and over. The ground was littered with copies of himself—fully formed, real shadow clones, far beyond what any academy student should be capable of.
Ruby gasped. "Whoa… he really learned it?"
Yang grinned. "Kid's got guts."
Then Iruka appeared, out of breath. "Naruto! What are you doing?!"
Naruto flinched, clutching the scroll. "I-I'm just trying to pass!"
Iruka's eyes widened. "Who told you that?!"
"...Mizuki-sensei…"
Iruka's face turned pale.
And then it happened—kunai flew through the air, aimed directly at Iruka.
But they never reached.
A flash of red and silver blurred through the air. Ruby's Petal Burst—a result of her upgraded swift release bloodline—cut the trajectory instantly, deflecting the kunai with a wind-backed slash of her scythe.
"Step away from him," Ruby warned, eyes glowing faintly.
Mizuki dropped from the trees, his face twisted. "Tch. What are you girls?"
"Nuisances," Weiss said, summoning a trio of icy Glyphs in a circle.
Snow and frost exploded outward as the Glyphs shimmered—her Kekkei Tota bloodline manifesting visibly. Ice crusted over the leaves and ground, and a barrier formed in front of Iruka just in time to intercept Mizuki's giant Fuma Shuriken.
"You… You're from the Yuki clan?" Mizuki growled.
"No," Weiss said coldly. "My bloodline is mine alone."
Before Mizuki could respond, shadows stretched unnaturally beneath his feet. Blake emerged from them like a wraith, her kunai already at Mizuki's throat.
"Don't blink."
Mizuki barely had time to gasp before she disarmed him with a precision strike to his wrist.
Yang leapt in next, her fists glowing with a fiery-red aura as shockwaves pulsed from her—heat shimmered in the air around her skin, like she was about to explode.
"Try and touch Naruto again. I dare you."
Mizuki stumbled back, now completely surrounded.
"You little brats—!"
That's when Naruto stepped forward, eyes filled with newfound strength. "You lied to me…"
Mizuki snarled. "So what?! They'd never accept a monster like you!"
"What? What do you mean?" Naruto asked surprised.
"Stop it!!!!" Iruka shouted.
"It means that you are the nine tailed demon fox that killed Iruka parents and destroyed the village" Mizuki revealed the "Truth".
"Don't you find it odd that everyone hates you? Iruka also hates you!" Mizuki declared.
"Shut up!!!" Naruto shouted as he used multi shadow clones jutsu.
He crossed his fingers. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
In a puff of smoke, dozens of Naruto clones appeared all around Mizuki.
Team RWBY moved in sync.
Ruby dashed forward, cutting through Mizuki's path of retreat. Weiss conjured an ice barrier behind him. Blake's clone stepped into his blind spot. Yang punched forward, launching Mizuki airborne—then Ruby, Naruto, and Blake's clones all leapt up and crashed down together with blunt strikes.
Mizuki hit the ground, groaning, beaten and unconscious.
Naruto and team RWBY beat up Mizuki.
—-------------------
"And Naruto you are just the container, a jinchuriki, not the nine tails" Ruby explained as she cleared up the misunderstanding.
"Also Naruto, I don't hate you" Iruka said as he hugged Naruto.
Naruto smiled as he cried tears of joy.
"But Naruto, how did you create so many shadow clones… that's not a normal jutsu." Iruka asked.
Naruto rubbed his tears away as he smiled "Hehe… I just copied it from the scroll."
Iruka stepped forward and slowly pulled out a headband. "Naruto… you pass."
Naruto's eyes widened. "Wha—really?!"
"You mastered a high-level jutsu. That's proof enough of your skill and determination."
Naruto's lips trembled as he took the headband.
Then Iruka pulled him into a hug. "I'm proud of you."
Naruto burst into tears again.
Team RWBY stood nearby, watching with soft smiles. Ruby sniffled and wiped her eyes. Yang gave a thumbs-up. Weiss folded her arms but smiled. Blake watched quietly, her expression softer than usual.
